Browns… Seriously, our owner is from Tennessee and loves Peyton. [/quote]

I could be wrong of course, but Peyton strikes me as the kind of guy that knows when the gig is up and when he retires, he will retire.

I would be shocked if Peyton had another year n him. I like him alot, a true testament to the sport and a stand-up guy, but the guy is about as graceful as a train crash.

Between the lack of mobility and the neck injuries, i cringe anytime he gets touched. Hopefully some knucklehead doesnt get the wise ideal to lay out an all timer and do serious damage.

I dont know if he would be able to coach, but he would be the best analysis on television.

Nothing better than the “idiot kicker” interview

Are you saying you would hate to see someone make an illegal hit on him, or that they should be careful when attempting to sack him maybe not hit him as hard?

Seahawks always seem to play well when they face the 49ers. Man, that was an ugly game for SF fans… That offensive line was… really bad… Also, concerning Seahawk’s rushing plays, I wouldn’t be surprised if they gained 40-50 yards BEFORE contact. The tackling and angles taken was atrocious.

Both. Obviously an illegal would be horrible.

Guys like Peyton/Brady/Brees should be looked at differently among defenses. Not wearing flags playing touch football, but it should be an unwritten rule you dont blow up (potentially kill) one of the pillars of league. Not saying dont hit him, but dont hit them the way you would Scam newton, or Rapistburger. You get within 3’ of Peyton these days, he’ll go down, he’s not looking to extend the play and take a hit for any reason (maybe a ring).

Really it comes down to not wanting to see one of these older QB’s taken off on a cart with their head/neck/back stabilized.

The second a guy’s intensity changes because of who is behind center is the second he should be taken off the field. Hit everyone the same.

Guys already dont hit QBs like they did 3-4 years ago, and there is nothing wrong with NOT laying out a 40yr old. Peyton and Brady go down if they feel hands on them, and there is no need to potentially kill them with a big hit.

The 49ers look really bad. Crazy that Hyde has been playing with a stress fracture in his foot for the past couple weeks.

Not every sack is seen coming by the QB. A defensive player should use the same intensity when hitting an UFA as he does on an older HOF QB. Zero difference. This is coming from a Pat’s fan, too. This the National Football League, not pee wee football. The role of a defensive player is not just to sack the QB if that is his responsibility that play, it is to violently hit them, strip the ball, and jar their confidence.

Yep, they look like crap. I’ll quote myself from 9/13, not to say ‘I was right’ (because I sure am wrong about Philly so far), but to recap:

“The 49er’s roster has been decimated by free agency, surprise retirements, and cuts. They will not be in contention for the playoffs this year I imagine. That, and people severely underestimate the departure of Jim Harbaugh, liked or unliked. Besides, the Rams have gotten better. I would not be surprised in the least if the 49ers are last in the division.”

SF is just plain bad.

EDIT

I would say, cut Kap and Brooks (or at least restructure his contract) after the season. After dead money, that leaves a little over 16 million in cap savings. Kap is NOT the franchise QB and Brooks, while productive, doesn’t warrant almost 10 million a year. They’re in contention for a top 5 draft pick, and it is time to enter rebuilding mode.

Yep agreed. Kap needs a FIRM QB coach or head coach. He has degraded dramatically.

At least the 9er’s don’t have the deal with Hardy. The Cowboys are not only reeling but they have an ass clown knocking clipboards out of coaches hands while he’s trying to get his unit out on the field. Why Dallas is putting up with that shit, I don’t know. Yeah he’s good, but he’s no so good that he can act like that. What a disgrace. He should be cut.

Cut him lol? Jerry is trying to extend him lol.

Agreed, players can’t act like that.

Oh I heard what JJ had to say, unbelievable. I get players being passionate and shit with their teammates and yelling and getting them fired up. But when you push a coach and knock a clipboard out of his hand while he’s trying to get his unit on the field is just unreal.
I think too many enablers are looking at the scuffle with Bryant who, I am willing to bet was telling him he can’t be pushing coaches and acting a fool while the guy is trying to do his job.
I feel bad for the rest of the team, actually. That they have to put up with that shit and then hear that he’s about to be rewarded with a big contract.
It’s the act against the coach that I don’t get.
“He’s a real leader”? Do what? He’s played 2 games.

Just saw the video where he got into Rich Bisaccia’s face… How was he not disciplined…

I became a bigger fan of Hardy over this weekend and I hope he does get extended. There is a guaranteed ZERO percent chance that what happened has a negative impact on this team. It is going to help us going forward. He is passionate and obviously wants to win badly. We are talking about FOOTBALL here. And a defensive lineman on top of that. Those are the guys that you want on your team, that if they didn’t have football you don’t know where they might end up. I want a few guys on my football team that are very very dangerous especially lineman. Unlike Suh, Hardy doesn’t play dirty.

Life long Cowboys fan. Totally ashamed we signed Hardy. He’s not a drug addict, an alcoholic, or bipolar. He’s just an asshole who beats on women.

I get JJ extending him. Gone from sacks on 5% of plays to 12% since he came back. Not worth selling your soul for though.

Hardy is a phenomenal pass rusher on the field. Off the field and on the sideline, not so much a phenomenal team mate. I strongly disagree that it won’t have a negative impact. Coaches being disrespected with no consequences and star players getting to do what they want is NOT something that doesn’t have a negative impact.

You think he fired up those special teams guys or do you think he created a divide? You think he got the ST coach to do a better job or do you think he pissed him off? Dez Bryant telling him that crap isn’t OK does NOT create team chemistry.

In part of the video when Hardy is going off, he is telling Hyden and Crawford that he would bleed for them. “I will go out there and bleed for you!”
