10 Miles Back Again

I know what you meant but the image of you in fluorescent spandex was too good to ignore… going to start calling you Mr motivator :joy:

I didn’t say I wasn’t wearing flourescent spandex and leg warmers.

@SkyzykS always good to see you popping in man.

Work for today:
Press:
10 reps @ 60kg

Bench:
5 x 50kg
5 x 60kg
5 x 70kg
12 x 72.5kg
50 reps total @ 57.5kg (4 sets)

Rear delt superset (2 rounds):
15 x rear delt row
30 x Heavy partial rear delt raise

Y-raises: some

Notes:

  • Got called to go pick up the little man in the middle of this, this self isolation thing is fun.
  • Everything felt weak and shit. Been feeling really mentally tired these last few days, for no reason I can figure out so probably whatevers causing that is causing this, although I’m still getting a fair bit of forearm pain when pressing, so that probably is a factor too.

Good lifting. Sorry to hear about the pressing pain and other issues.

You think non-lifting stress is causing this, or do you think fatigue from this (really hard, high-volume) program is doing it to you?

Rear delt work is smart. I could use some. Damn.

I don’t know, honestly. I wouldn’t have thought either but they’re both possible.

Bit of a game day decision that one. Finished my BBB sets and figured that my planned JM presses are just overkill after Bench and Press, so went for something that I know i should do more of. This is a pretty quick way to absolutely blast them.

What’s your food been like this week??

Slightly subpar, is probably fair. I’ve gained weight so probably enough, just not as high quality as normal.

How much protein ?

Pass. Probably enough?

My guess (totally uneducated guess I might add) is that your increase in workload needs more protein.

That makes more sense than anything I’ve come up with. Will this do?

For one day or one meal ?

Thats just for tonight. I’ll increase my protein for a while, see what happens.

May also be worth mentioning my bread consumption has been up drastically these last few weeks. Might be a corelating factor, as its the only sugary carbs I eat.

Just stopping in for a pre-emptive “fuck you” for when England rolls over Denmark tonight.

This is England. We all know this isn’t going to be a steamroller jobbie

This is England, never underestimate their ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I’d love a win but agree with @dagill2 I don’t see a steamrolling - would love to keep that clean sheet and keep the game to 90 mins, but given Denmark’s standard MO Vs England, our chances aren’t great.

I think our chances are good. On paper, it should be a steam roller job. But we are England and we all know we’ll find a way to fuck this right up.

Stop reading those red tops

Denmark are 5 for 6 having beaten us as recently as 2020, England are perpetual underperformers who’ve managed a couple of good games in the last 2 weeks. If they play like they have last two games then I think we’ll do it (and Italy!) That’s a big ask though, but this is one instance where I desperately want to be proven wrong haha.

I think Denmark has been playing a little better than they actually are, in no small part because of what happened to Eriksen. It will either come to an end tonight, or they will get smashed by Italy.
