2011 NBA Playoffs

Someone please tell me how the Heat are going to stop Dirk Nowitzki. Someone PLEASE give me a guarantee Nowitzki will not score 50 on Miami every single night they play.

Someone…anyone…

Going to be a great series. I’m not convinced by the Heat just yet. PHI with a star player who is more of a #2 star, barely scraping through against an injury riddled and out-of-form Boston, and beating a Bulls team that beat itself.

Not going to shit on them though, they are a great defensive team.

As a Mavs fan my only real worries are getting Chandler and Terry into foul trouble with LBJ and Wade driving in to the basket and receiving more free throws than necessary. That would kill our inside game and much of our mid to long range offense. Some questionable offense leading to easy unforced turnovers is up there. We have a good bench that can contain Lebron and Bosh. Dirk appears to be in another dimension right now. Mav’s aren’t the Bulls so even if you shut down Dirk we have plenty of fire power from long range.

I’m really interested to see how Marion stacks up to LBJ this time around and how Stevenson goes off the bench on him (from what I recall he was shitting all over Lebron on the defensive). I want to see if they can contain Wade, but seeing as Harden was getting in easily I doubt Wade will have too much trouble.

But then to round it all off, we are missing Caron Butler unlike the regular season games…

Am I worried? Not a great deal right now. That may change after game one.

I just hope Dallas pulls this off. I’ve been getting shit all day from my Lebron fan boy friends who are acting like the Heat already have the ring. Mavs hunger to beat the Heat in 7.

Are you dense??? Are you high??? You MUST be high!!!

15/22 experts pick the Heat - But to be fair these were the same clowns who predicted the LAL over the Mavs. Not a single “expert” picked the Mavs that series.

:frowning:

Wait, so that illustration is supposed to expatiate Miami? If anything that illustration is giving an edge to the Mavs – Jon Barry picks the Mavericks and Wilbon picks the Heat, which means the Mavs will win.

And you’re dead on, most sports journalists are clowns… except Hollinger of course (cough scj cough) lol.

He means it as a compliment raj. He’s just highlighting your unbridled passion for the team you support.

Not at all, I just think expert picks are interesting to look at.

If you look at the T-Nation picks Dallas has a slight edge :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha, actually I think I’m getting it because I’m cheering for a team everyone basically hates.

Heat in 7

IMO, it’s nearly a coin flip and the Heat have homecourt advantage. Two contrasting styles. MIA’s aggressive help D will have to be very conscious of not leaving too much room for Dallas’s shooters. On the flip side, DAL will have to pack in their zone D, coax Wade/LBJ into taking 3s and take away the paint.

Do NOT underestimate how much the DAL players an especially fans still hate the Heat because of 2006.

There has been so much less emotional arguing since he left.

Haha “ARE YOU DENSE?!!”

LA can be pretty tough, esp if you’re trying to get into whatever current spot celebrities are trying to be seen at. And the standard rules apply: you better have AT LEAST one girl for every dude and you still may be on the hook for bottle(s) anyway

Sounds like it’s the same shit everywhere you go, at least as long as you’re going somewhere trendy. That shit’s for the birds.
F that shit, DC 4 lyfe
I heard DC is Hollywood for ugly people.

it’s LBJ’s year, he has been taking over games in the end and willing his team to victory every night. that was the only thing missing in james’ game.

What’d I say about the Heat when they first formed mwuhahahahhahahahaha, it’s less satisfying knowing good Ol’ Randman is gone though.

huh? LBJ never " took over games" and “willed his team to victory” when he was in Cleveland?

lol

speaking of Randman (not you Raj. the original Randman)… do you think he still lurks this thread?

Well Dirk hasn’t scored 50 this playoffs, and Miami has the best team D Dallas will play this year.
Good luck to Dallas trying to stop Lebron with Marion.
It’ll be a fun series. My money is on Miami in 6 but I wish I could change it to 7.

Let’s find out. If he is lurking this will bring him out from the shadows

Well in Cleveland he never won the big game, struggled in elimitaion games and for the heat he did not do so well during the regular season in finishing games. He is now this year winning the big games and making big shots consistantly

No way in hell. He is not capable of reading something he disagrees with and not responding
