you’d be surprised. My RBs are Greene and Sproles at this point, thanks to Benson’s injury. lmao. Rough times.
I’ll send you guys offers in a bit assuming I want someone
In tnation league i clicked on something that showed playoffs and it only showed 4 slots i think? Seems like 6 would be a little better, give more teams a chance come playoff time. Seemed like last yr with a 16 team leag we had 6, dont think I’ve done many 10 or 12 teamers that wasnt 6. Just didnt know if it was talked about and i missed it or what. Maybe i wasnt looking at it right either…
Oh and pretty sure i put dez on the trading block a few weeks ago, perhaps on someone elses team he’d lose his stone hands ![]()

lol.
yeah, 4 people out of 14, that’s tough stuff. At that point I’m already out of the playoffs lol
big move andy! its a boom or bust trade for me! i think you got the better of it, but i really really needed a more consistent qb.

You know that Jake Locker is hurt right.

Yeah that was a big trade lol. What is this crap though, we have to wait til Sunday for our players to get moved?
Down by 33 with Manning left. RG3 on my bench with 34. Here’s hoping Manning lights up the Chargers

Ouch. I benched RGIII for Luck this week, was so sure he would have a big game. Now I’d need Decker to put up 25+ for me to win. Hope it works out for both of us.

Sorry man, when I read this I had not checked our FF and I was making a joke that you traded for Locker. ![]()
who’s Jamie (cruz control)? We are tied at 79, lol. He has Jacob Tamme tonight, I have Antonio Gates. Oh gawd.
Alright, what do you guys think of this trade offer I received in one of the leagues I play in? I get: Sam Bradford and Marshawn Lynch and I give up: Cam Newton and Andre Roberts.
Keep in mind that my RB stable is thin with Arian Foster and then Darren Sproles and Vick Ballard. I have Ponder and Eli at QB still and I don’t need Roberts with James Jones, Demaryius Thomas, Antonio Brown and Dwayne Bowe rounding out my receiving corps. I would just ride out Ponder in my QB2 slot and have Sproles as my third RB instead of my second, which is fucking killing me so far. Andre Roberts will probably never be in my lineup anyways so I look at it as getting Bradford and Lynch for just Newton.

Hey- nice win for you. Tamme sucked and Gates went off for a pair of TD’s…

My knee-jerk was to think the deal was solid enough esp if the Rams rookie wideouts continue to emerge.
But an ESPN.com fantasy article just pointed out five brutal upcoming matchups for SEA.
So I suppose its back to square-one and your current tolerance level w/Cam…

ESPN doesn’t know shit. None of their wizards ever have the right answers. That’s what I’m hoping because I already accepted it. At this point I think Newton and Ponder are about an even play, although Newton’s upside is clearly much better. I’d rather have a guy that gets me a solid number each week than a guy who goes for 28 pts one week and then 5.6 the next.
The thing about Lynch is that regardless of who they’re playing, the offense is going to run straight through him. He had a great game last year against the Niners and I don’t expect a whole lot less from him on Thursday. He’s just one of those guys who’s basically always going to get 20+ touches each week.
Besides, I can’t handle Sproles in my lineup anymore at all. It’s a PPR league, so I thought he’d make up for the lack of carries with a lot of receptions, but he just doesn’t look very involved in the offense at all. With this trade I still have him on my bench for Lynch and Foster’s bye weeks.
Obviously, my biggest concern is that Newton will blow the fuck up and Ponder will tail off. I’m not entirely sold on Ponder, but he looks consistent if not spectacular. But I wasn’t too sold on Newton when he came out of Auburn.
Coming out of college, Newton didn’t appear to me to be the type of guy who is going to study hard in the film room and with the playbook and really absorb all the nuances of the position. I just wonder about a guy who was so stupid that he got caught cheating on tests at Florida several times AND was caught stealing shit out of dorms or something like that, and got kicked out of school. I wonder about his work ethic in that respect, and I also wondered back then about his leadership skills. The cheating/stealing behavior seems more like “follower” behavior than leader behavior.
And I think we’re watching that play out right now. He has trouble reading defenses, I don’t think his grasp of the offense is all that great at all and they certainly keep his reads simple. I don’t even think they ask him to read the coverage pre-snap; I think they just ask him to go to the line with a certain set of plays and he just makes progression reads. It’s why he doesn’t see wide open guys and makes poor throws into coverage. He goes through one read, doesn’t have the wherewithal to recognize when maybe the third option is open, gets to the next read and forces it into coverage because he lacks patience in the pocket to progress through more than 1 or 2 reads. I’m not even sure that they ask him to make more than 1 or 2 reads.
So I thinkI’m going to go with my initial judgment on Newton, if only because it looks like I might be right about him and that at least helps me sleep at night about this whole transaction.
I just offered some dipshit who dropped Andre Johnson for Jon Baldwin a trade that hopefully he’s dumb enough to fall for. I give him Bradford and Vick Ballard for Andrew Luck. He’s totally fucked at RB since he has DeMarco Murray, Benson and ben tate. I’m hoping he’s desperate enough since he also has Brady and Roethlisberger at QB.

to be honest, Gates was due. He’s been sucking but I had a good feeling going in. Anybody want Gates in a tradey trade? I have Gronk.
