2024 Presidential Candidate Talk

Both sides act like absolute petulant children to each other - while literally fucking us all and laughing about it together out of the spotlight.

Let us be real here at least.

Exactly.

I see no issue with what those 20+ house members did. Imagine if every member did the same. Things may actually get debated or bills actually read before rubber-stamping and screwing the taxpayers.

If you want everything to be smooth and without argument, why even have a republic with elected governance?

Agree. All this hand wringing cracks me up. Imo, this is actually a sign of hope for the Republicans. Still 100% on the side of gridlock though lol.

Plus Sean Hannity from Fox preaching that all the infighting should’ve been done “behind closed doors” -NO, it shouldn’t have!

When I actually listened to what the “villain” Gaetz had to say, I liked it; did he actually mean it? -who knows.

Meanwhile, the Rogers guy who is now famously known for almost getting physical, is an old dude with the worst frickin’ hairpiece… Call me shallow, but I’ll be judging that book by it’s cover.

I think that negotiating in good faith is a good thing and you’ve given a lot of examples of good results from the speaker fight. At the same time, I feel like some of the holdouts were just never McCarthiers. Which is fine if you have someone to support instead. But no one was actually willing to openly run against him. So it just looks like a temper tantrum at that point.

I do think more open debate is good for congress. But it has to actually be open debate where everyone lays out what they are trying to achieve. It got to a point where the Boebert/Gaetz contingent wasn’t doing that. Everything they had asked for was given short of McCarthy just not running. If no McCarthy is your plan, you need an alternate and Jeffries doesn’t count.

Hannity sucks. Always loved talk radio but whenever hannity came on i change the channel. Not only is he a blowhard, but he is not entertaining. I’ve never understood where all his listeners and viewers came from.

I also dislike Glenn Beck. He sounds like he’s, or actually is, crying half the time. I’ll throw Mark Levin in as well, because he has so many shit positions and an annoying voice.

I can’t stand this spineless whiner either.

While I like where the current House of Representatives stands in terms of leadership, almost everything they pass will die in the Senate. Complete gridlock. The silver lining, though, is 401K’s will increase!

He’s about as useful as a rose bush is as toilet paper. I borrowed one his books from the library back when I was a moron who trumpeted right wing stuff just because and I returned it after reading about 20 pages.

As far as talk radio goes, certain programs on NPR are still good (most have drifted from neutral to taking sides).

I plan to be “retired” by 50.

I’ve seen left slant on NPR lately. I’d like it if they were more neutral.

It isn’t super blatant IMO. I believe the actual reporting of events to be fairly good. I’ve noticed though that it seems that they have been passing race related ideas / hypothesis as fact. Things that I do not believe have been proven. Or having guests on and not questioning them on these points. This would be stuff related to race and police relations, inequality, jail / prison, etc…

Also not as big of a deal IMO, but kinda over the top in being politically correct. For example, I was driving to pick up some lunch, and there was a special on the extra costs involved in health care for what I would consider women haha. They were bending over backwards to not say woman / women. Menstruating people, child birthing people, people with vaginas.

So females?

This reminds me of George Carlin’s “soft language” bit. All it does is make people ignore one’s point.

I still will never get bending to people’s insane delusions that are not rooted in any facts or biology.

Call me a bigot - I don’t care. These people are fucking insane with severe mental problems.
