Jazz defeat 1) Lakers 104-99: Carlos Boozer had a dominant performance with 27 points and 20 boards, and the Jazz hand the Lakers their first loss of the playoffs this year. Kobe Bryant scored 34 points, and Derek Fisher had 13 against his former team.
Stud of the Night: Carlos Boozer. Monster performance with 27 points and 20 boards, and he helps the Jazz to victory and gain some steam for game 4.
Lakers game was very close even with the bad play of lakers with all the turnovers and allowing for so many offensive rebounds, I suspect they will win on sunday and finish it off in LA.

I agree completely. There is no way in hell the Lakers drop Game 4. Even losing this one game disgusts me.

I couldn’t agree more. Tayshaun’s shot was awesome!!! Hedo had a chance, but couldn’t convert. Coming back from 3-1, especially against the Pistons, looks pretty slim.
And note to Boston: Game 3 has started. Lets go ahead and start playing, not scoring 35 points in the first half.

Ha ha. I think Boston is going to struggle on the road as long as they remain in the playoffs.

I agree. The way they struggled with the Hawks on the road doesn’t look very good for Boston’s chances on the road against better teams. If they struggled on the road against a team that finished 8 games below .500, their chances don’t look much better playing anyone else on the road.
They should be VERY thankful they have home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.
Ever since Delonte West got traded to Cleveland, his game has really flourished. Seems like the Cavs is good for his style of play.
Jeff Van Gundy is hilarious!!! I noticed this during the regular season, and along with being a good analyst, he can be pretty funny. I remember I was watching a Lakers game earlier in the regular season, and Ice Cube was in attendance. JVG says “Everyone should have ‘It Was A Good Day’ on their iPod. That was the very first song I downloaded when I bought mine.” HAHAHAHAHA
Zydrunas Ilgauskas looks much better with the shaved head than with hair. I feel sorry for him and his wife, who were expecting twins last year, and she had a miscarriage at seven months in. Very unfortunate, but a good guy and pretty consistent. He didn’t show any decrease in play last year, and looked better this year.
Absolutely pitiful performance by Boston. Not only do you let Cleveland off the mat, you let them bitch-slap you so hard that they’re already thinking about taking a 3-2 lead back home to Cleveland for Game 6.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a playoff favorite show less killer instinct or heart of a champion than these Celtics (excluding the infamous '07 Mavs).
We’re now ten games into the playoffs; you can’t say it’s a fluke anymore. This team flat sucks on the road, and that’s a death sentence in the playoffs. Guys, you ain’t gonna go 16-0 at home.
It will not be Boston who’s hanging a banner in June.
“…Eddie House can put that in his video scrapbook, he knocked the King down. It was like MMA. What is that…Mixed Martial Arts? That looks like Randy Couture.”
Pistons defeat 3) Magic 90-89: Rip Hamilton went for 32 points, and Tayshaun Prince added 17, including the go-ahead shot with a few seconds to put the Pistons up 3-1. Hedo Turkoglu had 20 points for the Magic, and had a decent look at a last shot, but couldn’t get it to fall through. Dwight Howard had an extremely off night, finishing with 8 points and 12 boards.
Cavs defeat 1) Celtics 108-84: LeBron James and Delonte West scored 21 points each, and the Cavs dominate at home to close the series to 2-1. Kevin Garnett had 17 and 9 boards for the Celtics, who are winless on the road in the playoffs this year.
Stud of the Night: Richard Hamilton. 32 points and 6 boards, and stepped up for the Pistons, who were without Chauncey Billups. They don’t call him Rip for nothing.
I hate Kobe but love to watch him playing, the MVP should go to Gasol.
Utah: I am sorry, I like you guys but you are out already, there is something missing in your mix and i can’t pinpoint it (maybe experience).
NO: keep pushing that you can go to the finals and get the title. Paul can carry any team on his back as long as his team show up and play.
Orlando: you have the best centre of the league and no reason to loose this series if you go to the next round is up to you.
Spurs and Pistons: you guys are boring. If the finals are between you there is no need to watch the games because there will be no entertainment value them I’ll watch darts instead.
And that is based in my ignorance and arrogance, no need to reply…
Celtics are looking increasingly weak. They beat the Cavs twice, but both those games LeBron was playing completely anemically. Whatever it is that LeBron is working out, as soon as he does, and gets back into his swing. I would not be surprised if the Cavs beat the Celtics.
