Even the most inept campaign strategists (which Jim Messina and David Axelrod are not) would not consider losing a presidential debate on purpose, if that’s what you’re implying.

Thanks for finally admitting that you were wrong. That wasn’t so difficult now was it? I’ll bet that you feel a little relieved now. It’s OK to be wrong and it is even healthy to admit it.
My hero is Tony Iommi and as far as I know he safe somewhere hopefully kicking cancer’s ass.
And just for the record, I never watch debates- too high school for me. I prefer to pay attention to the numbers. The numbers rarely lie if you know how to read them.

Wrong because I didn’t state that there was only one Reagan/Carter debate? And referred to their only debate as their “first debate”? You truly are a pathetic little tool aren’t you?
Shall we compare that to your record?
I stated that Gallup was the finest polling service of its time (and still is). AND you could not refute it.
I stated that Gallup had Reagan behind before he debated Carter. AND you couldn’t refute it.
I stated that Reagan gained the lead after that debate. AND you couldn’t refute it.
I stated that Reagan held the lead and never once dipped lower than Carter after that debate. AND you couldn’t refute it.
Too difficult for you?
I understand…

I disagree, I think the man has largely skated for a variety of reasons. I also think that he’s lazy judging by the number of rounds of golf that he’s played. The amount of Basketball, vacations etc.
It also plays into his persona. When you are so very great you don’t have to work so very hard.
Well that’s comforting…something is mentally wrong with the President of the United States. But better you believe that than he just got his ass kicked because he’s been the second worst modern day President and is unable to defend his record.

And I enjoyed every minute of it, my only wish was that it could have gone on longer. My wife said that she didn’t see me blink for 90 minutes. Ha!

I wonder what color your world is?
No one ever loses a Presidential debate on purpose so that they can set up some sort of later day trap, or crow about how the other guy was wrong on his facts the next day.
LOL you have just left the realm of serious political junkie and entered the land of pure entertainment.
I love being entertained by those who are absolutely CLUELESS.
Thanks again for what you’ve said and please post more on this topic.
I’m not talking about some lingering, underlying mental illness, Zeb…and I think you know that.
He just wasn’t “there”; got shredded; and that’s it.

Agreed. Obama may have been “trying to play it cool” because romeny has been known to sit back and wait for someone to say something and then pounce. Maybe that is what obama tried. If that is what he tried, he failed.
Pulling out this speech a day later as some proof of intentionally losing a debate in which somewhere between 50-70 million people were watching is like Tom Brady coming in the day fater the superbowl and saying “yeah, I threw that ball high to Wes on purpose so he would make a highlight reel catch. We didn’t really want to win. We wanted to expose the Giants as the paper champs that they are.”
Fucking ludicrous this whole rope-a-dope notion is. But then again I’ve seen obama bots delude themselves into believe crazier shit.
Let me as you a question:
What is more powerful, calling a man out for his “lies” moments after he spoke them with enthusiasm and zest in front of 58 million people, or talking about it at a speech in front of 3,000 die hard fans the next day?
The concept of damage control escapes some people I guess.
Did I hear this correctly ?
That Al Gore is blaming Obama’s lameness on THE ALTITUDE ?
LOL !

That was not the real Mitt Romney…
?When I got onto the stage, I met this very spirited fellow who claimed to be Mitt Romney,? Obama told supporters, according to CBS News. ?The man on stage last night, he does not want to be held accountable for the real Mitt Romney?s decisions and what he has been saying for the last year.?

I understand Mufasa but thanks for pointing that out. I didn’t really think that you thought Obama was breaking under the pressure.
Remember me saying that arrogance is his biggest enemy? When you think you know it all you don’t feel that you have to prepare. He wasn’t ready and he got his head handed to him. I just don’t think that there is any other explanation other than that.

LOL. Really? “Who are you and what have you done with the easy opponent I was supposed to stomp in the election?” That’s what he’s got?
That literally sounds like something a child would say. As a joke.

I thought something like that too. “Who was that guy and why did he have to show up and ruin my night?”
But it is easy to attack someone who isn’t there to defend themselves. Obama, and his team are sleeze masters. They will run nasty ads accusing Romney of everything from being a tax cheat to a murderer. But, when it comes to a face to face show down…you saw what happened.

LOL. What was wrong with him was that he isn’t used to people speaking to him like that. He’s a narcissist who surrounds himself with sycophants. When Romney started telling him the truth to his face he couldn’t take it and reverted to a petulant, spoilt, angry and embarrassed little punk.
It was because of the altitude, according to Al Gore, who sold a shit ton of his stock in green companies recently since it was tanking.

So are you trying to tell us it was his attitude and not the altitude? Really?
I thought the altitude theory was “settled science.” After all 80% of all political pundits are in agreement that it’s the altitude that must’ve caused Bam’s lethargy.
Even Blow-Me-After-You-Rub-My-Shoulders-Gore is coming out with a new documentary titled, “An Inconvenient Debate” which details all the facts surrounding the idea that thin air is debilitating on sitting Presidents.
Can you imagine the (further) devastating results if the debate had been held at the summit of Mt. Whitney? Bam would’ve been a drooling idiot who continually fell out of his chair.[/quote]
Maybe being a mormon gives Mitt a genetic advantage at altitude, like being a Sherpa. Or something.
Soon it will be lack of organic soy milk which caused Obama’s mental impotence.
It’s funny watching people make excuses for him. A radio talkback caller likened it to battered wife syndrome. And yes Gore’s statement is desperate stuff.
