I thought this was funny.

I watched a video on nfl.com of AP watching film. His coaches show him his own film first, this is what you are doing. Then they show him chris johnson’s film. This is what you should be doing. And obviously you cant coach lightening quickness but they were saying cj sets up his runs better with his first two steps. He also doesnt fumble.
I like AP better because he is more physical but, as of right now, chris johnson is the better back. Maybe that will change given that cj is small and ap seems like kind of a hard worker. AP is also much better looking.
I’m hoping to see the Pack (or MN w/ Favre) take the NFC and the Superbowl… Maybe the Ravens in the AFC
brett favre sent me cock shots
Not good for the legacy given that people are already a little tired of you.

Regarding the fumbling- on SportsCenter the other day Scott Van Pelt mentioned he was focusing on grip strength this off season and his handshake utterly crushing.
AP is an absolute monster, the stiff arm against Cleveland was ridiculous. Can not wait for the season to start!

his crushing handshake has been his trademark since before coming into the league. But aside from that I know they’ve been working on his carrying technique.
he is a savage runner though no doubt. I remember him straight arming a db and then planting a foot in his chest as he literally ran over him.
^That DB was William Gay of the Steelers and yeah he did get steamrolled but to Gay’s credit he didn’t stop trying to tackle him.
Troy will not slow down, he doesen’t know how and it will cut his career short…maybe. Too bad cause he is so exiting to watch play. Every game you just know he’s going to do something special. He’s lucky he’s got Ryan Clark to cover for him when he’s going on his own to make a play too. Perfect team and system for Troy.
The Bengals #93 looked good out there lastnight. 6’6" linbacker?

Michael Johnson, he had some serius concerns with taking plays off etc coming out of Georgia Tech. Has a large upside, but reaching it will be the question.
Dallas has a TON of depth. Preaseason games is all that is good for gauging. I am worried about our kicking game.
Anyone know whats up with Cushing? I keep hearing on SportsCenter about how they (Texans) are going to appeal his suspension.
Just that the owner is appealing on behalf of Cushing. Slim chance since the rules are the rules in regards to positive testing.

Oh alright. I gotta say, as much as I enjoy watching Cush play, I’m glad he will be out against the Cowboys.

You and me both. However my Father in law is a big Texans fan. Since we live in Houston he is at my house every Sunday to watch games. That will be a fun day.

This.
Troy only knows one speed. We won’t know whether or not he’s lost a step until the regular season begins though. I doubt he will see much time in the preseason.

He will not lose a step but he plays a position that calls for a short career. No longer are their guys at his position that last for 10+ years. Due to the passing game Strong and Free safety position has changed. Now they are typically smaller faster guys who when they do have to hit have greater forces of impact due to there space on the field. Thus greater chance for injury, now that Troy has been hurt, he will keep getting hurt. Ed Reed and Bob Sanders are great examples.

All great points, I just would like to add that Troy is a pretty large guy for the style he plays, its gotta take a toll on his body

Three Sunday night games and two Monday night games. Yep, the leauge does pander to the mighty Black and Gold. I’m biased but I don’t blame them…$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Folks love to watch the Steelers play, simple as that.
They seem to screw the pooch with Oakland and I could see them falling asleep with another team or two, maybe Carolina. All in all they could get ten wins with some luck and health. Then again that’s what every team is saying right now lol.
They have got to get their special teams in order. That unit cost them a couple of wins last year.
Alot of people point out that losing Troy for the season last year was a big reason the defence couldn’t get off the field but I think losing Aaron Smith was fucking huge.
Rex Ryan is a breath of fresh air for sure but I bet some of his players are wishing he would stop fucking promising wins and titles.
I think what Haynesworth is doing is hysterical. Fuck you Shanny! lol. Who’s going to blink first? I think management will. One small injury to another lineman and he’s right in there like a dirty shirt sans test.
DJHT…Pitt picked up F.Adams a few weeks ago. What do you expect him to do for the OL. The team saw something but I wanted to hear a fans perspective on this guy.
Adams is good against people like Strahan that build, small speedy guys like Dumervil not that good. He has lost a step, running game he is solid. He is deaf 100% legally deaf in his right ear, so in loud stadiums will have frustrating false starts. He will protect your QB no matter what it takes, legal or illegal.
And sorry man I do not think Steelers can beat Atlanta with no Big Ben on that first game. Looking at 1-4 with Ben out. After that who knows.
The STILLERS are moving Adams to the right side, I guess in an attempt to neutralize his deafness. And I am really liking the new offensive line coach, his philosphy is brute force over finese.
SB pick: Bengals or the Colts vs. Giants or Packers
Obviously it’s subject to change, but for all those Laurence Maroney lovers out there, he was the third RB on the depth chart when it was released today, with Fred Taylor and Sammy Morris in front of him (and the Pats don’t usually do the depth chart motivation thing).

Me too man, I thought that would be addressed after how last season went kicking wise. That miss against the Saints scared the hell out of me. Buehler didn’t look terrible last night, still one of my main concerns for the Boys this year.
Found this article on espn. The Jets owner doesn’t seem to think that Revis will play-

Yea your kicker looked terrible, there has to be someone better out there, somewhere.
It would be surprising if Revis didn’t play, but I think the Jets saw it coming, and made sure to draft a great corner (Wilson) and also pick up another one (Cromartie). As good is he is, I think they can survive without him. It would be a shame though if he actually sat out, he’s exciting and entertaining and needs to be on the field.
The fact that so many players are whining while they are under contracts that they signed is really starting to bug me. They signed a contract, play it out, then get your money. I know there are some players that are signed to ridiculous contracts and then explode and deserve extra money, but it is starting to get out of hand.
Completely agree with you WC. The whining these guys do while making millions of dollars a season is just completely ridiculous. I think it really got out of hand for professional athletes in 2004 when Latrell Sprewell turned down his 3 year/$21 million contract offer saying “I have a family to feed” as to why he turned it down.
