Well said, Pittsburgh has had their share of pinheads over the years. I remember everybody and his brother laughing about how the Steelers were letting pro bowlers go left and right. It started (I think anyways) with Leon Searcy going to the Jags, they brought him along slowly, then he became a pro bowler and left after his rookie contract expired, thanks for the training Pittsburgh lol. It’s about money and I don’t hold a grudge at all, he was good and it sucked he left. Then Chad Brown did the same thing, Yancy Thigpen etc, it was bad for quit a few years.

Could be my homer imagination but they seem to hold onto guys longer now, maybe the salary cap helped, who knows.

Well, if you remember, when Chad Brown left, Greg Lloyd was supposed to be coming back from an injury that year. As we know, Lloyd wasn’t the same player when he returned, so that was a pretty big screwup, but at least we know why. When Lloyd was healthy, Brown had been one of the starting ILBs, but then Lloyd got hurt and Brown had a monster year at OLB in his absence.

OK, quick question: which starting LB corps would you rather have?

Greg Lloyd, Kevin Greene, Levon Kirkland, and Chad Brown

  • OR -

James Harrison, Lamarr Woodley, James Farrior, and Lawrence Timmons

THAT is a tough question to answer. I think if Farrior was still in his prime I would go with his group, but since he is nearing the end I have to go with the first group.

Jeff garcia looking good on the nighthawks! Maurice Clarett…0 carries what a waste

You never know now with the QB changing that is going on. Okay WC two games and Smith looked like shit in the first and had some what of a comeback in the second. Where you stand?

What’s w/all the Jets bashing. We’re only 2 games in to the season. If I remember correctly the team to beat in that division are the Patsy’s. We did that. Every team has a few bad seeds. Leaders will step up. B. Scott, J. Taylor, LT, Revis. These guys will step up and take charge. Lets see what happens tomorrow night before wee all start chanting the Jets are full of hot air.

Smith is a below average QB, doesn’t have the leadership and doesn’t have the accuracy, and that’s what you need to be a great QB in the NFL. He’s a smart kid, and a good person, but that doesn’t cut it. I think he’d be a great backup.

I want to move on from the Smith era, and we have to good of a team to draft a QB, so either getting Kolb or signing a good developed FA this summer should be our next move.

Are the 'Boys going to start running the ball this week? They have the most pass attempts in the league, who do they think they are? The Saints? Come on, they have three awesome backs, run the ball!

I just think the management is being very contradictory. Throughout Hard Knocks you can see how loose they are with the players, which is totally fine with me if that’s how they want to run their ship. But they can’t go and get mad when some of the players get in trouble or start straying from the path when they’ve created a culture that somewhat supports that.

Choose a style and stick to your guns. They have a great team and should do very well if they can get their heads on straight.

Well I think they need balance, however the Texans D have given up the most passing yards in the NFL. So I just have a feeling that this is going to be a track meet high scoring from both teams and Dallas is desperate so they will pull this one out. But everyone will still be asking what is wrong with the Cowboys.

^I still think they’re running it loose. They’re allowing Edwards to play tomorrow night. If Rex wanted to lay the wood he would sit Edwards, Gholston, & Ferguson. So, you lose a game?! You also let YOUR team know who the sheriff is. Think that might tighten the boys up a bit?

[quote]print wrote:

Because they have the most dominant team right now, and Rex drew the largest bullseye I’ve even seen on the team’s back in Hard Knocks…

In short, it is fun.

No need to worry, they are going to kick ass this year, our shit talk aside. lol.

^ It would but he won’t. Jets will probably fine them but that is it. Rex has thrown his hat in the ring for the SB and he would bring in a mass murderer if it would get him to Dallas. Just my opinion, but this team never struck me as wanting character guys.

If this is how he wants to run the team that is fine, he just has to realize that there is going to be a higher probability of issues and off the field antics.

If it produces wins though, who cares? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Lesean McCoy or Chris Johnson, who would you start this week on your fantasy team?

Nah print, Im not shitting on them…your right theres bad seeds on all teams, I was listening to ESPN radio the other day…and as a Jet fan lately in NY we have been beat over the head with how classy the Giants are and what a mess the jets are…when in actuality theres been a ton more giants arrested over the past 10 years than Jets.

Also WTF is up with each week either the Jets or the Giants game is at night, I like my 1 and 4 jets and giants game and then unwind with an out of town matchup at night…jets and jints dont play both afternoon games until OCTOBER 17th!

oh and I believe Sanchez will shine again…and Henne will be the QB who will have to be a “game manager” for their team to be successfull

Jets 24 Mia 13
