Crossing the border from Canada into the US is a pain. From the US into Canada is easy.
Crossing European borders doesn’t even require slowing down.
How can people not see the problem?

Yeah, but we are only allowed to make 80 miles per hour…
Fascists!

That’s no big deal imo. The thing I notice is a more agressive police culture.

In the US 18 year olds are allowed to go to Afghanistan and risk life and limb.
I will bet in Austria all an 18 year old is allowed to do is drink beer.
Thank the founding fathers for the 2nd amendment or the US would be in real trouble.

Well an 18 year old can drink, fuck, vote and own a gun.

I’m not sure but something about the 13,000+ post count and the join date is suspicious. I think Zeb may be more than one guy or someone that posted a long time ago (but still without 13,000 posts) as isn’t that number something that comes up when someone is an old member that hasn’t posted in a long time?

@Zeb - Your condescension marks you as a learned and social/politically active man. Thanks for humoring us.
Me, I’ve contacted my local PD, Staties and actual legislators.
For this, my family and I have been threatened, and I’ve been assaulted.
So please, sir, take your “laughter” and shove it all the way up your pompous ass.
Thanks for proving my point. Once again you are a tough talking message board warrior “shove it up your ass Zeb.” But…of course when it comes to trying to actually make a change you run and hide when pushed a little. This is exactly what I’m talking about.
Thank you.
In what way am I “running and hiding?” I have contacted the appropriate LEO supervisors, news outlets, AND local, city and state legislators to address the problem I, and my friends and family, have experienced with crooked law enforcement.
And in doing so have taken a pistol whipping, cracked ribs, and multiple threats on my life and on my family.
What have YOU done, ZEB? I’m “talking tough?” That wasn’t tough talk, that was responding directly to your condescension. See, when a man sees the need to be an asshole, he doesn’t have to talk down to anyone, because it shows his lack of faculties.
What have YOU done, ZEB, to improve the country, your city, or your town? Be straight, or stop talking about things beyond you.
I was commenting about two things; the first is the whining. Okay you complained and took a beating for it, big deal. \
yes that is a big deal if, in fact, he was beaten by said police that he was having problems with. given different circumstances non lawful sure taking a little beating no big deal. But to receive a beating from those that are meant to protect you how do you find that ok?
Where did I say it was okay? Go back and reread my post then comment intelligently.

Trolling? How dare you make such a suggestion. Does the entire thrust of what I’m saying escape you? Do you have any idea of what our forefathers went through in order to gain freedom? Why is it that you and some of the others on this thread assume that freedom is handed to you with no cost? Have we fallen that far? If we lose our freedom in the US it will be because of the comfort zone that you and people like you have fallen into. It is every Americans duty to ensure freedom for himself and his fellow Americans. If you think that’s trolling then you are clueless as to the price of freedom!

You are a disgusting empty minded little whiner. Please ignore my posts you don’t deserve to read them.
This type of trolling really should be limited to PWI. Shit like this will get a good thread like this one banished there in no time.

So when you’re losing an argument or just don’t have anything productive to say call troll. Classic move for a punk like you.

ZEB, I actually do agree with what you said. However, having grown up in MA and having moved to Chicago 4 months ago for med rotations, I can tell you that things don’t work how they’re supposed to in nanny states/cities. You can write all you want but things will never change in places like this. I honestly don’t plan on sticking around the states at all once I’m a doc and if I do, I’ll gladly live in a place like Montana or North Dakota. Hell, we joke around with and make fun of the Canadian med kids here but I would gladly live in Canada over what the future US is heading to.
I walk around in a state of amazement at how shitty this city is. Even the nice parts up north are nothing like what they should be. My hospital is in the south side so I see quite possibly the most repulsive patients I have ever seen…to the point where I question what I’ve gotten myself into. But it’s not just the patients…we routinely interact with the CPD idiots who bring pts in. Every “officer” is easily 50lbs overweight and I honestly doubt they even have high school diplomas. So I guess I’m not surprised they want to cover their asses when they break the laws they’re SWORN to protect. It’s THAT bad here.
I’m speechless about the level of crap that lives here; dunno what else to say.

Lasting effects of an apartheid state.
Every major city and most cities and towns have segregation along very clear lines that have changed a little over time.
The result of social, legislative (on the local, state and federal level), and economic segregation.
Now we have a police force and legislative structure charged with the tacit charter of enforcing an awful status quo by whatever means necessary.
We don’t need reparations we need repairations. Repair crumbling physical and social infrastructure in our nations ghettoes!

No, he was here before they even really had forums, just a letter bag and just as condescending. He just moved to PWI and hasn’t been seen much here in recent years.
