I am assuming your trying to point something out with this thread, what is it you are trying to point out?
Actually, I’m not. I think you just found out you were wrong.
Dune and Kurosawa.
Americans use words even though they don’t know what they mean. And when you tell them the meaning, they say you’re wrong.
Among other things.
What do you think I’m trying to point out?
lol… I asked you first.
Yes you did. Again, how do you interpret my post? Do you think I’m calling out someone?
Fully agree and thanks for posting the video; I only wish it had the whole speech.
It was captivating and very persuasive to the point of being scarily realistic.
Germany (and all of Europe) have made some terrible mistakes. Some sort of unfavorable reaction is inevitable, and I would not be surprised if someone like Hitler watches this movie as a “how to”.
Well, already in some countries (Belgium, France…) a recent phenomenom of a well-disciplined block of Muslim voters can tip the scales in local and national elections.
This is turns mean that traditional Arab antisemitism is openly tolerated by mainstream political parties in order “not to upset the Arabs” (fun fact: when Allied troops invaded North Africa in 1942 Nazi antisemitic laws implemented by Vichy remained in place for that very same reason).
On the other hand, anti immigrant rhetoric provides a gateway to the mainstream for extreme ideologies emanating from the right, including old school antisemitism as can be seen in the east of Germany through AfD.
So it’s a double whammy.
If I knew the answer I wouldn’t have asked the question. I don’t have an agenda behind it. But you can answer it or not. I thought I cared when I asked it but I don’t anymore so…
