If Leinart gets cut he will not be signed until after the first game, that way no team has to gurantee his contract for the year, veteran rules. So if nobody will trade for him I look for Arizona to cut him next Monday or Tuesday.

Okay I was a little off, I forgot the cut was Saturday by 5 when I wrote this, HOWEVER I was correct that he would be cut. I still do not think he will be signed until week two and Now I hear it could be by Houston of all places. WTF.

He just signed a one year deal with the Texans, very odd.

Jets fans happy to have Revis Island back?

^Thank God

My father in law is a huge Texans and UT fan. He is going to be a pissed off man about this, they pass over on Vince and end up with Leinart. HaHaHaHa, cant wait until Sunday when he comes over for the games. And I really never doubted Revis would sign before the first game.

Houshmandzadeh to the Ravens, how many receivers do they need now? They already got Boldin and Stallworth. No excuses for Flacco this year.

I knew Revis would sign. All that hold out and talk of sitting if he wasn’t the highest paid player for $11million more with an extra year? He would have been better off playing lights out again this season and then getting a monster deal next year… Now he’s missed all camp and jumps in 1 week before the first game… No way he’s game ready right now… Watch him get hurt in the first game or something. I like the Jets but fuck Revis and his gay ass Dicks Sporting Goods commercials… He had one stand out year so far and that’s it.

I don’t like primadona millionair athletes. I understand their bodies take a beating but if you sign a contract then you should honor it. Your word should mean something IMO

I completely agree with everything you said there, but I am really excited to see that Jets D play. With Revis they should be pretty stout all over the board, should make things interesting.

^^ yeah theyre gonna be really good again. I like the Jets and I’m a bug Rex Ryan fan so I hope they do well.

Don’t forget Mason, one of the most consistent WR’s in the game. They also have Heap plus the two rookie TE’s they picked up in the draft (not to mention the running game with Rice and McGahee). Yikes.

Good points. They also drafted Mount Cody out of Bama, he is a freak. Read an article that said he could dunk a basketball at 6’2" 330 in HS. He may take a while to develop into a high caliber NFL player, be he definitely has the potential.

And now Cody is 6’5" and weighs 350+. If the Ravens get their secondary back up to parr could be a good year for them.

One more day. Just want to take a moment to pray and say thank you Jesus for Football. Sorry get a little emotional.

Thanks same here I read your site from time to time. I also love that you are a fan of reading, with the younger generation I believe that reading is decreasing in importance.

I thought hanesworth was the crying one. Also is McNabb going to hobble out there and throw the ball 3 feet short to his receivers?

Haha. What are you doing- waiting on this page and refreshing every 2 minutes?! haha

For real, I’m actually real excited for this game. I shudder like watching Dallas play because that team has some insane artillery. But I am also wondering if they are going to get out of their “preseason slump” immediately or if they are going to have a few rocky games in the beginning. Obviously I am excited to see if the Skins can put anything together this year too.

I just took Ravens over the Jets
