2011 NBA Playoffs

So, a bit off topic here… but I’m the biggest fucking idiot in the world. I hurt my lower back squatting tues, called off the exercise (smart)… then fucking DEADLIFTED for like 9 sets afterwards. I’ve missed 2 days of work laying in bed and it hurts just being semi-upright in a sofa right now to watch basketball.

I just wanted to vent. I’ve literally never been so angry with myself. Even when I forgot to hedge on Dallas when OKC took a game on the road (I had OKC at 10-to-1 odds to win the western conference, all I had to do was hedge with a small bet on DAL to win the series at that point, but I got cocky.)

Being cocky has hurt me physically, financially, and probably emotionally within the same week.

If God isn’t a total dick, CHI will win tonight.

Rose swatation!

I wouldn’t rely on that guy, he’s a pretty big douche most of the time.

CHI is playing pretty good this game…

Chi tonight. I got dinner riding on it.

CHI doesn’t have a shot in hell in beating the Heat in Miami. But I guess it’s a nice pride thing to not let a team eliminate you on your home court.

I’d love for them to win, but it’s worth pointing out they’ve been playing MIA well through the first 40 minutes.

It’s once LBJ guards Rose full-time in crunch time that they shut down entirely.

I think the difference is that tonight, like game 1, Miami has no offense. It’s not like Chicago is on some torrid pace to hit 105+ or something, they’re having a pretty typical offensive game for this series. Meanwhile Miami looks like they may not break 80.

Kinda worries me that Wade might carry his ECF performance into the Finals…

Haha, neither team may break 80

Ya he’s been playing pretty bad all series, CHI is definitely the best team in the league at denying the paint though and that has always been Wade’s game(Lebron’s too, but he’s big/strong enough to force it a bit more and is more prone to hot streaks shooting I feel).

Gotta love that fake eye poke to draw the foul on Rose by Lebron. I lol’ed. Bosh is pretty good at it too:

Do you foam roll? If not you should get on it.

I hate that shit. I understand it’s become a part of the game, but when outcomes of games are being [at least partially] decided on someone faking a hit there’s a problem.

I’ve tried it and didn’t like it. Actually I’ve been stretching more lately, which allowed me to get lower on squats and that’s actually what fucked up my form, not used to being below parallel.

Deadlifting after is what fucked me I’m pretty sure. I was stretching my back out between sets as it was tight. sigh

dude. I feel you. I think I slipped one of my discs today. I’m living on Ibuprofen and ice packs. I am so pissed myself, life sucks right now and this pain sucks. Sitting and laying down feels unbearable sometimes… the good news is I’m seeing a chiro on Sat.

^^^Man, I know it’s a pain in the ass but I can’t recommend foam rolling and/or mobility work enough.

Rose picks up his 5th fouling Wade on a made 3, ouch. Miami out of nowhere is in position to steal this game away…

Wade just hit a 3 and got fouled. Chicago is blowing this.
