Had to make today a quick day cause I’m doing some fishing with my neighbor. Couldn’t get on a bench so did a few reps with dumbbells and some weighed back extensions

Was squatting today didn’t know what I was aiming for weights felt heavy and I was a bit dehydrated from yesterday. Said the hell with it I’ll try 535x2 which is a 5lb pr even though I know a good day 545 double is there. Hit the first rep felt shitty so racked it. Both my buddies said I had two in me and shouldve hit it. Figured I’d go two the next time but told them to tell me if it moved like I wouldn’t get the second. Came up on that first rep thought no way was I hitting a double, they told me later they thought the same. Went down for the second rep and came up slow 3/4s of the way then managed to grind out the rest. All not the double I want but still a pr I’ll take.

Hit a heavy triple on close grip tng for a pr then switched to slingshot for a few sets. Some light dual pulley rows, a few sets of pull-ups and some incline db press for reps. Saturday I’m going to warm up and hit some more heavy weight with the slingshot and try for 395-400x3 and 415x2. I’ve been tiring myself out before hand so the weight for these slingshot feels pretty heavy.

Lower back was a bit sore today so took it easy aside from speed work for deads.

Speed Deadlift-we have 2 sets of 100lb plates I’m going to start using to cut down on whip.
245x6, 335x6, 445x3, 535x2, 565 for 6 sets of 1 40 seconds between sets. Didn’t move as well as I liked (still fast) but I think cause back is sore and legs a bit tired from that squat double the other day.

Woke up feeling like shit today. Supposed to attempt 730 dead tomorrow but going to see how I feel. Either way probably going to try.

Don’t feel 100% feel a bit sick don’t know how much it’ll effect me. Here is some close grip from the other day.

Had Max Deadlift today. 730 gave it two attempts first one I didn’t hold very long. Second one I held longer and if they weren’t locked they were very close. I’ll put up a video in a day or two. Wish I had a side view but only recorded from the front. Used 100s for the first two plates and felt like it made it more stable.

Thanks guys. Those 585 sets were a killer. Probably couldn’t have hit one more set. I actually didn’t want to do them but told myself I need the practice with heavy weight

Long day at work which I’ve got a few coming up in the next few weeks so that will suck. Feeling better but not great managed to pause a pr on bench not a long pause but god enough.

Don’t know if I can have allergies after these pollen is gone but since walking in the woods over the weekend its felt that way. Did reverse band squat today. Wanted better numbers but have to remember I pulled a lot two days ago. Followed it with two singles paused no band. Did some light work after that, some ghr, and leg curl and extension crap and dual pulley rows.

Should have stayed home today too. Terrible day, wanted to do speed work on deads cause I missed it yesterday and 605 moved like it was 705. Started with close grip bench since it was supposed to be a bench day. Worked to 315x3 paused pulled and said the hell with it and left. Need to get done being sick. Think I’m about 7weeks from the comp I planned
