2010 NFL Thread

Daily NFL thoughts:

-Andre Johnson gets it done on the field and keeps his mouth shut off of it, and look at what he gets
-Broncos are dropping like flies, and should chalk up this year as a rebuilding one, towards their future of Tebow
-Revis should get paid, Merriman should not
-Washington is a mess, always. I want McNabb to tear it up, but I hate Haynesworth and think he’ll just be a cancer for that team throughout the season

-I cannot wait for the HOF game this weekend, TO+Ochocinco should be entertaining all year, but I will be rooting for the Bengals because of Mike Zimmer.

How the fuck does rex ryan get lap band surgery and only lose 20 lbs.

Being a jet fan I cant wait for hard knocks this year.

Fuck Brett Favre

Giants will surprise with an 11 win season

Ronnie Brown will get hurt again

TO and Johnson will be a great combo

Arizona even with all the losses will still win the division

Laurence Maroney will gain 1300yds and 12 tds in a breakout year

Thomas Jones will feel the effects of shitty O line in KC

JETS 31 COWBOYS 27 SUPERBOWLLLLLLL

^I love you.

Ditto

Gotta L.O.V.E. Rex!!!

Do you really think Washington is that much of a mess? Haynesworth will be a problem, no doubt, but I think Shannahan has this team going in the right direction. Not sure what that means win-wise but I think we’re on the up now that Snyder is chilling out a bit…

Shonn Greene, remember the name.

It is going to be sweet, sweet year for the Packers.

Whether Brett Favre comes back or not is irrelevant… The Packers are now in their second season in the 3-4 scheme under Dom Capers, and that’s after finishing with the #2 ranked defense in the league last year. Most people want to call out that ridiculous Arizona playoff game last year, which was heinous. The Packers utterly cleaned house in the week prior, with both teams playing all starters.

Now that the Packers’ offensive line has a little more experience and Mark Tauscher is back and healthy, Aaron Rodgers will have much more time to disperse the ball or flourish through his extremely underrated sense of scrambling.

The ONLY two problems I can see right now with the Packers are how healthy Al Harris is going to be towards the beginning of the season, and of course that piece of shit Notre Dame alumni in the backfield… Ryan Grant (the typical “I’ll play hard when I feel like it” player.)

The Vikings will be okay with Brett, but he’s never going to be as successful as he was last year. The Cowboys are pretty good, but Romo isn’t a champion. The Eagles will be a contender, but again, there are question marks associated with Kevin Kolb.

Go Pack Go.

Going to take him at least 2 years to get the O-Line running his scheme, and get a running back (young). Portis is damaged. Who is McNabb throwing to? There D is great, but Shannahan is just patching things up until he gets his Offense right. I predict McNabb will not finish his career in Washington. Probably a Viking. Shannahan will draft his future QB this year and he will set behind McNabb next year and then take over the next. My 2 cents.

Haha. The running back situation is very interesting but should prove stable enough at least for the season. I completely agree with your receiver assessment. We don’t have any. However, like I said, I think we are on the up. Not SB contenders for sure but we’ll go better than 4-12. I’m still worried about all the drama with all the big heads in the locker room though.

It’s a rebuilding decade!

Man Dallas between 98 and 2005 was a long 7 years I understand. I agree better than 4-12. Our division is tough just dont know where they will fall. I dont think Philly will do much this year, Kolb has to prove himself. As good as Aaron Rogers is his first year he did not do all that great. So Redskins may grab that third spot. Dont know about the Giants yet, Probably up to if their D shows up this year or not.

lol. I think he had already lost like 65.

I’m rooting for T.Ochocinco. I think they make the playoffs.

How would you like to be Palmer, he will have to be bitch slapping them to shut up half the time.

In the meantime I’ll just keep doing deadlifts.

Maroney impressed me with his second half last year, He had some good games and scored a bunch of times

I think you will see Derek Anderson shine for the Cardinals, and Steve Breaston become better than boldin. I love Beanie…and their line got better with the signing of Faneca. Leinart will be benched by week 3.

Really? I heard he lost a bet with Kris Jenkins and Damien Woodly who lost more weight than him w/o the surgery

I can agree with the Anderson thing, just dont know if he can gel and put it together in time to take the division. Will be fun to watch. Leinart will be a career back up. I guess I didnt watch enough of Maroney, he just has never impressed me. Beanie will have a breakout year.

In the meantime I’ll just keep doing deadlifts.

Haynesworth is a disgrace.
I’d punch him in his face if he wasn’t so fucking big. I supported him coming here originally (not at the $$$,$$$,$$$.$$ they gave him obviously) but now I hope he has a career ending injury as he doesn’t deserve better.
Damn, Nate. That’s kind of cold.

SuperBowl Predictions: Bengals vs Saints
Wol what the fuck are you smoking? The Bengals, T.O. will implode that team with Chad Johnson (I am married to a mexican so I am not calling him eight five). Hard to repeat for the Saints, nobody has done that in 7 years.
Stranger things have happened. I’m not even going off of logic. Only one team I’ve believed in have done their job: The Steelers. Everyone else comes up short.

Bengals and Saints FTW.
