Okay, I give up: Why do people a) have avatars and b) have avatars depicting someone other than the poster? I get having your own dog as an avatar, or maybe a piece of artwork. But why has GSP/Dave Tate/Schwarzenegger as your avatar?
Because they are amusing.
And I am a super soldier like Captain America. Damn… guess the cat’s outta the bag.

T-Mag, due to the popularity of Spike shooters, will be invaded by douchebags.
Prof. X will stop posting to the forum.
Once Prof. X stops posting, the few remaining serious lifters will stop reading the forums.
The forums will then resemble something found at Men’s Health or Runner’s World.
It can be a bit discouraging here at times, but I certainly hope you are wrong.
I hope so, too. One way to prevent this from happening is allowing people to call out these idiots who post about creatine; or to send those questions to the Beginners section. Really… Is there any reason a post about creatine should end up in the S&N section? I have not seen a “new” creatine-related question.
Anyone asking about creatine is an idiot unwilling or unable to do basic research. Best case is those posts would not even make it through the mods. At the least, they should be redirected to the Beginner’s section.

Nope. Are you claiming I’m wrong, or are you just “venting” a little? It’s cool if you’re venting. But if you don’t think this place will look completely different this time next year, it’s only because you were not around in years past.
I don’t have a problem with your opinions, per se, it just seems like you have a lot of complaints about the site or people that post on it…therefore, I wonder why you come here? I’m not trying to pick on you, I just don’t understand why you would log on if you’re just going to get pissed off. Having that strong of an emotional connection to people on an internet forum just isn’t worth the stress.

Because it represents who and what I am.
For many, it is a personal statement that immediately identifies an ideology or goal they may have.
For others, it may just be a photo they like.
Whatever someone chooses to use as their avatar, says something about the poster.
In the same vein, not having an avatar says something about the poster also.

Dude, while you’re in there, see if you can sniff what they ate for dinner last night.
Plus, you get the added bonus of elitism. There’s nothing like some humor that only a handful of people will get… for example an edited picture of Milkman Dan.

Not edited, just the only one I could find. Glad you get it…I think.

Because when I grow up I want to be just like him, and shoot buildings down with rocket launchers.

I don’t know about anybody else, but mine is me.
Thanks though.
