Look up his quotes on it, lol. Best 15 yard penalty all year, second to Collins a couple weeks ago flat out destroying a guy he didn’t need to, but it sure made dude think twice nice time he was on the field.

In other news, I watched some of the GB/PHILLY game… Since when do they not flag even slight helmet contact with a QB? (I’m not complaining here, fyi). Or is it because it was Sanchez, they let people hit him helmet to helmet?
Piggy backing off of that: Regardless of how you feel about the defenseless receiver rules, by the letter of the rule should the hit on Sanders in the Broncos Rams game have been flagged? I thought it was clean shoulder to should but it was just a decleater.

Mike Golic said this morning that he would like to see refs be given the ability to use replay to review helmet to helmet “defenseless” receiver hits like they do with the targeting penalty in college, not sure how I feel about that.
I don’t think it was a flag-able call, once I watched replay. Full speed, yeah I can see the flag there.

Either way, it was a monster hit, worth all those yards.

Fuck yeah I loved it.

Lol…

This has been going on forever. You probably aren’t aware of it because you watch Brady play each week
Ha

This was gold man gold.
You guys cracking jokes that Brady stays upright most of the time? Or that he gets special calls because he is him?
Probably because the refs are so quick to throw a flag on any contact with Brady, his own teammates quit giving him high fives for fear of drawing a 15 yd unnecessary roughness flag.

It isn’t that bad, lol.

Special treatment not special calls. Guy’s like Sanchez, Flacco, Rothlisberger (to an extent), etc… don’t get the calls nearly as often as Brady, Manning, Bress, etc…

I don’t really care, it’s just funny you said what you said.

Yeah, the running QB’s (Vick), the big QB’s (Rothlisberger), or the QB’s no one really cares about (Sanchez) don’t get the same protection as the immobile franchise guys ( Manning and Brady).

Early in the season I’ve seen some idiotic ticky tack calls on the Pats and other teams just for breathing within inches of the QB’s helmet, but they seem to be relaxing all around lately, and yesterday, it was like the 1990’s in there with GB smacking that poor fucker in the face all day.

Yeah, agreed. Not that I want to see dudes head hunting QB’s but a good clean hit is a good clean hit, and I want to see those.

Agreed

You guys think Mcloud could have picked that off? I’ll argue all day killing Sanders was more effective than any turnover, and he just changed the trajectory of this team for the rest of the season, but could he have?

Also, this is Manning’s fault. He had Sanders. A better throw and Sanders gets pushed out of bounds after a big catch… Not killed.

Personally I think there are a lot of passes that dbs can pick but don’t. I’d be willing to say Mcleod had “hit” on his mind the entire time over “pic”. Most likely because of the 2 other players involved being Sanders and Manning.

Nothing wrong with the hit, great for Pats fans

Hey Beans I was wondering if you’re on team 98.5 or 93.7?

Agreed. Manning led him to much. Saw where he acknowledged that he had the responsibility for that hit in the post-game press conference.

98.5

However, I’m not always in the mood for sports talk.

In the morning, I’ll listen on Monday’s during football season, and once football is over, all week, because they love hockey. I don’t even like hockey, but I like listening to them talk hockey.

Afternoons… Depends on my mood. Maz is a giant, enormous douche. Felger I can take most days, but Maz just really sucks massive hog.

When baseball is the only sport, I listen to music.

I don’t think he could pick it and I don’t think he was trying too. Looked like he was trying to make the hit during the catch.

I don’t think it should of been penalize no matter how brutal and unfortunate it was for Sander’s. I know they took Sanders out, is he out for a couple game/year?

No word yet, but it doesn’t look good. I’m thinking at least a week, and even then he won’t be himself for awhile.

They rushed back welker and the dude has been a zombie that doesn’t score ever sense.

This literally could have changed Sander’s career. Hope he recovers the day after he stops playing with Manning, lol.

I think they should give him a couple weeks rest at least. The worst thing they can do is rush him back and have him get his bell rung again. I think the rushing back is when you really start putting yourself at risk for long term damage. But you have seen recievers that take licks like that and alligator arm everything for the rest of their careers.

Gotcha.

Agree couple of weeks makes sense. Depending on what the Dr. say I’d probably keep him out until the Bengals game on 12/22. If they’ve got the division wrapped up before then I might wait until the playoffs start.

AZ Cardinals 9-1. No respect. Team and Arians could give a rats ass. Next man up.

They kind of remind me of the Chiefs last year.
