Another fun anecdote: Bonds was the hitting coach for the marlins in 2016 (giancarlo stanton, christian yelich, jt realmuto, etc). They had a team home run derby during spring training for fun. Apparently Bonds, at age 51, won it. Absolutely ridiculous.
Matt Stafford, a top 10ish QB, was traded to LA. Multiple teams made fairly aggressive offers.
Apparently the one team Stafford listed as a no go was New England LOLLL.
