C’mon man. The stillers have what looks like the worst defense in the league this year. At least let them have an offense. Brown pulling triple coverage allowed JuJu and James to get over 150 yards each.

On the other hand, will trade AB and LevBell for proven: ILB+CB+FS+SS. Need to make a sandwich board:ā€œwill trade drama for defensive backsā€.

Fans are turning on the coaching staff for allowing this nonsense. They’re threatening fans on Twitter. Maybe I’ll root for Jacksonville this year.

That wasn’t my experience … but hey some people aren’t secure enough to just let fingers roam

Don’t feel bad, the’ll still beat the Raven’s on a 4th quarter 37 second drive + field goal after Brown catches a 65 yard pass on 3rd and 20.

…while being on the receiving end of a wicked facemask.

Most people don’t know that a group of 3 or more Eli Manning’s is called a fumble.

Maybe this belongs in the Flame Free thread, but I really want to see the Browns do well this year, I want to see them produce a QB (Mayfield) that isn’t a bust simply because he was drafted to Cleveland, and I want to see them climb out of that underdog role and be competitive.

Miles Garret is for real. That new cornerback was pretty good too. Tyrod isn’t that bad, but running quarterbacks have a short shelf life in the NFL.

I wish they weren’t in the Saints’ division. I could enjoy rooting for them with him as their QB.

Tyrod was a godsend for the Bills and they shit on him mercilessly over and over again, taking him out for the worst QB ever and still having him take them to the playoffs. The Bills have a million things wrong at the moment but now that Tyrod’s gone they’re the worst team in the NFL, by far.
I really do want to see the Browns do well and I’m excited to see what Baker can do, but I just feel like he’s been quite a good QB for some time given the problems he’s had to work through.

Poor Eli… His O-line is awful. How much time does he have left? Not long, he’s going to be killed behind those guys.

Yeah, and that’s why I disagree with the criticism over drafting Saquon Barkley. Yes, as a Jets fan I’m super happy we got Darnold (not that he’s done anything amazing yet, but he looks like a smart and capable QB), but that’s not why I think their draft pick was defensible - they have had no running game for some time now, and if they had drafted a rookie QB behind THAT offensive line, they’d destroy his confidence and ruin his career. Fix the O-Line, fix the defense, fix pretty much everything, and Eli can still make some things happen. Make no mistake, next year is probably the year to get a QB, but if they’d gotten a QB this year, they’d be in the same predicament they are now but with no superstar RB.

As a Giants fan, I am glad the Giants picked the sure thing star RB in Barkley. That long TD run he made against the Jags is something only a special talent could’ve done. Elusiveness, balance, strength, and speed.

With QBs, you never know until they actually play in the NFL, IMO, plus on any given Sunday…has everyone already forgotten Foles was a SB winner last year, and before that Flacco got hot, and way before that you had the not very talented Trent Dilfer win one?

I just finished watching the Browns-Jets game, and at this given point in time, Barkley over Darnold looks good to me. Mayfield, though, man it’s only one game but Mayfield has that ā€œlookā€ about him -totally looked like The Man out there. Mayfield finds the open guy, quick, and lasers it in; spreads the ball around. Darnold fixates on one guy/read (Enunwa, mostly), and then runs for his life if that one guy is not open; or, if the circumstances are dire, he flings it anyway whether the guy is open or not.

Browns’ future looks bright, the new GM Dorsey is making all the right moves with his player picks. If they had a better coach than Hue Jackson, they’d be 3-0 right now. In tonight’s game, it was like the team was rudderless until Mayfield came in and took over the leadership reins.
And yes, I know it wasn’t Hue’s fault that the kicker missed the field goals last week, but Hue comes from the Marvin Lewis ā€œcoaching treeā€, and that’s enough indictment for me right there.

edit to add: if I’m not mistaken, I think Dorsey was at KC and responsible for the Pat Mahomes pick there, plus Tyreek Hill

Browns win. Browns win?.. Browns win!

With that o-line he will quickly go from star running back to injured running back.
I just don’t see how any skilled players can surevive that system. I think Eli may be the first player to be decapitated.

It wasn’t pretty but yeah they won. I was surprised at how bad Tyrod was though. I expected better.

Looking at the Dolphins schedule right now, could be an 8-0 start.

Just glad Tannehill is back, he’s a solid QB… still sad that Landry is gone though.

Damn Mayfield slings it, he has a canon. Launched a missile at Landry, hit him right in the chest. Also had one pass that looked like an easy INT but it was just a rocket, bounced off the defender. Solid debut, impressive.

Was just so happy watching them beat the Jets though. Any time the Bills, Jets, Patriots, or Cowboys lose, it makes my day.
