2024 Presidential Candidate Talk

I don’t really think it’s fair to believe someone in such a position has any beliefs in common with the rest of the administration. What is fair is believing a shirtless, adult male wearing a moose wig is the leader of every non-Progressive.

Man single payer is awesome!

Changed my mind - let’s do it and just euthanize all the leeches.

They’ll protest saying the drugs aren’t good enough to kill them…

Those who say “the rich” don’t pay enough taxes have never had a salary in the 6 figure range.

Don’t even get me started there.

And the bullshit concept of “paying your fair share”. When the bottom 50%+ effectively pay zero federal income tax.

I’ve never had someone explain to me successfully or logically how that is “fair”.

Do I use more government services? Roads? Etc?

Must be a fucked definition of fair.

There has to be more to this story. I’m laughing at the absurdity.

They have modified their “fair” argument to include equity of outcome. The liberals would like you to feel the same pain (equity of pain) when paying taxes.

If you find yourself living pay check to pay check, it is painful to pay any taxes. But you must admit, there is no equity of pain when a successful person pays taxes, though it does feel like you have been peacefully burglarized.

This is true, but having people foam at the mouth and toss vitriol at people that pay more in taxes in a year than they will in 100 lifetimes is always comical to me.

They are a losers and contribute almost nothing but idiocy and peanut butter and jealous.

Exactly. I know I don’t pay as much as you in taxes but i still pay a pretty penny every year (even with 3 kids).

And I use less resources than people who generally don’t pay (I don’t use food stamps, housing assistance, Medicare etc…). I wouldn’t mind paying taxes if I actually saw some decent products of it.

My only semi consolation prize is that since I work for a DoD contractor, my taxes kind of pay my salary.

So you want me to break it all down for you? Have you not read the study?

Besides military and infrastructure - the government can’t even run a brothel in the red.

Too many hands in the pot and absolute ineptitude with zero consequences.

Correct.

I have, and do not see answers to my questions.

Of course, the only problem is they’ve been saying this for decades and have been wrong every time.

Greece gave up their sovereign currency for the Euro. A no-no in the world of currency. Greece is now like a state in the U.S. They have to live off tax revenue or petition the Fed. government to give them some. Like when there is a natural disaster. The Fed. comes to the rescue. So now Greece must grovel to get more Euros. They fucked up, big time!

There are plenty of sanctions on Venezuela. Which countries have sanctions and embargoes on the U.S.? If their economic system is such a train wreck, then why don’t capitalist countries like the U.S. just leave them alone? But no, they have to sanction , embargo or lead a regime change on them.

And who would they be? Corporate Democrats? The fraud squad?

Since you have a different opinion of this why don’t you explain to me why the “free-market” “healthcare” system is so wonderful and how the study missed this truth.

And what are your questions that haven’t been answered?

This is the “too big to fail” argument.

Greece was never supposed to fall, nor the Roman Empire, nor the ottomans, Egyptians, Aztecs, Incas…

Every empire falls. Some sooner than others. 50-60 years is short in the history of a nation. I do not expect America to last in its current form. More than likely it will break up into smaller countries.

Greece had a debt crisis in 1826, 1843, 1860, 1893, 1932 and 2012. The greek drachma was the currency in the first five crises.

You’re writing as if getting direct help from fellow members of a political and economic union is somehow bad.

European Union Solidarity Fund - Wikipedia

Yields on Greek T-bills are around 3,8 to 4%, depending on the maturity. In neighboring Turkey, which is not in the EU, T-bill yields are between 9 and 10%.

If “fucking up” means paying for something three times cheaper than your neighbor, then we have a different definition of “fucking up”.

Because I’m not making claims.

How these countries’ healthcare systems provide better healthcare for less money. That has been my only question.

And why did those other countries fail?

Call it what you like but they’ve been saying the same thing at least until Reagan’s time. And they’ve been wrong every time but you still believe them and I don’t. However, I’m the one who is called a know-it-all because I can see that these people are absolute fools, like those who follow them. Who can be wrong for decades and still stand by their constantly wrong positions?

Hmmm. I could almost get down with that.
