Suns will make a statement tonight and dominate the Lakers.
LMAO!!! The Suns have absolutely no one to stop the bigs. I actually predict the exact opposite. As a matter of fact, I originally said Lakers in six. I’m changing that to Lakers in 5 max with a possible sweep.
Why do I say this? Beyond the obvious matchup problems, some of you don’t understand how revenge works. Kobe is going to uncork in every game this series. He’s seething from losing to the Suns in 06 and 07 in the playoffs. Lamar is always motivated this time of year and was also a part of those losing teams and now Stoudemire said Lamar was lucky last game (big motivator).
Lastly, there’s also the revenge factor for the Celtics in the next series. Do you think the Lakers are keeping a close eye on that series? I think so. And the Lakers are not going to want the Celtics to have more rest than them before the finals. They KNOW the Celts are up 2 to 0 now. Revenge is a powerful motivator.

Speaking of awesome quotes that were made yesterday, anyone catch Amare calling Odom’s night lucky? I’m betting on a tech or two in the low post tonight =p.
Odom going 19 & 19 probably won’t happen again, but if Stoudamire’s the one guarding him then he’ll have another good offensive night, and probably grab his share of boards. I’m sure Stoudamire said it to get in Odom’s head, but when you get your lunch stolen from you like that it’s probably best to just shut the fuck up.
Umm…you may want to rethink of Odom not going for another big night. Stoudemire said something incredibly stupid after the game. He said Odom was “lucky” that he had those rebounding stats. This is coming from the man who had 3 rebounds all game for himself. He said that it was because he was busy checking Gasol and Bynum.
Lakers fans have been imploring and trying to motivate Lamar for 5 years. This single statement by Stoudemire will light a fire under Lamar’s ass way more than anything Lakerland could have done. Lamar responded with “maybe I’ll have another LUCKY game”.

and this is why i FKN HATE the celtics. when they beat the lakers 2 years ago, I distinctly remember watching sasha knock down a celtic and apologizing while we were down in double digits and tried helping him up and they pushed past sasha.
Today Peirce was quoted saying “does anyone have a broom” after the game. This team has no class, I absolutely hate the celtics and hope Kobe puts it on them.
???
I guess you missed Pierce getting his face re-arranged by Dwight Howard? He made no attempt to help him up.

Anybody hear the song that Cleveland just put out in attempts to keep Lebron? It sounds worse than a chorus of Helen Keller’s trying to sing Pachelbel’s Canon.
They have no shot at getting him back now that this is out.
^^^i haven’t heard it yet but il looking forward to it.
Lakers win again tonight and by double figures I think. On Pardon The Interruption yesterday they were talking about how Jordan used to make up slights and disses from other teams and players then actually make himself believe they were real to get “revenge” and they were saying Kobe does the same thing. They said Kobe was making up a beef with the suns from loosing to them years ago and is getting his revenge. It made me laugh but it’s true lol.

I would feel the same way if I was Pierce.

Do you watch basketball regularly?? I’m not saying this to be a dick, I’m really curious to know if there are basketball fans who watch basketball regularly and are willing to defend the celtics class?? They aren’t called the boston bullies for nothing. They are IMO the most aggressive team in the nba, they maul and bump and bruise their opponents to frustrate them into submission. Not I’m not against that in any way, I say do what you gotta do as long as its not flagrant, but these guys are just assholes and have always been assholes. Between Peirces big mouth, Perkins extremely aggressive style of defense, kevin garnettes barking like an idiot, and there whole teams lack of respect its no wonder so many people despise the celtics.
Wasn’t Artest the one who said that “the celtics took the lakers manhood” when they beat us in '08?? If memory serves me correctly he was. I’m intersted to see him on our team in the championship series and see how aggressive and what type of performance he puts on. I don’t think its any secret that he wants a ring and is going to be facing a very physical championship to get it. I will say after all the negative publicity I’m glad we have artest if were facing the celtics rather than ariza. Artest has a bit more bite to his game and now he’s got the ring dangling in front of him. =)
Here’s a clip of the video I was talking about. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lebron quickly states that this video is the driving force behind his decision to leave.
If you’re not cheating, Your not trying hard enough. I have no problem with the celts style of play. If it worked to win a championship then who gives a fuck what anybody thinks.
BOS looking good, great job in game 2 closing it out with the FT’s (and VC missing his two at the end). That was a horrendous sequence at the end of the game for ORL. Redick gets the rebound, advances it (but not past half court) then calls a timeout. That wasted four seconds. Then a horrible inbounds play with Nelson shooting a hailmary. Good D by Boston.
LAL owned the Suns in game 1, they will probably do the same in game 2. I’m still sticking with PHX going off in game 3 at home and scoring an insane amount of points.
Kobe can be demeaning towards other players when they try to compare him and his skill to others, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard him kick a team while they’re down like Peirce does. Kobe may have his words for certain players, but to disrespect an entire team like Peirce did after beating them is just classless. I’m not an Orlando fan and I was pissed by his remarks, I can imagine how Dwight Howard feels, especially coming from a team they beat last year, suddenly Magic isn’t worthy of Peirces respect?
On a side note I’m having trouble thinking of ideas for drewh’s new avi. You guys wanna post picture suggestions that I can choose from. =)

I saw that and my wife and I both agreed he would put together a great game. I agreed with pretty much everything you quoted from PTI, they were on the money. (even though I am pulling for the Los Suns)

If the magic don’t like it,they know what they have to do. Win.
So much for the Suns newly improved defense. 36 points in the first quarter in the Lake Show does not bode well for the Suns in game 2. So much for the Suns “dominating” the Lakers tonight.
