I am planning on starting my first cycle. I am 26 yrs old and have been lifting for two years. I weigh 177 lbs and I am 6’3" I also am a hardgainer. I estimate my body fat at around 10%. I work out 4 times a week following a upper/lower body split working antagonist muscles in each set ie bench press/barbell row. I consume 3000 - 3500 cal. a day. My cycle goal is to gain and keep 20lbs. Secondary goal is to build joint strength.
The cycle:
Frontload:
400 mg Deca
500 mg Sust
Week 1 - 6:
400 mg/wk Deca
500 mg/wk Sust
25 mg/ed Anavar
Arimadex .5 mg/eod
Weekend 3,6:
hcg 1000 iu
Post cycle:
Clomid 100 mg/ed 1 week
50 mg/ed 3 more weeks
If it makes sense I will extend to 8 weeks on and the hcg will be on weeks 4,8. I also have a couple of other question I would like someone to PM me about. Thank you for any responses.
i dont want to seem like an asshole but at 6’3 and 177 you have a lot more natural growing to do. forget about the aas and learn how to eat and train.
No offense taken. I have been only working out for two years. I gained 15lbs. in the first three months, but from there I have leveled out and have not gained anything for the next year and a half. I have tried a variety of lifting schedeules. My stength gets better, but I am unable to put on mass. Diet is of concern and I am comsuming over 3500 cal. and 300 grams of protein.
You need to learn how to make gains w/o anabolics before your start your first cycle. If you don’t learn to make gains w/o anabolics you’ll run into the same problem with them. You’ll make good short term gains, then you’ll stall and your gains will be jack shit no matter how many cc’s you inject every week.
Up your overall calorie intake by 500 calories a day and keep a food log so that you’re not bull-shitting yourself on how much you are eating. If you’re still not making gains up your overall caloric intake even more. Get at least 85% of your protein intake from various meats (i.e. don’t rely on “supplement” proteins). Avoid over-training like the plague. Sleep as much as possible.
Once you’ve added at least 25lbs of lean body mass then start thinking about your first cycle.
Good luck.
Agreed. Learn how to grow naturally before dipping into any AAS. Food can be the most anabolic thing you put into your body if you know how to manipulate your diet to FORCE your body to grow.
On a personal note, I was once 170 lbs too, at this height (6’1). I did my homework, and learned about caloric intake, carb manipulation, “good” fats, and what proteins worked best for me. I got into supplementation with creatine and others and naturally got my body up to 210 lbs.
It was only THEN that I started AAS. We all hit plateaus. Remember though, plateaus are part of the game.
Heres what you should do: focus hard on gaining the 25 lbs of mass. Set goals and time limits in achieving them for yourself. I was a hardgainer as well (started at 6’ 130 lbs and got all the way up to about 185- 190lbs at 6% bf before I realized I had plateaued) You will learn a lot along the way to reaching your natural goals that you can put to training while on AAS. Consentrate hard on evening out your physic. Train the week body parts like for example legs, calves, traps, so that everything matches and is symetric. If you do this now the weight you put on later on AAS will go in all the right places, because you have developed mature and symetric muscle and are using the same techniques to build it that you did before AAS. Also use the time to deepen your knowledge and understanding or steroids and pharmacology.
I kinda feel that if you’re anything over 6’ @ 10% bdfyt and not at least 200 lbs you’re doing yourself a diservice by running any real cycle. Have you tried mag-10? BTW the food log and other advice all should be considered too.
Thank you for the help. The cycle is still several months away as I do not have any gear. I will work on creating a food journal, trying to push things further naturally. Does the cycle itself have merit? I am planning on continuing my study of anabolics, but was curious where I stood.
