Haha enjoy! And remember, you already had a royals championship. Some of us (Jets Mets Knicks) have never and will never see a championship!
You could have easily chosen to be a Giants fan. I canāt help you with basketball and hockey.
I donāt think it works that way, my dad was a jets fan since they beat the colts in the super bowl, lol. Didnāt have a choice.
Boooooo!
Why canāt my city win all the championships!
Are you on the left coast???
If SF is your team then you already won. The Chiefs got Montana and Allen after they won with the Ninersā¦back in the 90s.
Great game. Niners brought the pressure -at one point, the stat on TV said that after 34 dropbacks, Mahomes had been sacked 3 times and knocked down 11ā¦crazy. But Mahomes persevered, and he showed his greatness.
ā¦just like the tiger tried to tell the humans, but was misunderstood⦠;-0
Ya, in Oregon. But a SF fan for all sports.
SF Giants, GS Warriors and was hoping for a 49ers win.
Well, youāve had enough wins to last a lifetime.
36 years of heartbreak ends today. Down 24, down 10, and down 10 in the super bowl with what 6 and a half left?
Unreal. So happy for Andy Reid. Iāve met him a few times at chiefs training camp which Iāve gone to at least a few days each year since they have been in St Joe. Seems like such a great guy and heās had some real tragedy with his family.
Happy for all of Chiefs kingdom. Iām pumped for the parade!
Honestly I never thought the Royals or Chiefs would get one. The royals had been horrid for a long time and the chiefs had a long history of playoff fuckups.
If Boston and the Cubs can break curses one of those three can do it.
The first 4 minutes is really good, but if you have some time to kill watch the rest of the vid too.
Iām guessing the people who called to boycott Nike and the NFL are going to ignore this completely?
For some reason I havenāt seen a lot of right wing websites call voting against him and boycotting his products.
I remember that play. Bono from 76 yards on foot had to be about as likely as the chiefs lining up and drilling a field goal from there.
On one hand, you have people who actively speak about their protest against the country. On the other, you have a guy whoās goofing off at a private partyā¦
The article isnāt even certain if the National Anthem is from the TV broadcast or a live performance.
And this is in the wrong thread.
Like X a googol.
I added it due to discussion early on about Kaepernick.
To me on one hand you have people taking a knee to protest what they see as injustice. On the other hand you have the guy who is talking about how horrible all that is clowning around while other people seem to be taking it quite seriously.
And itās not a guy goofing off itās the President. FWIW I donāt think either is a huge deal and think the whole what are you doing while the anthem is being played is incredibly overrated. One could kneel and still have respect for the country and the military and one could place hand over their heart and not. The one clowning makes no attempts to hide disdain for past military heroes, POWās, generals, etc.
Iāll keep this short and then drop it.
Kap spoke out in a blanket statement basically saying cops are all white racists and they kill black people without being held accountable. Thatās statistically false and quite ignorant. He took it further by wearing socks that insulted cops. He really took the cake by donating to a convicted cop killerās defense fund. And then he posed for Nike and said āStand for something even if it means sacrificing everything.ā He gets paid millions upon millions by Nike in an endorsement deal. He hasnāt sacrificed a damn thing.
Anqan Boldin, on the other hand, also protests police injustice. He had a relative killed by an off duty cop (theyāve been running the commercials). However, he is smart enough to know that one incident does not define an entire population. He says there are good cops and there are those who donāt deserve to carry the badge. Heās right. Police work is not immune to the human factor just like every other career field.
Here, we have two examples of black athletes using their platform to change the world. One does it in an ignorant and hateful way while the other starts a dialogue and starts working with people on both sides.
My post was centered around the fact that people who acted like behavior during the national anthem is super important will remain silent if that behavior is done by someone they like.
A guy who attacked a person for what he did during the anthem is now showing no respect during the anthem. My post was to point out the hypocrisy of the situation and to also point out that those who freak out over knees during the song wonāt have any problem with this because itās coming from someone they like.
So Iāve been following the ādebateā over whether Eli Manning belongs in the HOF.
After watching the latest SB, I am squarely in the āHell Yeah!ā camp, and the fact that I am a Giants fan is only relevant because I actually watched Eliās 2 SB victories in real time.
Hereās why: when KC took the lead late 24-20, Jimmy Garofolo missed a wide open Emmanuel Sanders heading into the end zone, for what wouldāve been an easy touchdown. But guess what? Jimmy overthrew it and missed the sure TDā¦because it aināt that easy!!! Eli made 2 unbelievable throws (one after escaping an almost sure sack, something he never does in the regular season) to bring his team back to win those games. People who say winning SBs doesnāt put Eli into the HOF need to watch more games. Regular season and the playoffs are two different animals. Perspective.
