2010-2011 NBA Season 3.0

This an awesome game, but anyone who doesn’t see the ridiculous ref favoritism towards OKC is either retarded or blind. Even with that, Memphis is playing their asses off which, leads into my 2nd question: With the way Memphis has been playing in Gay’s absence, what’re the odds that he gets traded in the off-season? They are clearly better without him, and there has been some rumblings that he’s not well liked on the team. Interested to see how they play it.

And Memphis is doing it without their best player Rudy Gay.

I would really welcome an underdog winning / Cinderella Story this Playoffs.

The NBA is basically the only top league where a low seeded team has not made it to the Finals. I don’t think anyone has come back from a 0-3 deficit either in the NBA

Also wanted to add that Memphis moves the ball as well as any team I’ve seen all year. Screens, back door cuts and constant movement without the ball. Only saw them play a couple of times earlier in the year and they didn’t look near this smooth. They might be my new faorite team to watch. Absolutely beautiful basketball.

Damn Memphis looked good today. Z-boat came to play.

They showed a close-up of Rondo’s face and don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone look so nervous during a game. Dude looks like he saw a ghost.

Agreed. He’s really turned things on.

I don’t think you can use regular season MEM-OKC games to predict this series because they all happened pre-Perkins trade, and Jeff Green was guarding Zach Randolph. That being said, Memphis looked awesome. I can’t figure out though why OKC isn’t putting Perk on Z-Bo and Ibaka on Gasol.

I love G1’s. Always good bets going.

Gonna see if I can up my winnings. Paying $1.87 for CHI v ATL and DAL v LAL to finish combined scores of 178.5 and 188.5 respectively. Dallas are also paying $3.25 for a G1 win. Was a bit shattered not being able to get a shot at BOS v MIA game 1 where Boston are paying $2.85 for a win. Would have been worth putting $10 on the line for that result.

Oh well :)
The NBA has been exceptionally kind to my wallet this year. Memphis getting 6 1/2pts in game 1 was like taking candy from a baby

/offtopic do you guys play ball too? If so, what position?

I played an annoying game of pickup ball today and was curious.
Yeah. I got some dunk vids in my log, and am gonna get up a whole bunch more soon.

Also, Before the Perkins trade I had Boston back in the finals. Without him [and Tony Allen] they beat up a depleted New York squad and are lacking a lot of what made them so tough. I think they beat the Heat, but if they go up against Chicago [and whatever microspic chance ATL had is out with Hinrich gone] they lose. As much as I’d like Bryant to get another title, a Thunder/Chi-Town finals would be bad ass.
Nice…I haven’t dunked since high school when I played volleyball… I’m trying to get back up there but it’s a tough goal to achieve while increasing bodyweight

memphis? word?

How tall are you?

Hello double digit first half lead MIA

miami? word?

Now, every team that is still around is crazy dangerous on a good shooting night, but Miami looks impossible to handle when their shooters are hitting those kickouts. There is no way you can get away with NOT sagging into the lane or James/Wade will just destroy you themselves, what does a coach tell their players during a game like this, “hopefully Jones stops hitting his shots” ??

Boston apparently showing me the answer in the early going of this 2nd half: do a much better job defending the initial penetration, got the game to a manageable margin now.

Rick Ross has been killing it the past year. Don’t let Mark Jackson fool you.

Meanwhile on hiphop forums, Mark’s comments have spawned a huge debate about this. Rick Ross getting seriously discredited on national TV!

Damn, Pierce is the only thing keeping this game from being a route and he just got ejected. I thought he got a little lucky that there were double tech’s on that earlier scuffle, apparently the refs just rescinded that luck.

^lol

That’s what I was thinking. I guess they were taking that headbutt into account when they were overly harsh on him just now.

Still sucks for Boston, their most clutch player and their only hot [pause] player is gone for the last 6 minutes.

Ray Allen put on his Superman cape while we were all distracted, Boston looks fired up post-ejection.
