10 Miles Back Again

I have a bunch of family there, lived there for part of my uni, and visit with some regularity. The people there drive me absolutely bonkers (family included lol) but the state itself is absolutely gorgeous. Weather is pretty variable depending on where you are in the state, Logan in the north is a cold gray miserable place, St. George in the south is essentially a sandy desert.

Couldn’t agree more. There is something in the Cool-aid here. If the access to terrain and scenery weren’t what they are, the people would drive me away.

Other states! Haha. You have to drive through South Dakota from ND

not sure if that funny or completely uncalled for …

Agreed. Been twice hated both times.

There is a running joke. Not even the French like Parisians.
In fact the Japanese embassy had a special culture shock team for their people. As Japan is very polite, very well majored. Where as Paris is a shit hole full of arseholes. A lot of Japanese people struggle.

I thought it was just a stereotype, and I’m sure that most parisians are wonderful ppl, but the encounters I had with various employees at shops were bad. Luckily we had my dad’s business partner around so we didn’t have to ask for directions much

Barely catching up here, had to skim through much. Any update on your housing situation? Last time I was caught up there was an urgent need to relocate.

There still seems to be an urgent need. It’s a ā€œwork in progressā€ at the minute. Getting slightly edgy at the slow or lacking response from some quarters, but not quite panic time yet. Starting to get some of the stuff we know we’ll need to do, done so we don’t have as much to worry about nearer the time.

Thanks for asking.

I agree 100% i’m not sure how excited i am to wait 3 years or more for the conclusion of another 5 parter though

Work for today:
Easy Strength for Fat Loss day 8:

50 burpees

Notes:

  • Today didn’t go quite as planned so squeezed this in. Didn’t have time for the walk, so subbed in some burpees. They sucked.
  • Wanting to get through all 40 days before moving disrupts, so i’ll look for opportunities to get ahead and get it done where i can.
  • Presses and DL are feeling really easy, so probably time to add weight here.

I’ve not seen this before. Dan John right?
My wife did easy strength for a while. Really worked. Till she quit.

Yep. Never done Easy Strength before, but i thought it fits nicely with the rest of my life right now. 15-30mins of undaunting lifting plus a walk, if time allows. No excuses, but also no stress.

Is there a book that outlines this programme? Never heard of it before but scanning through last few posts it’s piqued my interest
