I never really liked LeBron (outside of his rookie year maybe?) I always thought that he had everything handed too him and that he was the self appointed “King” without ever really doing anything. I would hear announcers talk about how great he was and would think that his offensive game was very one dimensional (put your head down, barrel into the lane and either get a layup or a foul call, occasionally a jumper)
I definitely hated the douche move he pulled in the way he left Cleveland (not that he left, just the way he held the decision. Seemed like he thought he was too good to announce it on regular tv like bosh/wade did in their announcement) I vehemently rooted against LeBron (and I still do) because I don’t want him taking “the easy route” and having it actually pay off in the first year but…
I really have watched a lot of heat games and I can say that LeBron has definitely stepped up his game to a whole new level. He is shooting much better, his D has gotten even better and he has shown that he can close out games much better as well (excluding last night of course) I can honestly say that I’m actually starting to like LeBron now. Maybe it’s because he’s actually opened up a little and admitted that he made mistakes this past offseason?
Maybe it’s because he seems more like a humble guy who genuinely just wants to win and not “brand himself”? I’m not sure what it is but I definitely appreciate his game a lot more now.
Do I want them to win a ring this year? Hell-motherfuckin-No I don’t! lol… But would I mind seeing them get one or two within the next couple seasons? Nope (as long as it’s not against the Lakers). I always liked Wade and Im not so dumb/blinded by hate as think that they won’t/can’t win any rings… I just hope it’s not this year :)
Glad you’re coming around man. Pretty much the main reason I pull for Lebron is I feel so much of the hate is unfounded. Everybody is in agreement that “the decision” was in bad taste but no one in their right mind can blame him for going to Miami. Does he have an ego? Sure what NBA star doesn’t. I always thought he played the game the right way, he is a great distrubutor never really cared about points(wasnt a volume scorer) and is a team guy. I mean people acted like he raped and murdered his own mother when he left clevland for christ sake.

His “king” title wasn’t self appointed, it was given to him in High school. Probably because he went to a religious high school - ya know the King James Bible.
So a blasphemous nickname is supposed to he better than a self appointed one? Why didn’t thwy just nickname him The Basketball Jesus?

And I can’t stand the offense(or lack of) the Heat was running. James brings it up, dribbles at the top of the key for 10 seconds runs the clock is down and shoots fade away 3’s. WTF is that?
That’s LeBrons old go-to move man!!! It’s been said over and over that he is so ball dominant (or was) It looked like he had fixed that problem during the middle of the season when they got on a roll but it seems like he’s gone back to it more and more in these playoffs. It’s actually worked out pretty well for Mia so far in these playoffs… Just not last night.
When it works it’s “oh LeBron is closing out these games. He’s taking over at the end!”
When it doesn’t work it’s “what the hell LeBron!?!” lol
Yeah , sure it works when he’s on fire. When you can’t miss, it’s just fine. But that wasn’t the case in the 4th quarter. Did you see what happened when he actually came off a screen? Layup. He blew it but still I’d rather see that then a fade away , leaning to the side 3 pointer.
He had to do that shit in Cleveland because his supporting cast sucked. Different story now.

Naming yourself after a King is blasphemous? If that’s blasphemous what about all those Mexicans named Jesus?

What do you guys think of the narrative coming out about Wade’s taunting being the difference in the Mavs’ demeanor? They are saying when he hit that 3 to put MIA up 15, he stood in front of the bench well after the TV cut to commercial, then him and LBJ celebrated right next to DAL bench near midcourt.
On one hand, you should never need “extra” motivation in an NBA finals game. On the other, anyone who’s played competitive sports knows that kind of thing pisses you off.
It was blown out of proportion. Did you see the post game interview with Lebron and Wade. They brought it up 3 times. It was bad move but not as much of a factor IMO as the rest of the bullshit mistakes they made on court. The media sure loves it though.

It’s Jesus (hey-zues) not Jesus (Jesus)… Big diff!
(I edited the post you quoted for moar lulz but not before you quoted it I guess)

I was mind blown when Carlisle took out CHANDLER and replaced with KIDD to play small in the 4th.
Anyway, I’ll take a win with 20 turnovers. What amazes me was how many EASY OPEN shots Dallas missed. Still we dropped 48% on FG…
Dude, I totally forgot about that. Going small totally shocked me at the time as well. It’s sorta defensible because they needed offense and DAL doesn’t have a true center who can hurt you, but Chandler was playing well and you can’t make a run unless you stop your opponent. It was ballsy though and I generally like Carlisle so I trusted it.

Yeah that was a crazy move and didn’t last very long. Kidd was guarding Bosh and Bosh still didn’t post the little fucker up. Hell even Wade posted up Kidd when he had he chance and score on him. Though I think when Bosh easily grabbed that rebound for a dunk, Carlisle knew that lineup was a mistake.

My “lover Kobe”?? Someones still mad about last night
lol
You’re right, he was drafted by Charlotte but he told them he wouldn’t play for them. This was of course before he sexually assaulted an innocent girl and later demanded a trade, rescinded the demand, and re-demanded to have his way. Somewhere in there he forced the best center in the league off his team as well.
…yeah I’m bored at work and trying to provoke WhiteFlash, why do you ask?
