1st Cycle advice Test/Prop

So I want to start my first actual cycle and plan on running 500mg of test cyp with 300mg of test prop weekly. I know cyp is a longer ester (which I’ve been on 140mg of Cyp for over a year now split into 2 pins a week IM) and the prop is a shorter ester. Didn’t know if I would benefit from running them both together or if that is even a good idea? I already have my vials of test and prop. Llifetime natty bodybuilder until start of TRT. 36 yrs old, 5’10, 230lbs, 17-18% BF currently. Great bloodwork results every time.

you’re too fat to start a big cycle first of all. you’re closing in at self proclaimed 17-18% body fat, so realistically you’re around 25% body fat.

your insulin sensitivity will be fucked, you’ll aromatize more (convert into estrogen) and get fatter.

i’d cut down to 10-12% or to the point you have visible ab outline then start.

also, bad idea, you’re running 800mg of test for a first cycle? why different esters? i just dont understand? you will have to pin prop daily ideally.

just do 500 cyp and have an AI ready, research on managing estrogen, have arimidex or aromasin on hand.

keep prop for a cutting cycle if you want, not sure why you ordered it though.

This is a very common concern for using AAS. A large majority of members who respond to those who ask for AAS information, is that you should be fairly lean PLUS you are much fatter than you think you are. Here is where a pic of you would be helpful, plus it is interesting how varied the guesses of your percent body fat will be. I will have my guess too. IMO, it is just a number that nearly everyone is in search of a precise measurement, that is of very little value. I competed over 3 decades, about 3 contests a year and was never once asked by the judging panel what my percent body fat was.

All that said, I tend to believe that you should only use AAS if you are lean enough to see major muscle group separation throughout. That is how much my body composition stayed “off season.” I calculated backwards a couple years ago for this forum that I was about 15% body fat at 242lbs (6’0"). I competed at 218lbs.

So, the only personal experience that I have using AAS is at no more than 15% body fat (estimated).
