Pulling for Lakers,Suns,Hornets,Rockets

East does it matter? Just would like to see Detroit drop out, just don’t like the Pistons…

Hey, look who it is!!!

Thanks for joining the thread kind sir, sorry again about the Warriors.

Good pic on the teams. Rockets might not get very far, seeing they are down 2-0. Lakers and Hornets should advance. As for the Suns, sorry buddy, gotta go against that, gotta pic the champs.
Thats not who I think will win, its who I want to win.

Chillain:

Good to see you buddy. Hey If Nash can keep his hands to himself I'm sure Bowen will return the favor.

That’s a dry well.

If that recorder had any real dirt, he’d had revealed it a long time ago.

That series is over.

Tgunslinger:

I tend to agree with you except I remember a series from back sometime in the 90's (I think)playoffs Spurs--Rockets. If I am remembering that series correctly neither team won at home both teams had all of their wins on the road! So stranger things can happen.

If you’re talking Rockets-Jazz, then the series is over. The Jazz simply don’t lose at home very often. The Rockets aren’t a team with a big-enough pair to win in a hostile environment. It would be a miracle if the Rockets steal one game out in Utah.

Just so people know (calling for a Cavs Pistons rematch), they won’t meet until the conference finals. Unless it is presumed the Cavs are going to get past the C’s. If all top seed get through round 1, Cavs get C’s and Motown gets the Magic.

Yeah, they’ve still gotta play the games, but really now.

The Jazz never lose at home, and Houston is not one of the mentally stronger teams in the playoffs.

Houston’s going to have to win two in Utah to take this series, and that just ain’t happening. I’d be mildly surprised if this series even goes back to Houston for Game 5.

Obligatory mention of the Lakers being the team that snapped Utah’s 19 game home winning streak.

Basketball is my sport. I’m not going to go through picking everything, but my dark horse match-up has been NO v. Orlando since the break.

I’ll just be happy if Detroit and San Antonio aren’t in it again. I cannot fucking stand Detroit, bunch of whiny assholes who pretend to be tough and cry anytime something doesn’t go their way. I apprecaite San Antonio, but I cannot deal with them in the finals again. I will kill myself, I swear to god.

Chris Paul was nuts tonight. 32 points, 17 assists.

Ha ha! I think a lot of people feel that way about the Spurs.

Spurs-Suns Game 2 just started the 4th Q with SA leading 81-72.

I might be jumping the gun, but if SA wins this game, this series is over as well.

I might be too quick to call it, but I don’t think so.

PHX HAS to win this game. Has to, or they’re done like dinner.

13-point Spurs lead as I type this… I think the Suns will be lucky to get a split at home. I think you’re dead on, tGunslinger.

I’m not going to count Phoenix out so easily. But this 2nd half turnaround is pretty humiliating. the Spurs collectively remembered that they are the defending champions, and it shows.

suns are pretty close, I would not call it over even if they lose. Doesn’t matter though lakers are going all the way anyways

Spurs 2, Suns 0.

Game Over, PHX.

Well, credit to the Suns for showing a little fight, but they are likely toast. They’ll probably win Game 3, but Game 4 will be the deciding factor.

Yeah buddy! haha

Tuesday, 4/22/08 Recap:

 1. Spurs defeat 6) Suns 102-96: Tony Parker scored 32 points, and the Spurs erase a 7-point halftime deficit to go up 2-0. Amare had a big game with 33, and Steve Nash had 23 and 10 dimes, but Phoenix only scored 35 points in the second half.

 2. Hornets defeat 7) Mavericks 127-103: Chris Paul had 32 and 17 dimes (!), and the Hornets cruise past the Mavs and go up 2-0 heading to Big D. Dirk Nowitzki had 27 points in the loss.

Stud of the Night: Chris Paul. His playoff debut was awesome. His encore was better. 32 and 17. Tough to do better than that.

Nuggets fan checking in. I’m afraid it might be a long short series for us. The zone was working in the second quarter and they turned a big deficit into a small lead, but then in the second half they remembered they are the Nuggets and don’t play defense. Actually I was inpressed how Kenyon Martin and JR Smith kept a lid on Kobe, but the Lakers still scored a ton, led by Gasols easy jams. I was very, very impressed by the Lakers ball movement and passing. Oh yeah, and Iverson needs to like, find his free throw stroke again, fast.
Hey Pretzel, nice to have a Nuggets fan on board. Yeah, you guys can definitely score, but the Lakers proved in Game 1 they can score also. Yeah I was pretty impressed by JR Smith on the defensive side as well, considering he’s not much for playing D. Iverson and Melo will get their points, but it’s the rest of the team that needs to step up.
