You didn’t want Rhule? He even called the Giants to give them an opportunity to match his offer, I think he really wanted to come to NY. Not saying the hire is bad, I’m a Jets fan and I’d rather have a used jock strap than our current HC, but I was really surprised by it.

Or do you mean that you hope the Giants hire a better HC, and you haven’t seen who they hired?

Shit, I had to check, didn’t see the Giants hire.

I don’t like it. It’s this same “Sean McVay is a genius, so let’s hire every schmoe who ever coached under him, no matter how young or inexperienced”.

I was hoping the Giants would go after Stepanski in Minnesota.

add: referring to Vrabel/O’Brien/now Flores; forgetting about the Patricias

no my guy. everyone knows what is happening at ESPN. You don’t just lay off entire departments, let go of old school anchors with expensive contracts, and completely restructure your business if things are going smoothly.

Compared to the World Cup ? are you fucking serious?

I could do this all day, but we hired Adam Gase, who got the reputation of being the quarterback whisperer because he worked with Peyton Manning for a year.

But yeah, I wasn’t that impressed. That being said, anyone who works under Belichick has at least some rudimentary understanding of the Pats’ culture - and hate them or not, it’s a solid culture. Best of luck to you guys, anyhow.

That’s not the point. You said the channel is dying, and I said it’s literally #1 in the 18-49 demographic in viewership. That, by definition, is not dying. But you’ve never been one to let a fact get in your way, so let’s just cut this off. ESPN is dead despite being #1, London NFL games are filled with half free tickets and 40 thousand Americans, and my favorite - there are no libraries anymore.

I think with Jerry still getting involved with everything and undermining the coach, he’ll be the same as Garret.

For that team…

Look at the other guys who worked under him and failed.

As a Vikings fan, I must say we try our hardest to keep the saints from advancing in the playoffs. We will never forget 2009. Payton should have had a 10 year suspension like his defensive coordinator. Instead he gets a measly 1 year suspension…

Shhh, I’m a crosstown fan, I hope they suck ass, was just being polite.

I’m the Mets fan that actively roots against the Yankees. I cheered when the Rangers lost in the Cup. But you can’t help but to have a tiny itty bitty soft spot for the team that humiliated the Pats twice.

To be fair, dude, the Saints have gotten their comeuppance. That last play was, by definition, OPI, and the rule was created because of what happened to the Saints, and they didn’t even get the benefit of it.

Not taking anything away from the Vikings’ play that whole game, but that should have been brought back, and every sports commentator and ex-referee agrees.

Disagree here. They were paying players to injure opposing team players. Coach should be out indefinitely.

I do like Teddy of course.

This can never be emphasized enough!!!

To be fair, we only humiliated them once, when the Patriots were CLEARLY the superior team and marching inexorably to the greatest NFL season ever, undefeated. Then Belichick the Smirk decided he was going to flex his muscles, rub it in the Giants’ faces, and actually lost ROFLMFAO. This game, alone, IMHO, highlights why I will never join the greatest coach of all time ass-licking club. As I’ve said before, greatest GM though, makes decisions solely based on the facts/talent, no emotions, no wasted money spent.

Teddy Two Gloves! Sick fuckin QB. Such a shame what happened to him.

I think had they started Teddy, they would have probably won the game. 5-0 with Teddy this year.

It was a total freak accident. No contact, just buckled as he stepped back. I am mad at the Vikings for not keeping him. Hopefully he gets a chance as a starter next year.

I know, at one point, the Pats had Antonio Brown, Josh Gordon, and a couple other people under a combined salary that was less than one year of Leveon Bell, haha.

Also the master of making little undrafted white guys relevant wide receivers again.

@flappinit

Also, imo Belichick’s coaching cost the Patriots the SB against Philly as well.

Benching Butler definitely lost that, yup.

Doesn’t beat Pete Carroll not giving the ball to Lynch, though.

And then doing it again Week 17.

And then almost doing it again in the playoff game until Lynch rolled his way into the end zone…

Don’t forget Randy mothereffin’ Moss!
