2010 College Football

Err do you just not pay attention to college ball or something? Because they’ve been catching shit about that ever since. It has slowed down a bit since they beat what was considered to be a far superior Oregon team in the Rose Bowl last season(and pushed Texas to the limit in a BCS game the year prior)… but you best believe that when the team peaked to #1 for a week(lol shitting the bed vs Wisconsin) there were plenty of cries about it.

Well Eic what do you think of this weekend against A&M?
Don’t know what Eic thinks, but I am a little worried about my Huskers playing A&M this weekend, our offenses hasn’t really looked that great the last few games. I think we can win, but it will be a close game.
Sorry Brady you were the other guy I was thinking of, he just has that Avi that pops in my head. The wife is a A&M fan, so Thanksgiving is always fun. I have watched a few A&M games trying to get the wife more interested in College Football. They have been very inconsistent also, I thought Sherman would have turned it around this year. How is your QB? Healthy?
They said he was healthy last week but you can tell by how he ran that is is maybe 85%. He has a high ankle sprain and those take time to heal.

I think our defense will keep us in the game and the offense will do enough to win the game. The key to this game is the QB’s, if we can keep A&M quarterback from getting comfortable and in a rhythm then we will win, but if T-Magic is off and not able to run, then I will NEED to pray our defense keeps A&M from scoring any points.

After getting drilled once Ohio State got the chance to be embarrassed again. Several posters on here are acting like if TCU or Boise got drilled it would settle something forever.

Frankly hoping to play LSU in New Orleans.

Thanks for asking (even if you meant the other Husker fan on here). To be honest, I’m worried. My instincts have generally been right on the money. I feared that we’d lose to Texas, and it happened. I just didn’t like the way the game was coming together: UT coming off two consecutive losses, 2 weeks to prepare of the game, we hadn’t really had any adversity, Texas had no pressure to win, etc.

Conversely, I felt good about the Mizzou game. Mizzou coming off a big win, Nebraska regained confidence by beating Okie State on the road, Big 12 North on the line, etc.

For this game, I feel just like I did before the Okie State game: I won’t be shocked if either team walks away with a win. Here are the things that concern me:

 1. The crowd at Kyle Field will make it impossible for the Huskers to come back from an early hole;

 2. Everyone expects this to be a close game, and the two things that can kill you in a close game besides shoddy kicking (which is not our problem) are fumbling the ball and having bad calls by the refs. We fumble like its our job (I believe we are the worst in Division 1A) and I believe the refs don’t mind throwing flags our way if you catch my drift.

 3. Martinez is not in top form. Our zone-read game is all about getting to the crease. If you do, it’ll go for a big gain. If not, it gets thrown for a loss. Martinez’s ankle may hamper his ability to get through the hole, in which case A&M won’t have to respect him much and can key on Helu and Burkhead. At that point, our running game will likely fold like a lawn chair.

I still think Nebraska can win a close one, but I have had a bad feeling about this game since July. It will easily be the toughest game of the season after Texas.

Hope my boys pull through.

Nope I addressed it to you, cause of your avi. Brady was the other Nebraska fan and I should have rembered cause he has the lighted up vagina. I knew you would have a good break down of the game.

It might show the fact that during the regular season, neither of those teams play anyone of any real merit. Yet they think they deserve to be where they are.

Just a guess.

Just a team from the pac 10, a team from the big 12, a team that had lost 2 games by a combined 6 pointas, and a team that was #5 in the nation at the time. But noone of real merit like say, Georgia State, or any of UTs recent OOC schedules.

I don’t think TCU is turning down offers from the big boys volunteering to come to Ft Worth or even Jerry World.

Hey, Hey, Hey Spike why you bring UT into this discussion. I think almost all the big schools play cream puffs, not just UT. You are letting your hatred bleed through.

No hatred, promise. Aggies, that’s another story. Most of the big schools do play cream puffs rather than playing TCU, Boise, Brigham Young, etc. UT is a prime example of what I dislike about the current system because last year they played 4 cream puffs in OOC, and their marquee win was against an OU team that had 3-4 losses, (including one against BYU who TCU has destroyed 3 years in a row), yet they waltz into the MNC game uncontested. OU plays good OOC schedules, and is coming to Ft Worth (or atleast Arlington) soon.

FWIW I am really not enjoying watching what UT is going through, but I’m not that impressed with Kansas State, Iowa State, Tech, or the majority of the Big 12, to say that you deserve an autobid to the MNC game.

I would like it if Mack Brown, and Augie Durrido (sp?) would schedule games in Ft Worth. However the baseball team showed last June that they don’t mind playing in Austin.

BTW, I love Bama, so I feel free to rag on their OOC schedule (except when I’m at my uncle’s house  ).

If you are ever in FW look me up.

How is a Bama fan in FW? All my family are SEC fans, we are from Tennessee and Florida, but I have been in Texas for the past 27 years. My little sister was a gymnast for UT, so we became UT fans. I would love for the Big 12 to make a push to be competitive like the SEC, just dont know if it will happen any time soon. You sound like a real football fan so next time I am in FW area I will definately look you up, enjoy your weekend.

First time in this lil thread of yours. Being a Md boy I’m a Md fan. However when it’s time to watch football, no doubt the SEC rules. Love that 3’30p game w/cold beer & chicken wings. Some of the dumbest coaches coaching up some of the best athletes in the country…LOL!!!

Thanks, bud. Much appreciated. But what’s this about a lighted up vagina?!?!

For the record, I’ve had nightmares about this game the past two nights. I’m really not crazy, I swear. Two nights ago all our top players had decided to transfer and I was trying to talk some sense into them. Fucking weird, right?

I would say you are worried, if you are dreaming about it. Look farther up thie thread, Brady’s avi looks like a vagina with a light inside of it shining out. I gave him a hard time about it in the past so I thought I would do it again since yall’s team is doing better than mine.

That’s funny. I hadn’t noticed it, but it does look funny. Maybe like a uterus? Yeah, Texas is having a rough year, but you needn’t pick on his avi. All you have to do is point out that Nebraska is among the teams you DID beat. Would you believe I flew out from California for that game? Made for a long flight home.

Its all in good fun, I never get personal on here. At least with the adult males, sometimes the young ones need to be put in there place. I am going to have to sacrifice some football time today, the wife is already making the honey do’s list. If she wasnt so damn fine and a great wife. Oh well, maybe be done in time for the 3 pm games.

I had no choice in life in the decisions of my career, had a kid at 17 so being a kid ended. No regrets.

BUT my dream job would be a NFL scout and I could then go to watch all the college games as a profession. I would be fucking skipping and whistling to work.

Actually get a big Md. game on prime-time tonight. Going against FSU tonight possibly for the division. If Ponder doesn’t play keep an eye for Manuel. Went to the same HS my kid goes to, who btw play in the 2nd round of playoffs tonight for a chance to go to state.

DJ, just do the damn honey do list so you can watch the 3’30 SEC game. Get one of the 22 kids you have to help you out.

Geesh, we are sucking it up against Miss St. I don’t want to take anything away from Miss. St. but we should be handling our business here.

Close but pulled it out. Yikes. Bring on LSU.
