19 Year Old Australia, Symptoms of Low T

Also, the AI has helped me abit. It has decreased my rapid thought patterns and also my brain fog. I would say that if 10 is my worse, I went from 8/10 down to 6/10 with the AI. I still have to wait a week until i get the full effects. Dosing at 0.2mg EOD.

I can’t get IGF-1, TRH or GHRH atm. Endocrinologist is away on leave for a month. I may be seeing a Holistic Doctor soon, who is very, very open minded. I do not know how versed he is in TRT.

I am pretty sure now that testosterone is not my problem. I put the rest of the Axiron that I had left in the bottle (5 pumps, 2.5x recommended daily dose). Within the hour I started to have pretty crazy libido and frequent erections. My brain fog, cognitve dysfunction and fatigue did not improve. The Holistic is apparently awesome because he is now a GP, but he went thtough Chronic Fatigue Syndrome himself. So I should be seeing him within the next 2 months.

In a week’s time I will get my cortisol results back, and I will probably be put on adoptogens. (Don’t know which one’s, but some of them will be to improve sleep quality, such as Bacopa).

Manifestations of testicular failure: Pre-puberty

  • Small testes; Smal penis & prostate; Lack of scrotal rugae and pigmentation; eunuchoidal skeletal proportions; delayed bone age; high pitched voice

Manifestations of testicular failure: Post-puberty

  • female fat distribution; FEMALE ESCUTCHEON; decreased facial & body hair; no temporal hair recession; decreased muscle mass; gynecomastia; decreased libido; osteoporosis later in life

And then theres… Causes of male Hypogonadism
Primary hypogonadism: genetic/developmental

  • Klinefelter’s syndrome (most common) [High FSH + High LH + low T + infertility]
  • Androgen resistance
  • Enzymatic defects
  • Germinal cell aplasia
    ***Acquired:
  • Infection
  • Trauma
  • Radiation
  • Chemotherapy

Secondary male hypogonadism

  • Hypothalamic disease
  • Pituitary disease
  • Severe systemic illness

Pathways: GnRH (hypothalamus) ~> LH + FSH (anterior pituitary) ~> testosterone (LH stimulates testosterone synthesis)

My opinion:

  1. Just laying out some information that you might find useful but nonetheless, I don’t think you should be treatment planning yourself… If i were you I would check myself into a university based hospital and the best one that I can find at that. The Harvard equivalent in Australia I suppose.
  2. For endocrine disorders, I would not even bother seeing a GP until after diagnosis and treatment has already well undergone its way. Stick with the endos.
  3. If you really are going to persist on what you are currently doing, then can you please try to get a karyotype analysis (chromosome analysis) just to simply rule out Klinefelters? Make sure you don’t have an exta “X” in that XXY.
  4. You probably have a multi-systemic issue at play here… The undescended testicle/no hair and then you have the focusing issue… More than 1 specialty is definitely needed here.

I highly recommend option #1

I have an appointment with a endocrinologist in Novermber. He is a researcher based at the University of Adelaide and I will be using him as a second opinion. I think at the moment my body is doing ok with testosterone. Yes, testicles are small and I have pretty low TT, but my SHBG is dead low and free T is mid range. With a bit better diet and training this will go up a little more.

I can definantly see that there is going to be issues in the next 10-20 years, and I will be doing regular check ups for that.

I wish I pushed my current endo more. I was pretty out of it at that time.

I have a psychiatrist and an endocrinologist. Psychiatrist says I have had an anxiety disorder since 2010. It has dramatically imporved since then, but there are still problems here and there. I can fix these problems myself, but I need to divert what little energy have into other areas of my life at the moment. I actually fixed my own depression by self learning CBT. I can probably use the same principles for anxiety.

I do know that people with Klenfetler’s have pea sized testicles, this isn’t the case for me, mine are more like grapes. I will still get it done regardless.

Hey Shouk.

Can you post your CBC panel? Upload a picture of it, type it out, whatever you prefer.

My brain fog, cognitive dysfunction and fatigue did not improve.

  • these things take time as brain function and thought patterns need to evolve.

Ok so another update. I took the cream in the morning. But the end of the night my anxiety was much lower, i was REALLY happy and unwanted to go out? I went to a physics lecture, and it was actually the first time in months that I could focus throughout the whole lecture and understand everything. I could actually concentrate adequately.

My gut instinct is that my cognitive issues are mostly biologically based because I am a calm person, even though I act the same when I had anxiety. I am good at hiding how I feel, and feel my psychiatrist doesn’t know this.

KSman, do you mean that is like need prolonged treatment of test for that to improve? Or are you implying something else?

I will get my CBC up soon. In line with my previous CBC, my total white feel count was 4.4 (4-11). My lymphocytes and total white cell count has always been right at the bottom of the range. Is this indicative that my bodily is continually fighting something? I will post it when I get on a computer.

Hi guys. It has been a while. Just been busy with stuff.

I have gotten back rT3 as well as my other thyroid results.

rT3 497.5 (121 - 591)
TSH 1.54 (0.35 - 5.50)
fT4 16.2 (9.0 - 25)
fT3 5.4 (3.5 - 6.5)

CBC from endocrinologist

HAEMOGLBIN 166 (130-180)
RBC 5.61 (4.6 - 6.5)
PCV 0.48 (0.4 - 0.55)
MCV 85 (80 - 99)
MCH 29.6 (27.0 - 32.0)
RDW 13.3 % (11-15)

WHITE CELL COUNT 4.9 (4-11)
Neutrophils 3.4 (2-8)
Lymphocytes 1.2 (1-4)
Monocytes 0.2 <1.1
Eosinophils 0.1 <0.6
Basophils 0.1 <0.3
PLATLETS 163 (150-450)

Saturation 21% (20-50)
Ferritin 87 (30-400)

My does for AI atm is 5 drops every day. Equalivent to maybe 0.15mg every day of arimidex. I have lost water weight and my mood has stabilized.

I received my cortisol and DHEA-s results back as well.

Cortisol
07:20 17 Target range (25)
1200 18 Target range (15)
1845 12 Target range (5-10)
2200 9 Target range (<5)

DHEA-s 5.3 (0.7-9.4) the lab lady on the phone said that a male at my age should really have this up around 8-9.

So it looks like my cortisol is really out of whack. Probably explains the problems with sleep quality. I’ll be taking reversatrol and phosphatidyl serine for the next 50 days to see how i fare from that. I’ll be taking phosphatidyl serine at night because it has been shown to decrease cortisol levels (600mg every day) and 400mg of reversatrol.

I am also taking adrenotone, which is supposed to help with my cortisol levels to re adjust to the more desirable pattern of highest cortisol in the morning, and low cortisol in the evening.

I am also striving to think strictly in the present, and clear my mind of thought in general. I am pretty calm atm, but it wouldn’t be bad if I still reduce any possible stress further.

I am also trying to lose some bf (trying to get down to around 10-12%. I have never been below 15 and I am currently around 15-16 so I am hoping that I can do it. If I can fix my cortisol then I might have a chance. And if cortisol is fixed up, and I still can’t lose weight, and still have issues with libido/erectile function consistency then I think that testosterone therapy may be the only answer.

Currently I am taking:
Vit D 10000IU
Zinc 40mg
Vit C 1000 mg
ALCAR 2000mg
Propionyl Carnitine 2000 mg
Iodine 500 mcg

I will not be able to get GHRH or TRH any time soon. My thyroid function seems pretty good.

Symptom wise:

  • Energy has gone up in the morning. Though after around 11-12 I lose the gained energy and feel like my old self again.

  • I can concentrate on work a little better, and my length on concentration has increased a bit. (I attribute this to the AI because this was an immediate effect after my first does of the AI).

  • I have energy to work out again, and I am now working out 4 days a week with twice a week sprints.

  • Morning wood is better, though some days I don’t get it.

  • Libido is inconsistent. Last week I went without masturbating or orgasm for 8 days voluntarily. I didn’t even attempt to not masturbate, it just never can to my mind. I still got with a hell damn hot girl though. Shame I don’t really have the urge …

  • Brain fog is still pretty damn bad. Still worse then what is was before taking modafinil. I am really spaced out and forgetful. With the increased energy in the morning, the brain fog is manageable. Energy and brain fog are to me, to separate identities.

  • I crash around 1-4 pm and I am extremely tired here. I get a little bit more energy afterwards but it’s downhill from there. I have all my energy in the morning. This is a sign of improvement because I didn’t have energy, period.

After 11-12 regardless, I feel really shit and can not really function properly.

Honestly, if my libido and erectile function was really good, and my energy levels are consistently up during the day, then I’d be probably able to deal with the bad brain fog. I am a pretty determined person.

I have found that long term use of propionyl l carnitine and acetyl l carnitine can be just has effective as testosterone supplementation (study has limitations).

It may not work and more research has to be done on these compounds, but it’s my best bet to get my libido and erectile function up without dealing with injecting testosterone.

I do think that I can get access of testosterone from my old doctor (the first doctor who found my testosterone deficiency, and who prescribed me sus 250). If I can get test undeconate from him (Nebido/Reandron) then that maybe an option. I still have his 2 testosterone sus 250 prescriptions in my room.

This is of course if I need testosterone.

Anyway, what do you guys think?

Ok guys I am on TRT. I took a Sus 250 shot two days ago. Defiantly have more energy and motivation. This will improve as this week goes on, its only bee 30 hours since injection.

My brain fog is still there. I purpose that during adolescence, my low T caused my anxiety because I didn’t have the ability to handle situations. This lead to chronic stress and anxiety, which has manifested itself in brain fog as well as poor sleep quality.

I am talking this supplement called adrenoTone, which is purported to help with improving cortisol numbers (I do now know how substantiated this is). I also feel much quicker now, like my memory issues are improving.

I think also that even a week I had anxiety simply because of my low T and my diagnosis and treatment of it. I really don’t have that anxiety anymore, which help me with sleep quality etc.

So after this shot finishes (2 weeks), I am going to get on Nebido (testosterone undeconate). It’s a 1000mg test injection and is supposed to last 12 weeks, but most users inject every 8 weeks.

The first injection is 1000mg, then they do another injection at 6 weeks with 1000mg in order to get levels up, then injections continue every 8 - 10 weeks after that.

I can’t get onto test e because doctor is suspicious that I am doing this for bodybuilding purposes (which is ridiculously, no logical sense here), so I ill never be able to do self injections with this doc.

I won’t be on hCG, but I don’t really care for that at the moment. My balls are really small anyway so I’ll doubt they’ll shrink much more.

Energy crashes: Might this be from low blood sugar? Would be interesting to have a blood glucose meter and check when you feel crashed. Some link to your BF lowering attempts. Try eating protein for breakfast, eggs and cheese; and note effects.

rT3 is up a bit and rT3 is up a little to compensate. How are your body temperatures lately?

Body temps are perfect. I am actually starting to sweat now in workouts, this never happened before. I have been eating around 6-8 eggs every morning for breakfast the last 1-2 weeks. I think it’s more just my cortisol fucking around.

I am feeling better and better. I am leaning up and have lot’s of energy. My anxiety has gone way down, and I am really happy. My brain fog is still very bad though. I am much sharper though!

Ok so it’s been 8 days and I am starting to feel worse again. My libido is disappearing, fatigue is increasing and my anxiety is also increasing. I am feeling worse. It’s obvious that my natural production is shut down, and the sus shot is not enough.

I am going to go in this week to talk with the doc, and see if I can get on reandron 1000.

There is an injection done at 0 week, 5 week and every 8-10 week after that, so I am hoping that will be better then what I am on now. Of course, it’d be better if I was on 200mg test every week but doc is stupid.

Sucks because I just met someone and I don’t really need these ups and downs at the moment.

Hi guys. It’s been a long time so it’s time to give an update. After my last post I started in nebido/reandron. It has really been a god send for my libido. All my problems with lust, asexuality, more erectile dysfunction, no morning wood has gone. My body temps are normal but my brain fog and fatigue has not changed. I am very happy I’m in TRT as it really has helped me with me being with my girlfriend.

However it’s important to try to removes these major symptoms I have had my entire life. I have bought 50mg tablets of iodoral and will be expecting to receive them in the mail within the few days. I’ll be dosing at 50-199mg for a while and will probably expect detox symptoms in the process. I have read many people who have had improvements in mental function, regardless of hypothyrodism or not, on high dose iodine, so I’m hoping it may have some benefit for me.
