They beat the Rams. They won the game. The Rams were a superior group of players in almost all regards and positions (by most measures at that point.) That win wasn’t a “gift” nor was is not earned. Marshal Faulk still cries like a child about it too, lol.
They videotaped the Rams SB practices all week long, that’s actually what they did.
Then HC-Mike Martz chose to “take the high road” when asked about it afterwards, but it’s perhaps understandable that HOF’ers like M Faulk don’t share that sentiment.
Just the facts: Rams had gone into NE and won just weeks earlier… then in the rematch, NE DEF somehow knows all of STL’s redzone packages… and then the league punishes em for it.
Crow about it here, by all means, but there’ll be no inaccurate/revisionist history going on…

lmao… Booo HOOOO
whatever, The Pats won. Get the fuck over it already.
Ha you really are just cruising for an argument aren’t you?
lol. I’m far from a typical douchebag NE fanboy, and even at that, the crying and crowing about “but, but they cheated” is getting to the point were this sport’s fanbase looks like middle school girls arguing over who Jonny kissed first.

I’m not trying to be a dick, but the crying about a game played 12-13 years ago is rather pathetic.
The Pats won, and that is that. Nothing in that season is even remotely close to the defining moment for the franchise. Bigger deals:
Loss to the Giants to ruin the perfect season
Finding the gem in the later rounds of Brady
After decades of just plain shit on the field, a decade and a half of putting one of the better products in the league on the field
Trading talent that was at the tail end of it’s prime for “value” (which basically equates to being cheap fucks that have zero interest in actually winning rings, just being good enough to put asses in the seats.)
BB, one of the greatest coaches or just a damn good one with way too much power over a team?
At that point, anything that happened in 2001 or “spygate” starts entering the conversation.
I really do truly believe that Bill Belichick is one of the greatest minds to ever be in the game. He is easily up there with Lombardi, Noll, Landry, and Walsh.

I really can’t be objective about it, so I have to disagree out of principle, lol.
I’m not going to argue the point, just that I’m biased as hell lol. And contrary to how my posts may sound I try not to be a typical douche NE fan.

Ha I think Bill may be my biggest case against Brady. I feel like Brady gets too much credit for running a spectacular system from a spectacular coaching staff that even Matt Cassell could have a winning record with (obviously this year is an exception and I think he has outsmarted himself a little lately). But I digress.
EDIT: Basically I am calling Tom Brady the pro equivalent of AJ McCarron.

Funny, AJ McCarron was the QB I had the Pats pegged to draft this year (based on watching 0 college games and reading one article on nfl.com).

lmao… how am I crying??
I didn’t even bring up Rams vs Pats, I simply added (relevant) details to what you originally brought up and noted that it’s prob understandable if M Faulk is still upset about it.

Was speaking in more of a proverbial sense. Not indented as a direct insult to you.

Phillip Rivers named offensive player of the month, oh yeah. McCoy has really made him a better QB.
Rivers is a beast. If we can’t knock the Broncos off this year I hope you guys manage it.
Piggy backing on that: Do both wild card teams for the AFC come out of the West this year?
Possibly but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Baltimore take the second slot. Chiefs have a very tough slate of games. Hard to see us doing better than 9-7 or 8-8. If we play to our full potential we can give anyone a tough match but every team has bad days and good.

Cardinals at Broncos this weekend will be a hell of a game. I think it opened at 7 and is now 8 1/2 for the ponyboys.
I expect us to take Denver down.
All the “experts” are saying that Manning will destroy the Cards D. We’ve only allowed 1 td by a TE in 3 games and have yet to give up any points in the 4th qtr. Jefferson is playing great at safety and HB will be on the slot receivers. Bowles is great at disguising the D so adjustments are harder. Push the pocket back into Manning so he can’t step up. We’ve got some decent corners. We should be able to shut down their running game.
Everyone forgets that we’ve got some decent offensive players. They say Stanton is just a game manager. Who’s that other qb they call just a game manager? Oh yeah, Russell Wilson. They’ve really stopped him! While they’re covering Fitz, Floyd, and wondering where Ellington will line up who on the Broncos D will cover John Brown AKA Smoke? Our kicker Cat ain’t to shabby either.
Every team we’ve beat has went undefeated after we played them. SD 3-1, NYG 2-2, SF Beat Philly for 2-2. Not saying we’re good luck for whoever we play but the teams we’ve beaten are no pushovers.
Have a guy at work that’s given me my Cards and 17!

I guess there is a chance you guys could pull it off since the Chargers beat the Broncos at their place last year. Don’t underestimate Mile High stadium though, or sports authority field, whatever you want to call it. Their fans are loud and their fans are proud. I would take the Cardinals if the spread stayed above 7 though.
