Probably one of my better pulls at 795+. Think I’ve done 800 once and this is the second pull ever at 795. Other one was technically 794.5. Happy I can dial it all back next week.
Knees and back feeling great. I have to make sure I’m bumping up the weight when the Adduction,Abduction machine isn’t burning up my legs. 2 sets each before squat. I was not getting my legs to burn and the knee pain was coming back trying to add in leg accessory work. Now it seems to be ok. Testing out a short volume phase only like 3 weeks then gonna taper it on squats and leg press. Maybe go for a heavy double in the next 4-5 weeks. Not on here much so I probably repeat a lot of the same stuff about fixing my knee pain but a lot of it is trial and error.
Squat feels great. Along with a heavy double coming up I might be aiming for a pr single before the end of the year. Also I believe im into something with cluster Deadlifts instead of top rep sets. I’m getting the same volume in but the reps are basically staying the same speed from start to finish. Easier to recover from week to week. Pulled 8 singles tonight at 645 on a week 2, felt really good.
I always found songles were the way to go for DLs
Believe it or not, calf work will help alot with keeping the knees healthy
Like clockwork my body let me get just strong enough to hurt itself. Squatted 541x4 today. Small pop on the last rep. Lower back locked up a bit after. We’ll see how this goes

It’s healing but not really fast. I pushed the Paused squats hard a few days before. Mightve had something to do with it. I need to try to keep the intensity down on my secondary days.
Picked up a lightly used belt squat machine for my house yesterday, even though I don’t train much at home.
Ordered a titan adjustable bench and a ghd for the basement. Looking to order a combo rack in the coming weeks to months. I’ll probably get bored and pull the trigger randomly one night. Tomorrow is bench day.I think I’ll push into the low 400s again soon
You should try using a light pair of squat briefs for awhile to help the hips heal up. It would let you be able to squat and not beat the hips up so bad
My hips aren’t beat up. Lower back was. It’s been about 3 weeks and was able to load 410 for an easy 4. But not pushing it. I switched to a wider stance to give it a more serious shot. Last time knee pain forced me back to narrow but I have that fully under control now.
Wider squat stance feels pretty good. I’m actually cutting 2.5”off the rom. About 10% from my usual closer stance. Worked up to 470x6 today. Probably gonna drop it back next week then up to 496 range the following week for a set of 4-6.
Pushed it a little. Hit 496x6 on squat last week. This week I’m gonna drop it back a bit then continue.
Benched my heaviest single without a spot today at 400. Low hype. As long as I an aware of my elbow position and pulling them in there is no shoulder issues. I think I’ll be seeing 420+ by April. Let’s see if I can build enough to want to compete this year. 1800 should not be that difficult to hit at 198
Figured I’d mention it for those who see this. Sabo deadlift shoes are cheap now because they are rebranding. I prefer their shoe in the gym. Might not get your size in the color your looking for but could save a good amount on the shoes.
Had some tension building in my left shoulder/pec. Could feel it a little benching but not crazy bad. Wouldn’t go away with the normal rolling and exercises I do to fix it. Used a small battery powered cup and put it in the crease in the shoulder/bicep/pec area. When it was done the bruising was black but took all the tension from the area. Feels 100% now. Took bench easy this last week but I’ll be adding the cupping in for recovery now.
Switched my squat shoes back to Adidas powerlifts. Lower heel than the Nike romaleos. Feels real good. I made three switch a while back when I had the knee issues. Thinking my 10+ year old shoes were part of the knee pain. Squat just feels so much better with the lower heel.
Benched 401 today. No spot, felt great. Possibly loading 410 tomorrow. Gonna see how I feel. Was only going to load 380-390 but 380 moved well so I went up.
Shoulder felt about 95% from last night’s bench. I felt it out and everything was moving well. Warm up singles were 325,360,386 and top single was 410.5. Moved really well. Was all kgs with 2 1 lb plates on cause I couldn’t get the small kg plates. Bench feels strong and shoulder pain hasn’t been an issue since pulling my elbows in and cupping 1-2 times a week. This was a 2.5-3 lb life time pr for me.
