well when Dallas wins and Terry drops 20 points in Brons face during the 4th quarter you’re going to have to eat those words!!!
Dallas is lucky it isn’t 3-0 MIA
miami’s lucky it isnt 2-1 Dallas
Ha, they got lucky in game 2 and haven’t looked good all series.
The pro Miami propaganda is insane.
I would say the exact same thing about Dallas with people in this thread.

If they go up 3-1 are you planning on giving MIA credit at any point?
If the Mavs hit their open shots and beat Miami handily will you give Dallas any credit?
I did immediately after game 2 check the thread. They played great in that last 5min of the 4th quarter.
Saying they’re “lucky” they’re not down 0-3 doesn’t really sound like you’re giving them credit.

I seriously hope you’re joking. EVERYTHING James does is overblown to the point of absurdity. He throws a behind the back pass and “He’s as good a passer as Magic!!!” or gets one dunk and “He’s like Mike, maybe better!!!”. He’s having a medoicre series [by his standards] and he’s being called out for it, and rightfully so. And, Overstand is right. He’s been playing good D on shorter players with shakey jumpers by sagging off and forcing them to shoot, or in Terry’s case denying him the ball. When he plays against guys roughly his size with solid offensive games, he looks just average. The pro LeBron James hype train is unlike anything the sports world has ever seen, and it’s ridiculous.
hmmm, but why leave out Pierce? Iguodala? Those were matchups in this same title run.

Not joking at all WF - if anything, James might be even be underrated right now (think on that)

They played well in the last 6min of game 2. You said yourself they haven’t played well. What else do they deserve credit for?

I never said he was a bad player, he is #1 in the league and his athleticism is 1 in a billion. I just can’t stand how ‘eager’ the media is to annoint him the next MJ (or better than MJ…). They want a new golden boy so bad they will overrate him till they are blue in the face.
What media have you been listening/watching? James has been the most hated man in america (by the media and public) since the decision. Just yesterday a guy on espn radio call him a glue guy…a fucking glue guy, he is the best basketball player in the world.
I’m pretty sure that was said tongue-in-cheek. Also, you have got to be kidding me. Do you watch ESPN? EVERYTHING they do that has anything to do with basketball starts and ends with how great James is. He’s still loved, just not as loved as he was before “the decision”.
No I don’t watch ESPN outside of PTI. I listen to espn radio and read espn.com. Maybe that is your guys problem on tv they can not be nearly as harsh and are much more pc as it get many younger viewers. Get involved in sports radio and read an article or two youll love it cause about 80% of them hate james just as much as you do.

Wilbon, Buchard, Reily, Van Pelt, and Bill simmons are just a few people that are so biased against james its absurd. 9 people in the media left him off the mvp ballot give me a break.

And both those guys did fairly well. Haha, I have thought on it, and he’s still overrated.

I do occasionally listen to sports radio, and read sports articles. There are more pro-James supporters than detractors by a wide margin. Not really sure how you don’t notice this. And, all of the bad press he’s been recieving is 100% deserved. Wade caught flak for not playing well against Chicago. It happens. When you leave your home town team publicly, go to a star studded team and declare that you’ll win 7+ championships before ever actually playing a game together, have a mediocre Finals, declare that you can’t be stopped 1-on-1 then have your worst game of the series, you should be scolded [for lack of a better term].

Maybe we are both having selective hearing lol I think what it comes down to is he drives ratings love him or hate him and the media plays on that and pushes very pro lebron or very anti lebron. We get our media from different sources so ill chalk it up to that.

And that’s really what I was getting at: who even cares about the popular perception and sentiment amongst the masses?? why even fault the media for having to fill up 24/7 programming schedules by saying the same stuff??

Just go by what you see.

And for me, its looking very uphill for DAL, just a bad matchup for their offense. MIA is weak down low, NOT on the perimeter. (guys like Z Randolph, Bynum, pre-2011-Gasol would have good series vs current MIA lineup)

And defensively, James has been dominant.

OMFG!!!

During the pre game they were showing wade/james top 5 highlights. They showed Wades play (which was number 2 on the list but a waaaaay better play than number one) and said it was “one of the best moves in NBA history”

Then they show a dunk by LBJ and said it was “one of the best dunks in finals history.”

ARGGGGHHH!!!

(Wades splitting the double team twice for the lay up was a sick play. LBJ’s dunk wasnt anything special from any other dunk in traffic)

Bottom line, in 3 games MIA has scored a total of 8 points more than DAL with 1 more home game. Very even series. Mavs need tonight so I’m taking them -2.5 and NOT LOOKING BACK!!

Dirk is so automatic it’s comical

Was gonna bring this up. Anyone who doesn’t realize how much the media as a whole sucks James [and Miami’s] dick is fucking blind.

Jason Kidd has 3 of the most ridiculous turnovers I’ve ever seen so far. Remember what I said about him throwing the series… Those to’s have NOTHING to do with being older or a step slow. If anything, being older means he’s smarter than to make those errors. They also said Barrea is shooting 22% from the field this series. If Dallas gives up another offensive board I’m gonna lose my mind.

Kidd a turn over machine! fml!

A. what the hell Kidd? Turnover machine.

B. Looks like Terry has found his shot… we’ll see how that plays out when Brons on him.

C. Dallas cant get a defensive rebound to save its life. Over half of MIA’s points are second chance points.

Another disgusting flop by Lebron. Its so easy to hate these guys

How the fuck are you gonna call a tech on the home teams coach in the Finals, especially considering it was directed at such a blatant flop? And how many WIDE OPEN layups can Barrea miss?

Basketball players or soccer players? Fucking floppers on both teams…

Barrea missed ANOTHER layup. I don’t even understand how that happens.

LOL, he must have heard you and blew the last one on purpose.
