2010 NFL Thread

Pretty funny quote by the Bills coach this morning:

“I know everybody’s got opinions on what’s right, and we feel like having the three we’ve got right now is a very good situation for us,” Gailey said. “I know that Green Bay wishes they had one more than they had.”

I for one dont think vick paid his dues enough…I hope he tears his ACL and never plays in the NFL again…but not to stray…while it is the medias job to stir the pot the haynesworth addition would certainly peak my interest as a Jet fan, but trades in the NFL are very rare in season, so I doubt it will happen.

As a Jet fan, I go into this game very pessimistic (surprise). I believe Moss will be contained somewhat but not shut out, Its fucking Welker thats gonna give us fits. The pats running game doesent scare me I have a lot of faith in the truly underrated Mike Devito who has been on the Jets for a long time and has a penchant for making plays. Its the little screen passes to Faulk, Welker and a surprise hit to one of the PATS younf TEs that will spell our doom. Our offense has to keep up with the PATS…theres gonna be some scoring. I dont see the jets offense keeping up…0-2 but will be 2-2 at the 4 game mark.

Pats 27 Jets 17

Moss 3 catches 42yds 1 TD
Welker 7 catches 112 yds 2 TD

But what if Brady gets knocked the fuck out? Sorry just do not like that guy, I know I know I’m a hater but fuck it I would love to punch him in the face. If Jets watch game film from last years Baltimore and Pats playoff game and follow that game plan you just never know.
Your preaching to the choir bro…I just wanna punch him in his fucking suck hole as well!

I honestly think Belichick will have game planned something pretty nice for Moss, and believe that he could have a huge game. With all of Revis’s yapping, Moss will be beyond motivated and Belichick knows that. I bet the coach will pull out a little something extra to make sure his WR gets some.
Unfortunately I agree

I’m praying that this game is broadcast out here so I can watch it at home, on the 120 inch HD projector. Otherwise I’m going to have to get in the car and drive somewhere to watch this epic match up.

It’s a totally unrealistic possibility, but what would people think if the Jets brought in Jeff Garcia from the UFL? As a 49ers fan I love him, and know that he can still ball.

I cannot believe he is not in the NFL…I mean Matt Moore, Trent Edwards, Jake Dellhome, Josh Freeman even Derek Anderson…Puhhhlease this guy should be starting on one of these teams

The only game plan for Revis is Revis himself. Unless his hammie is whacked he will bottle up Moss. Do you really think that much has changed since last yr? Outside of miss training camp… which I admit is SORTA a big thing.

Who’s covering Welker? & will Brodney Pool be back? Questions that need to be answered before Sun.

Cause teams are always looking for the next Tom Brady (asshole) or Tony Romo. Both of these guys were either 6 rd draft pick or undrafted. Garcia had his shot and never got over the hump, just my opinon. But if you look at most teams in the NFL everyone is on this youth movement.

There’s got to be something going on behind the scenes, something that owners and coaches just don’t like about him, because he is a stud, wins games, and just plain gets it done. I agree with you Matty, I am completely confused as to why he isn’t playing over here.

I’d even love it if the 49ers signed him, RIGHT NOW.

^ THIS…you cant tell me at this point Garcia will not be better than Alex Smith

DJHT…I here you…but Matt Moore??? Jake Delhome??? TrenT Edwards??? These guys have proven to be nothing more than mediocrities

He is old WC sorry man but why bring in a guy that has a higher probablity to get hurt. As a guy approaching his 40’s I just do not recoup like I used to brother. This is what they are concerned about after listening to some experts talk about him recently.

Yes but Carolina, Buffalo, Browns are not Super Bowl ready, man all three of these teams are rebuilding (some for years). Only team that I could see bringing in Garcia would be like Philly cause Kolb’s concussion but they are going with Vick. Now the 49rs are they poised to make a Super Bowl run? I think they are a few years away. So better to just let the young guys get experience and rebuild.

Garcia is too brittle now, maybe he’s not the best guy to mentor a young guy either. We don’t know what he’s like behind the scenes. He might have been a great teamate in the past but who knows now… Just sayin’

Fuck I hope Pittsburgh contains Johnston this week. If any D can It’ll be Pittsburgh. Vince Young should be able to throw some seeing as the box will have a pile of guys duking it out all day, Tennesee has got the Steelers number at home though.

It’ll be interesting to see how Mendy does against their front four now that Haynsworth and VanDan Bosch are gone.

Good Point on all examples except the niners…in that shitty division, the niners could be a now team and a future team…9-7 could win that division, I believe Garcias leadership and QB abilities could help that team now as there is no young stud QB waiting in the wings

What you dont have faith in David Carr. Garcia could maybe help them win the division but he would get crushed in the playoffs. If I was Mike I would bring in Garcia, cut Smith and draft your future QB this year. Arizona has to be thinking the same thing though.

What are we doing wasting our times in GAL forums, we need to apply for fucking gm jobs!!!

I tell you what if I could turn back the clock I would be doing this. I would give my left nut to be a football scout, I have even looked into doing it as a retirement job. I just cant walk away from a 6 figure job with wife, kids, mortgage etc.

Once I sell my company, I’m going straight into the front office of an NFL team, done and done.

There were always rumors about him being gay, wonder if it’s an open secret in the league and higher-ups think it would be divisive? Just a thought
