Question for you fellas. I have some serious WR trouble in my draft league. Here’s what I got.

S. Smith
S. Moss
M. Colston
Michael Clayton
E. Wilford
B. Berian

Besides Smith and Moss, I really don’t have much. Colston is having a great year and i’m pretty much going to start him as my No. 3. My question is, with Simms being hurt is Clayton going to produce at all? He hasn’t yet and I don’t see him doing much with their starting QB out. And what about Wilford? I traded Burleson for him when I heard that Branch was going to Seattle. But it seems that Wilford is the No. 3 guy in Jacksonville now.

So, should I drop either of them and pick up Chris Henry? I know that he’s a No. 3 guy too but I think that he has more upside than Wilford does. If Johnson or Housh go out he’s a stud. Well, he’s a stud now but is stuck behind to other studs.

And what are your thoughts on Clayton? Just stick it out with him and see what happens? I know it’s early in the year and I don’t want to drop him but I really don’t see his situation in TB getting any better.
I really like Chris Henry. I think he’s got a ton of upside. It just depends on how much he actually plays. He’ll be a beast if he ever gets the chance to be a full-time starter.

I agree that Clayton probably won’t do much with Tampa’s QB situation. Wilford at least has a decent QB in Leftwich and a good backup in Garrad.

If you going to drop anyone, I would drop Clayton for Henry.

Any chance for a trade instead of just cutting him loose?

Thanks for the replies fellas. Clayton is the guy that I was obviously leaning towards keeping. I don’t think there is much of a chance of trading him considering he hasn’t done anything so far this year and their starting QB is out.

Good point about Wilford playing with a better QB, never thought of that. Also, Jones has been nursing some injuries the past couple of weeks.

Well, all the fuggin’ talk about picking up Henry and I didn’t do it last night because I forgot when I got home. Got into work this morning low and behold someone picked him up. F*CK! Oh well.

I made a bunch of changes today. Picked up D. Rhodes and started him(got lucky there, he already scored), dropped Mike Bell… only because i like D. Rhodes better.

Dropped Phila Kicker and DEf, picked up Scoobe and Miami’s def this week.

Dropped Cincy and picked up Rod Smith, already have J Walker, but just in case… I got the DEN WO covered.

Picked up Leinart because I have Warner and dropped Brunnel. I started Bledsoe though… not good, he already threw a pick.

As fot the rest I got R. Moss, Harrison Walker, Larry Johnson, & Winslow in there.

Looks like 4-0 to me. We’ll see. I’ll get back later A.A. see how everyone is doing.

Pepp huh?
LT huh?

Your predictions were off GHF.

But what really matters is…how about them Skins!!!

That game was fucking amamzing dude. I just got home and we started tail gating at noon.

A
How are my predictions off?

I nailed LT! he got a lousy 4 points in a yahoo fantasy league. ZERO TD’s like I predicted. All he did was go over my yardage prediction of 60 with 98, mind you he did have a 30 yard breakaway run… I’d say I had him peggeg only scoring 4 fantasy points is pathetic.

Now culpepper… Threw 250 yards thats good, but only threw 1 TD… not good O.K. so he didnt break out, but he did have his best fantsay game thus far.

I was a little short on L.J. too he barely broke a 100 yards rushing and scored 2 td’s… i predicted 3. KC won 41-0, I think L.J could have scored 4 times had the play calls went to him. so I had that game under wraps KC destroyed SF as I had figured.

Finally. I tore it up today.
2 tds from Bledsoe
2 from LJ.
1 from Moss
1 from Winslow
1 from Rhodes

My kicker and def did great and got them out of the free agent pool this week Miami and Scobee.

I still have Driver left and harrison was a bust with only 79 yars which is 3 fantasy points.

L.T. = Bust
Harrison = Bust
Warner was a bust too… luckily I started Bledsoe

Those guys should be putting up 100 yard games a week and a TD(Harrison & L.T.)

How did you do? win or lose? I won big!

Heck yeah!

I would have loved to had Brunell & S.Moss combo this week.

I dumped Brunell awhile ago.

Picked up Rod Smith though. Is there a reason he was dumped other than poor performance thus far?

That league has a horrible setup then. For LT to rack up 105 yards of total offense and get less fantasy points than somebody who gets a 1 yard touchdown with nothing else is ridiculous.

Oh, and predicting a guy will get 60 rushing yards and having him gain 98 is NOT “having him pegged.” Maybe it means close to the same in certain fantasy leagues, but not even close in terms of performance on the field.

Spread that out over a 16-game season and it’s a 960 yard back vs. a 1,568 yard back. You were right about the zero touchdowns, but against the Ravens D that wasn’t exactly going out on a limb. He still played a good game.

I had a good week this week. I’m up 18 points already heading in to tonight with Driver and Philly D still to play. The guy I’m against doesn’t have anyone left so its just a matter of how bad I beat him.

I finally got the Bledsoe/Glenn connection I was hoping for. Both of Bledsoe’s TDs went to Glenn. And S. Jackson finally got a TD.

And how about Laurence Maroney? I cut my 2nd tight end last week to pick him up from the free agent pool but didn’t start him. I’m still psyched about what he did yesterday even with him on the bench.

I don’t want to talk about Santana right now. I benched him this week in favor of Berrian of the Bears. Sure, Berrian had a great game, 108 yds receiving and 1 TD. Normally, i’d be really happy about that. BUT NO! Moss had to blow up for 3 fuggin’ TDs. WTF! What a d*ckhead.

And what is wrong with the Viqueens running game? With Hutch and McKinney they should be able to run the ball down people’s throats. But NO! He gets me 3 freakin’ pts. While Maroney is on my bench and he gets me 25 pts! My freakin’ bench outscored my starters this week. But then again, I just picked up Maroney this week off the waiver wire and dropped DeAngelo Williams. So, I wasn’t expecting to start him.

Luckily, my other WRs went off and had huge games also. Steve Smith and Colston. I’m down by 10 pts going into tonight’s game and I have McNabb to play. So, i’m pretty sure i’ll get the victory. But dang. From now on i’m starting Moss no matter what. And Maroney is my No. 2 instead of Taylor.

And what do I do with Ronnie Brown? He had a decent day but he can’t find the endzone. It’s a good thing he gets points for receptions. That is the only thing saving his value.

And in my other league, I dropped Pepp. If can’t put up quality numbers against Houston, he’s not worth having. I dropped him and picked up Grossman. It looks like he’s the real deal.

So, all in all I probably have two wins this week.

Hey AA, hell of a game to go to!

Who asked you? And would you like to challange me on predictions this week? I dare ya… I can make you look like an idiot real fast.

Lets recap. I predicted 3 fantasy points for L.T., he got 4… holy shit was I off. I should have been more accurate like when I predicted exactly 62 yards in week 1 from Roniie Brown and he got… well 62 yards.

And yes 98 rushing yards with a 29 yard breakaway run was close. again I challange you to any predictions for the week. You can make as many as you want, and I guarantee you will lose in comparison. Hell, I didn’t even give mine much of a thought other than off the top of my head and I’ve been pretty damn accurate this season.

Again, put your money where your mouth is. I do. I always back myself up. If you can make better predictions of the unknown than me, than you can talk… until then STFU and know who you’re talking too. I’ve forgoten better shit than you’ve ever thought of.

I hate these little pricks that chime in here, just to insult someone and have no frame of reference. that’s like me insulting Dale Earnheart Jr. about his racing ability because he got 3rd place… meanwhile I’ve never driven a stock car in my life.

Put up or shut up dude… I would prefer the latter, I will embarrass you on the predictions. But the challange and the offer is on the table.

Someone piss in your oatmeal this morning GoHeavy? haha DAMN…

“I’ve forgoten better shit than you’ve ever thought of” CLASSIC!

82-53 and I still have Donald Driver left… my opponent has nobody left.

4-0 and I scored the most points for the 3rd time. The next closest guy to me has 67. this is a winners league too, I’m lovin it.

O.K. A.A. Now is the time I would cut loose of Culpepper. He showed that being in Miami is going to be tough for him to consistantly put up big numbers every week. His best week was this one and against a bad DEF, can’t rely on him. Trade him or drop him. Bledsoe and Warner are enough to hang on… Pick up Leinart and you’ll have the same QB’s I got. I havn’t had any QB problems yet. I used Warner the first 3 games and then Bledsoe this week. If you can get Grossman, Pennington, Plummer could turn it up… he won’t stay down for long. Find a replacement, I wouldn’t rely on a non producing QB. He’s as reliable as Randy Moss is right now… not very! Especially when they are in shit offenses. Pepp and Randy are studs but similiar to Plummer, they only do well when they’re on a good team. Plummer sucks, but he does o.k. on a good team. I think Plummer will turn this around. Culpepper showed its going to be a rough year in Miami… he threw for about 250, but he’s not been able to put a multiple td game together in 4 tries. Got to cut him loose, and cut your losses. Even if he pulls a 3 td game this week, how consistant is this foing to be. I say dump the fucker. He already failed you many times. This week was O.K., not a bust… but not great either. Warner last week was O.K. and a bust this week, he scored -2 in my league. Bledsoe scored 14 points… that’s why I went with Drew, I figured him for a couple of scores and some decent yards. I knew warner was going to get stuffed with the Atlana secondary… so I benched him for once, even though he has been great thus far.

That sucks about Moss, I started my Moss, but I had too J. Walker and R. Smith had a bye week. I’ve only had Randy benched one time and that was against Baltimore where he put up zer points. Chances are I’ll have him , Harrison(over fucking due, where’s his td’s), and either Driver or J. Walker in every week. My WR core still looks money. Stick with Ronnie Brown, he’ll show up trust me! i agree with the Pepp drop and the Grossman pick-up. good way to cut losses.

How would you rank them?
I got em like this…
#1 Marvin Harrison
#2 Donald Driver
#3 Javon Walker
#4 Randy Moss
#5 Rod Smith

My Backfeld is a little rough right now for the second back…
#1 Larry Johnson(won’t ever get benched)

…but the number two guy is a bitch to pick every week
#2 Jamal Lewis, Then Dominick Rhodes, Then Corey Dillon

I went with Rhodes this week and got him as a free agent and dropped Mike Bell.

I was suprised about the Vikings too. I started Taylor over Maroney and Jordan. I thought Jordan might have big game but decided to stick with Taylor because I just couldn’t convince myself that the Raiders would be able to do anything so I was pleasantly surprised. We start 2 backs in my league and I think I have a decent squad of Jackson, Taylor, Maroney, and Jordan. I’m still not entirely sold on Jordan but at least least I have a little bit of leverage if I decide to try to move him.

There are two owners in my leage that really don’t seem to play or set their rosters properly. One has Alexander and the other has LJ. LJ rode the guy’s bench yesterday while he started Cadillac Williams during his bye week.!! And the other guy hasn’t changed his roster since Week 1 and started Alexander. Maybe I can get the attention of one of them long enough to trade for an elite back. Hmmm.

Too bad i’m talking about 3TD Santana Moss and not suckhead Randy Moss. I would be alright benching Randy Moss if he had one TD. But i’m not alright benching Santana Moss when he goes off for 3 TDs!!! That bastage!

I would agree with your rankings for your receivers. Harrison has yet to find the endzone but he’s putting up quality numbers. He’s still a top WR in the league in my opinion.

Rhodes looked good yesterday. But besides Johnson you are not very solid. Could you try to trade for someone?

EDIT: After reading your post again I noticed the “MY Moss” part. So, yeah, you were talking about Santana and not Randy in regards to me. I’m not very smart sometimes.

Worst to first this year- I was 2-12 last year, this year I’m already 4-0.
Congratulations! We’ll see who cracks 1st… me or you. I’m also 4-0 in the “winners league”. lol

I’m probably playing a bunch of Jr. High School kids.

I think I have a good shot at going undefeated. Its tough though, i only went undefetaed once and it was a regular league. I only play 1 league a year. Some people play mulitples, I don’t know who you would root for in that case. If you have the same players in every league then i could understand. The one guy in last place in my league was shit talking during the draft and “claims” he has 4 first place teams and he drafted 20. Christ, he has to root for the entire league. Come Sunday there are only 8 players I root for and the team DEF.

4-0 in one league
3-1 in another
2-2 in the third
I dropped a spot in the overall league but closed the gap with number one team from 80 points to 40 points. I still have LJ Smith to go but he has Favre. Still not a bad week.

I also have a chance at high score this week with McNabb and Westbrook still to go in one league, down to high scorer by 30.

I wont both side bets I made this week. I will gladly lose every single fantasy game for the rest of the season if it means the Skins playing like that!!

I don’t see why you got so mad. I didn’t say anything to personally attack YOU in that last post. It was about your prediction.

And let me get this straight, a few weeks/months worth of accurate fantasy football predictions and you’re the self-proclaimed Dale Earnhardt Jr. of predictions? Get over yourself.

I would be happy to compete with you on predictions each week. I’ll be sure not to be a “little prick who comes on here to insult you.” We can let the predictions speak for themselves. You can even make the rules so that we have some sort of measurable way to see who is more accurate.
