Damn that game sucked! Everything fell apart when Bowen picked up his fourth foul midway thru the 3rd and went to the bench. Once Bowen got back in the game at the start of the 4th the Lakers had erased 15 points of SA’s 20 point lead and Kobe was in his groove. Bowen did the best he could but once that train starts rolling no one can really stop it. It’s really sad because Timmy D had a great game. But Ginobli just flat out sucked. I had really hoped that SA could steal one in LA. I don’t think that’s going to happen now.[/quote]

if my team blew a 20 point lead in the end of the game I would be little worried, I think Lakers going to have some huge confidence now.

The Spurs got blown the *(#@ out in Games 1 and 2 at NO, and still won the series. It would have been nice for them if they could’ve won Game 1 last night, but it’s just not that big a deal.

LA held serve, nothing more, but SA made them work pretty damn hard for it. If they can bring that game all series long, I think they’ll take the series.

I’m always worried. This season the Spurs have repeatedly blown big leads. I’m sure LA has all the confidence in the world. The Spurs are lucky to even be here. But the Spurs are nothing if not resilient.

If they continue to bring that game, they will get swept.

Rip Hamilton goes for two in the first half.

Tom and Giselle (and her two friends).

some more action.

Garnett.

Tough game…

As I thought they might, the Pistons take a huge Game 2 win.

The Pistons may of won but the Celtics played quite well, they have to stay out of foul trouble and work on the defence.

Ray Allen seems to be coming out of his slump, everyones giving him a hard time…just keep in mind hes never been this far in the playoffs before, he deserves some slack. Celts win game 3.

Thursday, May 22 Recap:

  1. Pistons defeat 1) Celtics 103-97: Richard Hamilton scored 25 points, and Chauncey Billups added 19 and 7 assists, as the Pistons tie up the series 1-1. Kevin Garnett had 24 and 13 boards, and Ray Allen broke out of his shooting slump, scoring 25 points, but was in foul trouble most of the game, and his minutes were limited.

Stud of the Night: Chauncey Billups. Overcoming a subpar Game 1 performance where his hamstring was obviously bothering him, Mr. Big Shot responded with 19 points and 7 assists, and his Pistons head home to Motown tied 1-1.

I know I’m preaching to the choir, but all of us knew if there is one team that can win on the road, it’s the Pistons, and they proved it tonight with a spectacular performance. Nice to see C-Bills looking like his usual self.

Lets see if the Spurs can follow suit.

If I lived in Vegas, I would have put money on the Pistons in Game 2. Those guys are true road warriors, and they’re especially nasty when their backs are up against a wall. If they stay focused, they could go up 3-1 just like that. However… the Pistons have also been prone to lapses of concentration and motivation at times. If they get lackadaisical, the Celtics, even though they haven’t won on the road, are certainly good enough to win on anyone’s floor.

Bite your tongue, man! j/k.

We all know the Spurs are a threat anywhere. I feel pretty good for the Lakers going into Game 2, though. They played like shit in Game 1 and still came out on top, and I think they’ll play much better from the outset in Game 2. I’m guessing they control most of the game and win by a small margin.

Halftime, with the Lakers up … speaking of up, let’s get some pics going: Kobe dunks as Bowen can only watch.

Jacque Vaughn and Kobe Bryant battle for a loose ball.

Gasol scores on Duncan.

Kobe dishes to Gasol…

Great to see Ariza back on the floor. He’s looking pretty comfortable as well. Also, The Lakers have been very good at shutting down the Spurs offense. Which is proving to be exactly how to beat them, since they already don’t score tons of points.

I would not be at all surprised if this series only goes to 5.

Christ, I expected the Lakers to win, but not by 30!
