I would pay him that. He is legit[/quote]

It’s a lot of money when some of the more important members of the team are due big pay days next year. By the time this team has a legit QB they’ll be in salary cap hell with no draft picks. Whaley has been in “win now” mode since he took over GM duty, and it’s gonna hurt sooner rather than later.

Honestly, I think that is the only way to go in Buffalo. Win now. I wouldn’t get my hopes up to build a year in year out contender there.

You had a very solid defense last year, get some points on the board and y’all have a chance. Make moves to be in the mix for a couple years and when the fire goes out blow it up and start over.

It’s Buffalo. No one really wants to go play in Buffalo.

Nah, it’s not like that in the NFL.

Given the relatively short length of NFL careers and lack of guaranteed contracts, players are chiefly interested in playing time and getting meaningful snaps which, in turn, provides them opportunity to get paid.

There’s a reason we’ve never heard of a ‘no-trade’ clause as part of an NFL contract.

No trade clause. Players in the nfl get them, I think Fitzgerald has one or did.

I believe there are guidelines that have to be met before a player can negotiate for one in his contract. I think the nba has a similar setup and they only have something like 4 players with a no trade clause.

No Fly Zone in full effect.

Seattle did well keeping most of its key players:

I just wish the Cards would stop the whole Adrian Peterson thing. I know everyone is in this gotta win now mode but don’t want to see the future mortgaged to get him.
There are plenty of good RBs in the draft and still a few good veterans that will cost a LOT less. Steven Jackson, Knowshon Moreno, Ahmad Bradshaw, or Ronnie Brown to a 1-2 yr prove it. After Gordon and Gurley they can still pick up a RB in rds 2-4. Andre Ellington was a 6th rd pick. Jay Ajayi, TJ Yeldon, Mike Davis, David Johnson, or David Cobb would fit our offense. I really don’t expect us to pick at 24 anyway. Look to trade back and pick up extra picks and maybe a veteran player.

^There are some really intelligent football players. It’s a shame idiots like Johnny Manziel ruin their reputation.

Dude the Pats are going to shit next year with the rest of the division greatly improved. I gotta get my gloating in now…

I’m surprised the Pats defender was able to intercept a fully inflated ball…

Ha!

Honestly I don’t see the Raven’s in the playoffs, so whatever… They’re gonna need to have like the draft of all drafts to have a chance. The defense is not a Baltimore defense.

That was such classic Belichick.

I actually give him more credit for waiting until the AFC title game to use it, than for (deviously) conceiving of it in the first place.
