seriously. Yeah I cant wait for the season to start. I’m more of a College Football fan but I do love the NFL… I’m about to be on football overload here shortly… My girlfriend is already dreading next week! ha

Its official…leinart a giant…the leinart era ends before it began in az and now he will begin to cement his legacy as a bust

^Where did you hear this? I was just listening to NFL radio and no mention of this.

^I hadn’t heard that either. But I did see where Sanchez went & saw his boyhood idol Justin Bieber…

Nah he was just pulling a SickAbs and trolling for young women.

Nope, it was on the 630 news in NYC at the very end. The sports cast said that the Jints will send out something official.

Nobody is going to trade for Leintart, the Cardinals are the ones who initiated the trade talk with the Giants, not the other way around. Once he gets cut, than he’ll generate some interest, but I think most teams are wary of signing a somewhat egotistical USC kid who doesn’t have the skills to cut it as a number one QB, but still believes in his mind that he does.

On another note, Vernon Davis took Crabtree aside and blasted him yesterday. Apparently Crabtree has been using his neck strain as an excuse to take it easy during training camp/practice. Most of the players had become fed up with the excuse, so Vernon (being the captain) pulled Crabtree aside and laid into, dropping a heavy payload of F bombs.

The fact that Crabtree is being skipping practice isn’t what interests me here, it’s that Singletary has turned Vernon Davis from a somewhat self centered possible first round bust, to a borderline elite team-leading tight end who has really developed leadership and his desire to lift up the entire team.

Singletary has been great thus far for the 49ers, and I think this year we will really get to see the effect that he has had on player personalties come to light.

Mike Singletary + Pat Willis = Equivalent Destruction of Japanese Godzilla

Giants up until this morning were the only team not to deny the interest in Leinart.

^That’s about the only place I can see him going. The biggest problem I have w/him is he is such a prima donna.
What do you think is going to happen when he gets under the Broadway lights? That cat is long gone… He’s going to be looking for a part in Joizy Boy’s.

I also find it laughable that Davis of all players is calling out other teammates.

HEY VERNON, the first three years of your career you totaled about 100 catches and 10 scores (HORRIBLE). Not to mention being a tremendous bitch. Lets see you put up elite stats for at least another year before you take it upon yourself to blast another primadonna. Those in glass houses…

If Leinart gets cut he will not be signed until after the first game, that way no team has to gurantee his contract for the year, veteran rules. So if nobody will trade for him I look for Arizona to cut him next Monday or Tuesday.

It is not laughable. Vernon Davis is a completely different player, and a completely different leader now. The rest of the team supported his actions against Crabtree, as they see Davis as one of the undisputed leaders of the team now.

I just hope Davis can provide Crabtree with some perspective, as Davis’s once huge ego has morphed into a desire to lead and dominate his position. Hopefully Crabtree can make this evolution also, as he has the skills to be a very high end WR.

Totally disagree, I dont take it seriously when a guy who has one good year is all of sudden deemed a leader. Let me see how much of a leader and selfless team guy he is when he has a bad game. Then he will prove his leadership, NOT when all is well in 49er land. Once again, this is the pot calling the kettle black.

^^ 49’rs are a young team, who is supposed to step up and lead? I have to agree with WC it takes a lot for a player to have gone through what he did and now be a leader. Who better than someone who was acting a fool and learned from it. Dont care if he had only one year of great numbers, that is one more than most and one more than Crabtree. I watched that kid since he started for Tech and he has always been great. But he has the potential to be a knuckle head and if Vernon can turn him all the better for the 49’rs.

^^^ If Im a player Im gonna take a player more seriously that has shown a track record of being a role model player, Ill take Frank Gore schooling me over Davis any day

Once he gets cut he will go to Seattle or Buffalo

Yes Matty but honestly you and I wouldnt need that type of dressing down, neither one of us are built or played as a WR (just my opinion looking at your pict). Crabtree will respond to Vernon and Gore has never shown to be a vocal guy as it is.
