Yes, they’re both too weak.
The ratio is fine and honestly, I wouldn’t be too upset if it wasn’t, I just like to find ways to get stronger. Trouble is, I keep forgetting what ways work well for me and try to find new ones.

Ha! Fair enough. I always like the idea of training in the rain, or doing some grueling sandy beach workout or whatever when I’m sitting in a cushy chair. Then when I get there I realized why I do it so little lol
I’ve had some awesome sessions in the rain. You can really feel like a badass, but I have to be in the right frame of mind to do it.
I really wasn’t last night, just wanted to get the work I needed done.
So nothing is really off, then. Just go get bigger and fatter. I recommend tons of beer.
That’s what I’ve been doing!
You’re basically the pioneer for the Beer is Also Carbs diet. I am a fan.
I don’t really drink, will pizza work?
Work for today:
5 x 5 pull ups
V-ups 1 x 12, 2 x 11
Weigh in: 201.8lbs
Decent enough progress. Not exciting, but I didn’t really want it to be.
I was on wendlers private forum for a bit a while back
A lot of lifters there had great success with BBS with overhead press 10 sets of 5.
There’s a 3 month challenge and I think if done for a cycle or two you use FSL weights. Never done it 10 set of 5 is a lot of 5’s.
I was literally trying to find BBS the other day, with no luck. I knew I’d read it somewhere, I just couldn’t remember the exact percentages. Thank you.
The challenge by head is 4 cycles as I recall 70, 75, 80 and 85%
But I’m not sure, maybe on the jim wendler sub forum here.
Probably wouldn’t run 4 full cycles of it this year, although that might fit in well with my “peak” for Christmas. Worth giving it a try before then. I can probably try vanilla BBS by copying percentages from hard gainers template to be honest.
Work for today:
Squat:
5 x 70kg
5 x 90kg
5 x 100kg
5 x 112.5kg
Later:
V-ups x 12, 12, 11
Notes:
The 5/3/1 for hardgainers template on here uses BBS for press if you’re looking for it somewhere.
Weren’t you the guy bitching about your squat the other day? Because that’s a good set right there.
This is pretty normal. You’ll be able to get a solid enough brace with the bar on your back, but never as good as the unrack. Which is one reason a monolift is awesome.
The only other option is to maintain your brace from the unrack for the first rep, but this can involve holding your breath which can be counterproductive.
I resent the word bitching, but can’t really dispute it.
I do this anyway, normally. I can probably train myself to hold my breathe for a few more reps but it would be a long time before 5 reps is likely
How about aggressively manly whining.
I can get on board with that. Whining like a lion that don’t conjugate with no sheep
