“The End Times” are said to start when Jesus is born…
meaning “The End Times” are clearly time denoted as A.D. by us…
We’re talking past one another. In the NT, the “last days” are the time between Jesus’ death and his 2nd coming. “No one knows the day or the hour.”
newbatman wrote:
“The End Times” are the time after God is born translated into physical form in Bethlehem…
How did that work? Did he transform into a sperm and find the ovum? Did he just go right into zygote form? Was Mary just a convenient womb, or did Jesus share get 50% of his DNA from her?
When he was nursing, did he have his Godlike awareness and was He aware he was sucking on his mom’s tits? An innocent baby doing it is cute, an aware God is a bit creepy, no?
When Mary changed his diapers, was she aware that she was literally in front of Holy Shit? How cool is that? Imagine if you could sell a bottle of that on Ebay.
They spoke American English? Who knew.
Which just means that the “end times” would be in the future and not in the past, 'cause it’d be pretty dumb if we were living after the end of time, right? Not that your crap isn’t dumb anyway, but it still has a smattering of chronological consistency. Little else, but the end comes at the end and the start came before. It’s very impressive.
Anyway, thanks for stating the obvious in a very circumvoluted way.

newbatman, others can probably say this way better than I can, but man you’re stupid.
Jesus is dead, the bible is a book with a bunch of bullshit stories in it and all religion sucks. (I’m probably opening Pandora’s box with this statement)
Get over it.

When Jesus comes, does he yell “Oh Me! Oh Me! Oh Meeeeeeeeee!”

Obviously. But I was talking about Christians judging other Christians (assuming many of us here ARE Christians).
Iron Dwarf wrote:
The Bible clearly states that we can’t know the heart of another man.
we can’t…but God can…and if we have His Spirit helping us and instructing us we can know…
disernment of spirits is a spiritual gift that deals exclusively with just this…
but Paul explains that they could do mind readng in 2 Corinthians with prophecy too…
the apostles and others with the Holy Spirit in both testaments know people’s thoughts and heart via Holy Spirit phenomenah only though…

in summary:
we can’t…
but God can…
and if you have the Holy Spirit it will supply this information if it needs to…

Does Ignorance know that He’s an evil spirit?
Replacing one ignorance by another one probably won’t help.
Of course you do. The NIMH probably has a few lists where you satisfy every criteria too.
No, you have a bad case of religion poisoning with delusions of being one of the select few.

Uh huh. And what happens if you are listening to the wrong side of the playing field? How is this information provided and how are you certain it is coming from where you think it is?
Man is faulted. That includes you. The fact that you somehow think you aren’t and that you are judging people based on what God tells you is the height of arrogance.
God doesn’t like that either.

First of all, correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t think the Mayans made any claims about it being the end of time. It’s just that they didn’t create any calendars past that date. I think it is modern days shaman “wannabes” that have imposed their theories on the Mayan calendar.
If you look at an ephemeris, you will see that they have usually been done century by century (at the longest). That doesn’t mean that the people making the ephemeris believe that the world will come to an end at the end of the given century.
Now, I don’t know anything about mayan astronomy or astrology , but I certainly wouldn’t want to get my information from the History Channel. That station is like the “National Enquirer” of the airwaves.

I just know what the bible says in revelations and daniel chapter 7 and 8…
(babylon…persia…Alexander…Cleopatra and the boys…Rome…Rome…and more Rome…and then a lot more Rome…and then some more Rome…and Rome, Rome, and Rome for 1260 years from 538 to 1798…then a brief break…then Rome again and watch out we are approaching 1 third of water on earth becoming poisonous and China and Russia uniting…etc)
but as for Mayans:
I don’t listen to pagan stuff because it can fail…

The whole Mayan calandar thing is BS. Their calandar works based on cycles. Same as we have a 24 hr cycle, then a 7 day cycle, then a 28 day cycle etc. 12,21,2012 is just the end of another cycle in their calandar, it continues afterwards however in the shorthand that is used on many monuments they didn’t bother with the digits above it.
It’s a bit like the yr 2k thing. We used the shorthand of the last two digits of the year, so 1989 was written 89. This is fine until you get above 1999. Now you have to write the 4 digits to distinguish 2001 from 1901. This doesn’t mean that the world ends after 1999 or after 2012.
The only issue would be if your computers were running based on the Mayan calandar. I somehow doubt this is the case…
