2 Weeks into TRT, Random Fatigue

I generally get into the muscle every time. I can feel it when I break muscle, I know I did it that time. It must have just been the alcohol causing the issues. I feel better this week. I go Monday for my blood tests, going to see if he will up my dose to 140mg and then post my results here.

I know I am replying to an old message but I found my original blood tests that had T3 and other tests on it.
TSH 1.720 scale: 0.450-4.500
T4 8.2 scale: 4.5-12.0
T3 uptake 24 scale: 24-39
Free thyroxine Index 2.0 scale: 1.2-4.9
T3 140 scale: 71-180

That is everything on the Thyroid page.
I haven’t researched what is what yet but thought I would let you take a look and see if that’s what needed to be tested and what the results mean good or bad.

Should it be on the lower end or the higher end? Mine is right at the max:

FT3 6.0 pmol/L 3.3-6.0

High end you are probably feeling great in terms of thyroid health right?

Not that great with thyroid. @systemlord what’s your thoughts looking at this?

I’m going to share that with my doctor and see what he thinks, as well as bring up my thyroid test again. I just swapped to 50mg every 3.5d because I just felt horrible around day 4, by day 7 I felt depressed and miserable. I feel alright right now but deffinatly need more energy. Going to ask about upping to 140mg instead of 120mg the next time I visit.

You just changed your dosage and I would not expect anyone to feel good, your halved your injection and have less to hold you over and moves should be undertaken with lab testing and not blind moves based on how you feel.

People that constantly change dosages to escape feeling unwell are doomed to a long ordeal never really benefiting from TRT and these guys usually end up quitting TRT altogether.

Week 5 is always the toughest for me and week 6 things start to look up.

I’ve only made 2 changes to my dosage. I moved from 80mg to 100mg a week after 6 weeks. Then moved to 50mg twice a week after 7 weeks of 100mg. I made this decision based on the fact that I would get down and fatigued around day 4 then it progressively grew until I took my next shot. But I understand what you mean by don’t make changes until after week 6. The only other things I have changed would be adding L tyrosine to my morning vitamins and changed my diet to purely veggies, fruits, and meats.

I think that you are on the right track. You probably just need a small bump in dosage. When are your next labs?

Next upcoming Monday. Technically I am due for labs now but my doctor wont be in on the day I take my next shot.
As a side note. I’m not experiencing major depression at the end of the week anymore since swapping to 2 injections a week.

Yeah, you are probably a fast metabolizer, and mildly under-dosed. You’re pretty close I think.

I hope your right, that is what I was thinking before I swapped. For 3 months I’ve been up and down every week with only 1 good half week. Now that I have swapped I finally feel back to a general normal and can get through my week without worrying about it. I’m going to see if my doctor will give me a slight jump from 100mg to 140mg instead of just 120mg after we see my blood tests. 140mg split twice a week might get me to the tipping point to where I get the quality benefits all week. I feel better right now, but only in the sense that I dont feel like hell anymore lol. I’ll post my results after next Monday.

I sent off my blood today.

How are you doing now?

Are you still with your original doctor? I couldn’t read the whole thread but I realized he knows less about TRT than at least half the guys in this forum

It is fucking rediculous to start TRT without knowing SHBG. I have no words…

I am just met with him for my blood work yesterday. I brought up each of the test recommended and he was happy to test for them. When I mentioned SHBG he described it to me exactly like yall do. I do remember him mentioning in the beginning that he assumes my SHBG to be good to low because of my weight and lifestyle (daily workouts, very healthy meals, 50+ hour labor work with rentals and side businesses, healthy sex life, no booze or nicotine, yadayada) but he should have went ahead and tested. He is pretty loose going, and happy to listen to me and respond to what I want so I would prefer to keep him if possible. The closest I could go is to Atlanta… and that’s a solid 1 hour + one way drive for me. As long as he is willing to work with me then I dont mind training my pet dragon so to speak.

I have gained 7 pounds since starting, my body looks better, and I feel less shitty compared to my original dose. But yesterday he did O.K. me to start 120mg every 5 days (or split it into 3.5) once my blood results came back unless he left a notice stating otherwise with them.

And still make him test your SHBG
