figured id keep a log to keep me accountable…lifting about 18 yrs or so. very consistant, i really never miss a workout unless im really sick or it cant be avoided.
father of an awesome 2yr old boy- just a great kid. mother and i split when he was just over 2 months, her choice, mostly due to post partum issues and some other stuff… lifting and lift was FUBAR for the first yr after, now its all good, except for work- my boss. i wont even go into it, work for a major insurance company. hit some good numbers in my younger days im looking to equal or pass in the next yr or so. ill be 45 in may and i lift with a crew of monsters in their 20’s…i gotta keep up, lol… best stats from this summer that im using as a benchmark- right now im about 215lbs and 15% bf.
summer- 5ft 8, 230lbs, 12% bf, 18.5 arms, neck- 50in chest
squat 315x1 recoving from an older rugby issue - leg broken in multiple places, reinjured
bench 395x1
close grip 380x1
deadlift 525
stiff leg 405x5
press 210x1
curl 135x5
just starting a new training block, 531 with jokers and back off sets, along with a run lift bang deadlift routine… rest of my group running The Cube…

Welcome here Bro but with the numbers you are posting it sounds like you can run with the young dogs. I stop by the 35 and over group every now and then but found I don’t belong here. You need to hear about guys lifting more then you are doing to give you some motivation; you may not find that here.
Just my opinion; light me up if your doing more then this dude.
Antknee,
Welcome and nice work, you seem to be very strong so that is always awesome, what is the deal with that squat though? Your Deadlift seems to be unaffected by the leg injury so is it more a matter of confidence (believe me I have been there) or is it something medical that may be long term and might affect you from now on? I’m only asking because I have a tendency to let injuries mess with my head, in sort of the reverse of you I have been squatting well enough but I am a bit timid on the Deads because of some back surgeries, so I was just wondering if that is what you’re dealing with or if you are mechanically unable to squat due to injury. Keep up the good work and Happy New Year.
