I apologize for my absence, I know I have been sorely missed. I promise to make up for it this weekend.
Aaron Rodgers looked amazing last night, and that receiving core could be one of the best in football (Finley is going to cause nightmares).
ESPN was all over Bradford this morning, but I wasn’t really that impressed. He wasn’t pressured at all, neither TD pass was anything insane. I think that kid is going to get rocked this year (hint Pat Willis).
Brady and Manning both looked great as well. Can’t wait for this season to get rolling!
Welcome back now answer the question I asked above, the first on this page. I was commenting on the fact that Arizona is in big fucking trouble IMO. Their QB situation is absolute shit.

The Cardinals are fucked this year. WC they should just go ahead and give the division to San Fran. Also I was wrong on the Rosenfels trade, Nate Davis will be better than Rosenfels will ever be. Now I think Arizona should be trying to get Rosenfels. Cause they are FUCKED at QB. When the unsigned, Rookie free agent from BYU outplays your two potential starters you are FUCKED.
I love everything about this post.
It’s a 49ers dream to see Kurt Warner retire, leaving Anderson and Leinart to duke it out for the title of “who sucks less”. Their run game is also going to suffer, as they really only have one threat in their WR core now. 49ers will dominate the Cards this year, and the NFC West for that matter.
Did anybody see Nate Davis’s bomb? He has some solid skills, I just hope he can develop his mental abilities (he has a pretty bad learning disorder). Smith didn’t look that bad either, and that was without Gore, Crabtree, or Davis.

I call it like I see it man, again I love football. Maybe get back to the time when Big D and San Fran rule the NFC.
“The Cards have quarterback issues. They benched the disappointing Matt Leinart this week, deciding to go with Derek Anderson for their game against the Chicago Bears. Some folks are reporting that it’s a permanent move, with speculation that Leinart could be dumped. In that case, the Cards would be looking for a veteran. Enter, Clemens, whose roster spot is anything but secure.”
Rich Cimini
^This is interesting. Never thought of KC heading there? But what does it tell you about Leinart if they’re considering dumping him

Leinart is damaged goods, see Carr and J. Harrington. Pete ran an outstanding system at USC, plug and play to a certain extent. Palmer has been the best (still no ring) and Sanchez looks like he has promise, but who else John David Booty who? Leinart? Same thing as Texas Tech QB’s have outstanding fucking numbers but cant play at the next level.
^^that’s the way it is with every school. QB is such a hit or miss position when it comes to translating well from the college game to the pro’s… Way more than any other position out there.
There really isn’t a “Quarterback U” in college… You want athletic receivers look at Florida schools. You want good LB’s look at USC, Ohio State, Penn State… There just isn’t a school like that for successful QB’s

True but you would figure by this point there is enough data to support what you are looking for in a Franchize QB. I just think a lot of NFL teams are desperate and reach thinking that they can “make” him a franchize QB.
Sports radio on the way to work was talking about Leinart getting traded and to who. His coach does not sound like he has any intentions of ever giving Leinart the starting job. Who would want this guy? I just cannot think of a good fit anywhere.
Something happened with Lienart and his coach. the coach has some major beef cause he is never gonna give Lienart a legit shot it seems. If you look at the pre season he hasnt played that bad. His combined stats from this pre season are actually really good but he’s getting shit on all the time. I dont think he’s gonna be great or anything but I think he could be an ok starter given a chance.
he’s not looking great in the pre season because:
Boldin is gone
Fitz is out hurt
Their O Line sucks
Their running game is shit
No QB is going to look good with that going on lol… Plus Anderson was playing with the 2’s and 3’s so obviously his stats should have been a little better. I think Lienart should go to Oakland. He’d at least have a shot at playing and playing through shitty games cause Davis would make the coach keep him in lol

Oakland is going with Campbell unless he is going to be put on IR and even then they will probably go with Gronkowski. Pete has spent money on whitehurst at Seattle. Heard rumble about Giants cause they have no back up. I just feel Lienart is going to be a back up from now on.
Yeah I was using Oakland as an example based on how they kept Russel in forever even though he sucked balls(I.E. giving him a legit shot to play). I know he wouldnt play there this year… just an example

I got you, but where do you think he could really go to? I just dont see anywhere that could use him and afford to pay him.

The Colts maybe? I mean Curtis Painter couldn’t hit the back side of a bull. Though Bill Polian is not given to rash decisions.

Good point, my other point is does Leinart realize that he is going to be a career back up now? Look at David Carr since he failed in Houston.

No I doubt it. Did you see the interview where he claimed he had played the best and deserved to be the starter? Though if he gets traded I can’t see him being an upgrade over any starting QB.

I watched two games, and he did not in anyway impress me. I am not a NFL coach so it is an opinion of just some guy, but to me he is a back up. If he has not galvanized his team by this point in his career and cannot at least do something in preseason he is burnt. Nobody on the team has come to his defense, Fitz is not saying hey I want this guy.
^^New article on ESPN said that three teams have contacted the Cards about trading for Lienart… NY Giants, Buffalo Bills aaaaaaand… Oakland Raiders! lol

heard that this morning, but the Oakland thing was quickly shot down.
I was just watching NFL live and they said that the Buffalo was definitely out but that reps from Oakland and NY had contacted Arizona this week. I doubt he goes anywhere but we’ll see
I think he will either be traded or cut. I can see Oakland only if Campbell is out for an extended period of time, Giants need a back up for Eli. Buffalo no way, could you go from where you are to cold ass snowing Buffalo? Dude does not have the arm strength for the snow and wind.
