2 Months Post Cycle - Blood Test Results

Hi everyone,

I went to my doc to get some blood tests done. Tested Free Testosterone, FSH, Liver Function, insulin levels, cholestrol, kidney function, and a few other things.

Got the results today, essentially everything is within normal levels except for my cholestrol (high, with also high lipid levels).

My previous cycle was 500mg Test E per week (12 weeks), dbol for 5 weeks (20mg/d, 40mg/d), winny after the dbol for the remainder of the cycle, clen for 2 - 3 weeks. then pct.

now im assuming that the winny could have affected my lipid and cholestrol levels. Also theres a slight elevation of an enzyme level on my liver.

Any thoughts as to how to lower cholestrol etc. Im going to start supplimenting with milk tistle for the liver.

i also had 4 smoked viennas at 1am the night before i did the cholestorl test which was 10am the next day…im not sure if that could have elevated my levels before the test…

With time the levels should go back to normal range, but damn 12 weeks of orals? That sounds rough.

hmmm yeah it actually is 12 weeks of orals.

i mean i did test e for 12 weeks, dbol for 5, winny for the remaining 7 weeks. Lesson learnt …

The typical liver test results are not liver specific. If you worked muscles to soreness, that would create that outcome.

Normal T is a huge range, you know that right?

hi bonez what do you mean by Normal T is a huge range? not following what you saying…

He means that your if your T is normal it could still be on the lower end of normal or the higher end and the range between both is big. So you could still be experiencing effects of low T if you T is “normal” but at the lower end.

Something like 250ng/dl-1000ng/dl is considered normal range. “Normal” includes all adult men. Meaning 18yrs old all the way to 60 something years old. Im not saying your T levels are one thing or another, just that ‘normal’ doesnt really tell much for this purpose.

ah ok I understand guys. Thanks for clearing that up. The tests basically say my free testosterone is
0.49 nmol/L with the reference stating anything below 0.29 nmol/L is adequate justification for t-replacement therapy. Not sure what 0.49 is in ng/dl

by the way, opted for free testosterone tests rather than total testosterone as I was told free testosterone is the more important one.

found this on the net

Reference Intervals for Free Testosterone from LabCorp

  • 20-29 years 9.3-26.5 picogram/mL
  • 30-39 years 8.7-25.1 picogram/mL
  • 40-49 years 6.8-21.5 picogram/mL
  • 50-59 years 7.2-24.0 picogram/mL
  • 60+ years 6.6-18.1 picogram/mL

So 0.49 nmol/L = 14.12 picogram/mL (im 31 years old)…so its just above average for my age etc…

is this correct?

Problem is that free testosterone levels are somewhat transient and are highly dependent upon the time that has passed since your last pulse of release from testes. For this reason you always need a total value to go with your free.

ah i see. ok will get some more done when i do my cholestrol test check up

Not only is the age range huge, but the health range is huge as well…“Low Normal” can be comprised of 60 year old men on their death bed…after all, its mostly the sick people that are getting blood tests, right? For that reason, I feel that you should mostly shoot for high-normal on all the androgen markers.

do u have high cholesterol in your family? If not, before resorting to a statin drug, try supplementing with pill form garlic and fish oils (if u don’t already)

well my dad has got high cholesterol but thats diet and lifestyle related

Not taking any statin drugs …im taking vitamins such as niacin…and i do suppliment with omegas. My cholestrol up as a result of my previous cycle…should be sorted in a few weeks though…this is when i plan to run my next cycle.

Generally u want time on to equal time off… It is probably a good recommendation to get the cholesterol sorted out and allow your body some time to sit at homeostasis before jumping back on; alas, do as u will…

yep following the time on + pct = time off…and that has lapsed…its been 3 months since my last cycle. Cholestrol slightly high…but shoudl come down in a week or so.

A major portion of individuals that get hormonal tests, get them done as part of a yearly check up.

The usage of the word “major portion” is highly debatable since most insurance providers won’t pay for these baseline types of tests…I would venture that the portion is “minor” vs major…and of those healthy people getting the tests, its pretty rare that they are skewing the lower ranges downward…

are any of you guys going to comment on my other post about my next cycle : Test E, Dbol, Deca, Proviron.
