Some people say sumo is cheating at deadlifting, but it sounds like you found a way to take it to another level and cheat at sumo.
That’s how you become great. Didn’t add the other thing cause it’s not something you can do. I think I’ve said it here before My arm span is 6" longer than my height. Not many with that advantage.
Seems like you were born to set deadlift records.
I really feel like you should be struggling to bench 205 just to make up for it or life isn’t fair!
He has telescopic arms like Inspector Gadget.
The future of Powerlifting. Body segment length adjustability surgery
Unfortunately what’s good for one lift is bad for another. If I had short arms I might bench mid 400s but then I’d probably pull only upper 600s.
Forgot to add today’s Bench session up to paused double at 350 and single at 370. Incline benched up to 245x8 and dB rowed up to 150x8. I’ll add the bench clips to this post tomorrow. I’m dead tired.

It’s worth the tradeoff for your total though. I’m impressed with your bench considering your long arms, not many guys built like you can bench some decent weight. 400 at 181 is not bad at all.
Well I was about 190 at the time and that was in the gym tng.
What is your best paused bench?
For me t&g and paused is about the same, I think I might be able to bench a couple pounds more with a pause.
My best paused in the gym was 385 and best paused in comp is 375. I have about a 15 lb difference between tng and paused
Had a late night last night. Bodyweight was a bit down at a hair under 193. Squatted a top set of 455x9, first time I can say I had nothing left lol. Deadlifted after that up to 535x6 plus 200 lbs of bands fairly smoothly. Made a thing to hold small bands on there you’ll see in the clip when I add it. Was having a problem with heavy dumbbells lifting and rolling

Got word from a buddy the first fed I ever completed in (wnpf) is having a deadlift only comp Feb 23. No weight class, winner decided by wilks. I am fairly sure I’m going to enter and hopefully pull something big.
Didn’t get a lot of sleep last night. Went in today and just did a cluster set of singles I think it’s called. 340 paused then racked for 15 seconds then go again. I did 3 and it wasn’t easy but had longer pauses. Gave up after 3 and went to let me buddy go then said f it and did 2 more. Just not that great of a day. Bodyweight was also only 192. I need to eat and drink more water.
I did something like that recently and added 15lbs to my bench, which was going nowhere for a while. What I did you can call rest pause singles, I started with about 90% and did as many singles as possible until either I fail or I know I definitely can’t get another one, rest 30-45 sec. between singles. Each week add 5lbs. and increase rest periods so that you can get a decent number of singles in. At the end I just went for 2-3 singles with about 3 minutes rest because I was close to a max, I benched 390 at the end and failed 395 the week after but I was fatigued and obviously not properly peaked, I think I could have managed 400-405 if I was adequately prepared based on how 380-390 moved. If your bench isn’t moving and you’re looking for something different you could try this for a couple months, apparently Jim Williams used to train like that at times.
By the way, how’s your elbow doing? My left elbow was bugging me for a while, I tried CBD oil and it did help but didn’t totally fix it. Right now my elbow feels like it’s back to normal, aside from giving the maximal weights a break and cutting out JM presses (I think those may have been the main cause) I started wearing elbow sleeves when I bench and also doing lots of band pushdowns. I do a few sets as a warmup before I bench and also some “heavier” ones as an assistance exercise, for whatever reason those make my elbows feel better. I have heard other people recommending them for elbow pain in the past, after trying them myself I would say it’s worth giving it a shot.
Thanks I might give it a try and my elbow is 100% good again. I did cbd oil round the clock to keep inflammation down and had to drop the weight a good amount. I would take it in the morning am hour before I hit the gym and then before bed and occasionally after my workout. Ran through a bottle quick but it really helped get me back. My knee is maybe 90% right now. And I’m back to only taking cbd when I need it. Also I use 500 mg for pain don’t know what youve tried.
Doing the mock meet in the powerlifting section. But not using all out maxes. Squatted a single at 525 today which is 70 lbs over the most I’ve squatted since getting hurt 2.5 months ago. Definitely more there when peaked considering my 455x9 set like 3 days ago. Probably going to bench 375 ish and shoot for a 735 pull after max reps at 670

You mean that the container is 500mg, right? 500mg in one dose is a huge amount, 30mg is supposed to be an effective dose.
I had two different CBD things, one was capsules that were supposed to contain CBD in powder form, I bought that from one of the weed dispensaries that were all over the place here until recently because the government’s online store sold out. I also got CBD oil in an MCT oil base from the government store. The capsules were 20mg each so I took two at a time, the oil was 55mg per ml but it was a spray bottle so based on what they said I needed about 6 sprays to get a little more than 30mg. I think the bottle was 800-something mg’s in total, it cost over $100 too, not cheap at all.
I only took CBD in the evening, an hour or two before bed. I wouldn’t want to take that before training because it really made me feel sleepy, I would have to take extra caffeine if I was going to lift or go to work. It seems like it would work real good for any sort of chronic pain because my elbow and any other minor aches were totally fine once the CBD kicked in but in the morning I could feel that same tension in my elbow. One thing though, it made me sleep really good, and I didn’t feel drowsy in the morning or anything. Before that my sleep patterns were a bit messed up, during the week I have to get up at 7 so I can get my kids off to school and I was having trouble sleeping at night now and then. On the weekends there were plenty of times that I went to bed early, like 9pm or even earlier, and then slept until 10-11 the next day. Seems like the CBD got my sleep back on track.
How much does CBD oil cost where you are? I get the feeling that they are selling that stuff for too expensive over here, the funny thing is that you can get high-CBD weed for a cheaper price per amount of CBD but then you would have to smoke a big spliff every night. It’s not really my thing these days.
