I started 40mg dbol about 11 days ago. I’m on TRT for which I increased the dose to 250mg weekly. I gained about 15 pounds of water weight, but my strength is not increasing. The only thing I can figure, and either way this is lack of foresight on my part, is I didn’t increase calorie intake to match my increased weight. I was making good natural gains before starting the dbol. I increased my caloric intake in the last 5-7 days, but feel like I’m playing catch-up. I’m 5’9" 186 and was around 170 before starting the increased TRT dosage and dbol.
Incidentally, I worked on lowering my high e2 before starting this cycle and got estradiol to <5 (pg?). I figured my e2 would have no problem rebounding on my current regimen without adex. Hopefully, lowered e2 isn’t part of the issue though.
Why… would you do this??? Furthermore, why do you care about strength if you’re clearly making progress. Strength gain isn’t a be all end all gauge of making progress, especially within a bodybuilding perspective
You likely have sky-high Estradiol since you stopped the anastrozole. You should get E2 tested and go on a low dose while on this cycle; at least 1/4 tab every 3 days (You may need more)
Recommending people take powerful, powerful drugs intended to treat ER positive breast cancer is a risky, risky game.
Chances are, given hepatic function/bf% is on point, that his E2 will be directly in proportion with blood concentration of androgen. 250mg rest 40mg dbol isn’t entirely good grounds for the use of an ai… I will say this though, 40mg dbol is a high dose, and perhaps if unwanted side effects are occurring… rather than push more drugs at the issue, he should lower the dose of dbol.
You can’t possibly think it’s good to crush E2 to 5pg/ml… using AI’s will heavily exacerbate the effect of these compounds on his lipid profile, glucose tolerance, worsen AAS induced endothelial dysfunction and more… to use an ai for a cosmetic reason such as “but I look puffy”… tough shit, then use something else, dbol isn’t known to provide an aesthetically pleasing look
I’ve used 250mg test 20mg dbol without any issues at all. I did feel like shit after a while as the drug interferes with homeostasis regarding gut flora, thus I had heartburn 24/7, felt run down (systemic toxicity)… there was some bloating, though not significant, it was enough for me to think “hey, I’m retaining water”… I didn’t start downing anastrazole at that point though, all it would’ve done at that point would be a reduction in water retention
BP was 110/70, erectile function fine… energy was fine up until later on where I felt lethargic (not E2 related… hepatotoxicity related)
Thanks for the well thought out feedback. I lowered my e2 because it had gotten to the 90 range, not to avoid the poof. I’m looking to moderate between getting it to about 20-40 (pg?/ml).
How long before you started feeling lethargic? That’s one of the sides I’d like to mitigate by dosage/length of cycle, if possible.
I’d explain why trying to moderate E2 within physiologic ranges whilst pushing up androgen to vastly supra ranges isn’t a good idea but quite frankly I’m completely worn out this point and counting down the days where I can go back home, go back to gym and settle back into my old… far, far, far, FAR, far, far healthier lifestyle. I’m enjoying the fuck out of my time in Europe, but at this point my body is like “sjsudisnkaskskaj, give me sleep… adequate nutrition, stop abusing meeee”. The only thing I can afford to eat is like… Burger King or ramen noodles lol.
Regardless, for me lethargy set in around the end of week 2 (only ran for about 3 wks). Dose was 20mg daily, did bump to 30 for a few days and even 40mg for one day.
Tudca/liver support and antioxidant supplementation can mitigate this, but when I ran out of tudca I couldn’t afford to buy more as I spent my money on protein powder, healthy food to make at home (rice, salmon etc)
Weight is up well over 20 lbs of water, fat and maybe an ounce of muscle . Strength starting to increase, finally. Got at least 2 weeks left. I’m just trying not to get too fat.
