17, Test Results

She’s using a placebo to ward you off. But since you’re 17, it could be good. You should wait for a year at least and re check your levels. They maybe recovering.

Well,it doesn’t really do anything except waste more money. I will go the that endo again in a week and Tuesday I got an appointment with the second one again after my thyroid lab results come.

Have been checking my body temperature, it’s 36.4 and 36.5 C at 8pm which is about 97.7 Fahrenheit. Will update with morning temperature. Morning temperatures are 35.9 (96.6) and 36 (96.8) celsius. This is kind of disturbing, I will start iodine today at 50mg

The thyroid lab this endocrinologist wanted came.
T3 - 0.80 nh/ml in a 0.6-1.82 range
TSH- 2.2 in a 0.51-4.94 range, too much and my body temperatures are low but ofcourse its within the lab range and doctors won’t do shit
Anti-TPO 33.5ui/ML in a >35 range. Anyway this endocrinologist knows nothing. I asked about my testosterone results and she said 170 total testosterone is perfectly normal for my age and I took the test at the wrong clinic. (wrong=not hers) and that I should redo the same tests. No FH, no FSH, not even free testosterone. What is wrong with these endocrinologists, how do they become doctors?
Anyway my total cholesterol levels are pretty low (110 in 150-200 range) and since that is where testosterone is formed from, I am thinking that I should increase my fat intake. Doubt it would make a huge difference but progress with doctors is slower…

You have some thyroid issues going on! Possibly will develop hashimoto’s later on if that antibodies test is to go by. Your endo’s are useless but it’s the norm. I’m scared to shit with the doctors these days with horror stories like this.

I think you should find a doc for thyroid before testosterone right now. You need to make this okay, I would think T levels would rebound by itself to an extent with you fixing thyroid problems. Your diet needs the biggest change. Eat loads of fat, take vit-d supps.

The biggest challenge remains the doc, given what docs have said so far, they’re all idiots and lack empathy. However, when you find one who is willing to hear you out with patience and shows some understanding, you need to discuss how you’ve educated yourself about your problems and what blood tests mean to appropriately interpret the results and it’s not in your head. My current doc told me also that total test seems okay so you’re good, but he wanted to know my symptoms and help me! Then we got down to figuring this out, if I was passive even this doctor who’s good would have sent me away. You need to be persistent to a degree, hopping clinics would not do much for you.

Get all your labs, including LH FSH shbg e2 from a pvt lab if you have to and present your case. Getting treatment for problems which cannot be evident to the doctor is a tiring process. It’s like getting investment for a business you have not yet established but have a vision in your head for it. Which is sad but what else can we do? Doctors think we need to have ostereoporosis, T levels which are close to zero, bad lipid profile and metabolic syndrome for us to NEED treatment, which is what is published in the journals and associated with low T. Doctors have completely rubbished my complaints and possibility of hypogonadism just by looking at me and seeing some muscle and facial hair on me and telling me it can’t be a problem for a guy my age. Which I bought until I educated myself.

Are you still eating very little? Not getting any protein and fat in your diet?

Some of your symptoms sound more like the side effects of sever depression.

Thank you, unfortunately my parents listen to whatever doctors say and don’t really understand things. but they are helping me and atleast believe in my simptoms. I went to all the endos from my town and only 1 might do something about helping me, I am going tomorrow to this one and maybe some things start going right. Lately I’ve been having really rought sleeping problems where I wake up 5 hours after sleeping and can’t go back and my hunger has been rough. I started eating a lot more without counting my calories for a few days, kind of a binge…

THe doctors are such a waste of time, I even printed medical information about values and symptoms, and she just said “you’re 17, YOU WANT HORMONES? your levels are fine, it’s in your mind, oh and btw go retake the same tests you took (total test) at MY clinic”. I am thinking about other people living in misery after getting bad treatments or getting ignored and it makes me wonder why this is happening.

I’ll increase my fat intake a lot and I already supplement with vit D,calcium, magnesium and zinc but I think it will be hard to undo 6-7 months of no fat crash diet without some hormonal replacement help. If this doctor is unhelpful too I think I will go to the only anti-aging clinic in this country and see what happens there, I AM TIRED OF BEING TIRED.

No, I have been bulking for 3 months now on a high protein high carbs diet. I don’t really feel depressed, just tired and unmotivated, no thought about self harm or that kind.

This might not help at all but have you had a sleep test? Some of your symptoms mirror my grand dads sleep apnea

Update:
Testosterone: 320 (160-1100ng/dL)
Free Testosterone: 6 (5-45 pg/mL)
FSH: 2.7 (1.6-7.2 mIU/mL)
LH: 1.8 (1.5-8.7 mIU/mL)
Estradiol: 15 (< 32pg/mL)

Looks like secondary hypogonadism to me. I also found a doctor that is actually willing to help me and the difference was that this doctor is a man, not a female. Not trying to be a sexist but expecting an old female to understand what this feels like was not a good idea. He is willing to treat my symptoms even I am in that range but here the only treatment is Nebido.
I am thinking of doing Nebido on a 7 or 8 week interval because 10 might be too much.
The usual protocol found in the sticky is not possible for me, my parents wouldn’t understand why I am buying those steroids and what I am doing with them and they still pay for me.

I could probably get a few vials of Test E or C to “kickstart” the nebido in the first shots or at the end of the final weeks of nebido to keep things up. I’ve heard some good things about Nebido but Ksman doesn’t seem to like it that much(I might be wrong)? and he knows better so in the future I will look into sources of other esters.

My temperatures have improved since using iodine but testosterone is still low.

I know I might be rushing into this too fast but it has been affecting my entire life for too long and I don’t see what else could be.My school grades are starting to fall, my relationships are pretty much nonexistent since I have no interest in girls (there’s this girl that likes me and is pretty but god damn I just don’t feel anything towards any of them and I am too much of a pussy to do anything) and I also want to finally have some gains at the gym, it might be just in my mind but going to the gym at these levels makes me feel that it’s just a waste of time.

I will have to monitor my E2 levels but from what i’ve been reading since I am young I shouldn’t need an AI. Hcg might be useful but I am not sure I can get it from my doctor, will have to see.
RBC HCT count is pretty low right now so I don’t really think I will have to donate blood anytime soon.
SO my next plan is to get on Nebido, monitor my testosterone levels in the 1 week, the 6th week, 12th week and when my next shot will be, if it is in a good range then no change. If it is too low, I will tlak with the doctor about taking more frequent shots and if he says no, I will start self-injecting 100mg TestE/C when my t-levels start to drop.

Now after the long discussion, you have got your labs, you should definitely try a SERM restart! You are young and secondary , there’s a good chance that you may not need TRT. TRT without hCG and AI is not a good idea, and you know that nebido is not an ester to provide the optimal treatment.

At 17, or anyother age but especially being so young, an hpta restart attempt is a must in my opinion. If your doc is helping you out and listening, I would ask about it and print out evidence of clomid works in secondary patients, you can then print out the hpta restart thread from the stickies and ask his views on it. If that fails, you can go to TRT and you won’t have regrets about it later. It’s always better to stand on your own two feet rather than on injections to feel normal.
