2.5 Years of TRT Not Working that Well

Correct, genetic plays a big part in it. TRT has unnatural spikes in testosterone which suppresses SHBG, natural testosterone doesn’t have any effect on SHBG levels. You have to play the hand you were dealt and adjust treatment accordingly.

This decrease in SHBG is an advantage for men with astronomically high SHBG and a disadvantage for men with SHBG on the lower end.

I can’t believe that nobody has asked this already, but on your “self induced” protocol, are you ordering your Testoterone UGL, or are you getting directly from a pharmacy?

I know that in some countries you can buy test straight from the pharmacy without a prescription, but if you are ordering your shit online…

ALL BETS ARE OFF!! You don’t even know for sure that your vial is consistent, much less the various dosing protocols you have tried.

Have you ever tried a lower dose than 175mg? I’ve said on another thread today but I’ve noticed that most of the guys that preach lower doses (closer to 100mg/week) are mainly the low SHBG guys. They just seem to feel better there and with less issues. I used to think the shbg thing was not really important until I started seeing these guys posting labs with low SHBG (mainly less than 30) and feeling best at a lower dose. Maybe it’s something to try?

Prolactin is your issue, you need a dopamine agonist. You probably have a small prolactinoma and the TRT made it worse, and thats why your ED started when you got on TRT.

Some Caber will fix you right up.

My prolactin is high and I have a hard on right now

Prolactin was around 500 before TRT too, tho.

doc sent me to MRI two times, found no prolactinoma!

What is that supposed to mean?

This made me laugh

Doesn’t mean you don’t have one. This is not rocket science guys. If your prolactin is high there are only 3 possibilities:

1: Drug induced prolacinemia

2: Prolactinoma

3: You are pregnant

So since you guys are so well versed in this, would you mind giving me a scenario besides one of these 3 where prolactin would be high in the human body?

I will wait.

Seriously you guys have no clue when it comes to physiology how on earth did you become doctors lol

I dont use any drugs, never done SSRIs. Im not pregnant lol. But how come they dont find any if they do two MRIs and nothing? Prolactin range was 83-326, I have around 500, so its not super elevated, does that gaurantee a prolactinoma?

It has to be drug induced or prolactinoma. No other possibility. PRL is not something the body usually uses, it is only for pregnancy.

What about increased prolactin from high TRH / thyroid issues?

are u sure about this? Cause ive read so many other reports on the net from people having my prolactin level and they have no prolactinoma.

So what are u gonna do then? If the doc dont find any prolactinoma, yet ur prolactin is increased, what to do?

Why is the thyroid having issues?

Because it’s a POS? Hell if I know. It happens.

Prolactinoma

Remember fellas a prolactinoma has to be undetectable before it is detectable. MRI only picks up tumors bigger than 3mm. They don’t just sprout and are automatically 3mm. These are things that take time. If the OP lets his PRL rage its only going to get worse, like a snowball effect.

Remember it is the tumor that is secreting the excess PRL. This is what I mean, PRL doesn’t just appear out of nowhere.

Now ask yourself this, since we know under active thyroids can increase prolactin, was it the thyroid that made the prolactin go up? Or was it the PRL that made the thyroid shut down?

Hmmm fair question. I wonder, is PRL suppressive? Have a good day fellas I have to head to the HS football game.

See ya later.

So can TRH increase prolactin or not?
