Working on my house is killing me. I called it early today (Sat) but only cause I was supposed to meet some one so they could take some stuff o was giving away. They canceled after I got there. Did the football bar bench 310 for doubles which I can’t remember but I think my best is not much more maybe 325. Since I called it early I’ll be hitting more chest sun to make up for it.

Yesterday was my deadlift / squat day. Took off work to clean my backyard. I got it all done but I got home took my preworkout and said f it im relaxing. I’ve only ever mixed preworkout for the gym and not gone like 10 times ever. It just doesn’t happen, but I had nothing in me last night. Woke up this morning at 5 and figured I’d hit the gym before work cause I had stuff to do tonight. Legs felt tired but somehow managed a 20lb pr on deficit deadlift 1.5" with a stiffer bar and it was easy. Next pr I’ll run out of room on the bar and have to stand on something instead of using 35s

Thanks. It’s very hard to get one past the 4lb range
. Had a long day today, literally just stepped in the door at 9 at night. I overloaded the bed on my truck and the rusted bottom let out. So found one that matched and picked it up after work spent more time driving to get it than I did swapping the beds. All solid now. Figured I’d snap a shot of the old bed in my other truck (I recently sold to a buddy). Fully built 07 ram2500 5.9 ran 12.2 @112.6mph with a bad cylinder. Put a new long block in after that. It’ll spin all four tires from a stop for a few feet. I love that truck but had to grow up sometime.

Got some Slingshot bench in. Last raw warm up at 345x3 felt great too. No spot/lift off, still hit 3 with a rep left probably 2 had I got a lift off. Anyone notice a difference with shoulders benching flat foot vs on toes? I’m going to post on the powerlifting section but I definitely feel it increases arch and puts my shoulders in a better position.

Yea the only stuff Ive caught or the biggest has been in the 3-4 pound range. Need to get out more this summer. I used to live in Charleston SC so we had a bunch of runoff ponds that nobody fished that were eat up with largemouth. Some good times.

Had class then hit the gym. Got stuck waiting about 20-25 minutes for a rack. Finally got on one and didn’t notice I was rushing everything and got pretty tired out and everything moved like shit.

Legs were still beat up. Did more high bar squats today but called it a day after that cause I gotta work on my house. Weekends are the only time I get time.

Since I think I’m getting sick and haven’t missed a deadlift in as long as I can remember I said the hell with it and ripped up a 15 lb pr with some left.

Felt pretty good for how shitty I do feel. Definitely got a cold going right now. Still benched pretty good and feel it is due to switching back to on my toes. Think I said it before my shoulders have never felt better in the last 3 years.

I think I’m already getting over the cold. Glad it wasn’t bad. But squats and deadlift today, squats are feeling the worst at the moment but I’m also upping the volume a lot. Deadlift speed work moved great today.

Two weeks for the body to adapt to the new volume.

Upped volume on squats for about 5 weeks now. I hit heavy weight easy when I come in for singles almost daily but stalls quick in the mid 500s

Rough day today. Skipped lunch at work didn’t get enough water. Had class before the gym. Started good then my buddy left me hanging when I asked him for a spot on a lift I wanted to record also. 355x3 (raw) third rep came off the chest and lost power, not buried by any means but just wasnt there. That killed my Slingshot doubles and I just packed up and walked out.

Had a shitty day at work and must have ate something that was bad cause I felt like I wanted to throw up when I got to the gym and didn’t have anything big planned.
